One of the best bars I've ever been to! We sat upstairs, and it was like I was in Hawaii. From the themed drink cups to the decor, this place hit the theme 100%. When we arrived, the upstairs bar wasn't busy, so we were able to get a seat. The drinks on the menu looked delicious, but I was craving an Aperol Sprtiz, and luckily for me, they had one. It was perfect. We really wanted to try a fun, themed drink, so we got the navy grog which came in a shark head cup. I think this is the cutest drinking cup I've ever had at a bar. It was actually a big drink that two people could easily share, which me friend and I did. Service was fast and friendly.

Amazing vibes, food was executed and the service was just as good. It's a very unique spot!

Wanted to give a shoutout for how awesome High Dive was for my friend's 40th birthday celebration last night. We were able to reserve part of upstairs and the other half was another birthday party. The bar was still open to other patrons, so it downstairs is busy, see if you can snag a bar chair upstairs. The server was awesome and overall the entire staff crushed it. They even brought out a birthday donut and sang! Atmosphere was dimly lit but with cool tiki vibes upstairs. They do have little lamps if you need to borrow to see the menu. Highly recommend.

Tiki bar alert! The upstairs bar 'is a vibe' (as the kids say), and bartender Minh makes a helluva cocktail. Super friendly staff and owner. Their cocktail program is unmatched in the greater Harrisburg area. Highly recommend a visit if you're into tropical cocktails, rum, and good times.

Stopped by on a Friday night while I waited to pick someone up from the airport. All the seats at the bar were filled so I grabbed a high top and ordered a Daiquiri and one of their toasts, specifically the Bahn Mí. Both the drink and toast were balanced. The Bahn Mí had a nice funk that complimented the Jamaican pot still that they used in the drink. The toast also brought acid from the pickled onions which rounded things out. Would go back just as much for the food as the drinks. While the lighting was low you could still sense their unique vibe on Tiki.

Fantastic spot as one would expect from the team behind The Millworks and the Watershed Pub. Absolutely recommend, but read on. High Dive is built on the bones of a former nuisance/dive bar, but successfully retained architectural details while seriously improving the space. Service was absolutely first-rate during both of my visits and at both the upstairs and downstairs bars. High Dive specializes in cocktails, so while beer and wine are available the focus is on spirits. Food is available but mainly small plates and burgers. Drink prices are probably a bit on the high side but absolutely worth it for drink quality and atmosphere. High Dive is a tremendous addition to Midtown Harrisburg and well worth a visit

I am so glad to have discovered this new spot in Harrisburg. We stopped in for an evening for appetizers and drinks. Be aware, you do have to park in street parking and may have to pay to park depending on what time you go. They have a nice area downstairs and another upstairs with quite the "divey" vibe. The drinks are excellent. I had the blue Hawaiian which was decorated all cute with a tropical twist. My husband got the Saturn, and he liked the drink despite not being a gin fan. The espresso martini was excellent, highly recommend. I got the pickled eggs for an appetizer, which had a bit too much vinegar for me amongst all the ingredients, but were still good overall. My husband got the chicken dumplings, which he said was tasty with the sauce, but was a bit dry. Overall we had a good experience with excellent service. We just wish they had a bit more options on the food menu.

Easily one of the coolest bars in the area. The drinks are amazingly crafted. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is electric. High Dive hits all the marks.

The High Dive is a revamp of a bar that's been in the city of Harrisburg for many many years. I must say they did an amazing job, the ambiance is dark and sultry but don't let that deter you from entering Because although the lighting is dark there is plenty light. The bartenders are all welcoming and friendly! However ( Dustin) went above and beyond with attentiveness and even joined me in a little game I like to call "guess who". The bar has many options if you'd like something simple, but they also have some out of norm cocktails. They have tiki drinks and some are even served in large conch shells. The loaded fries are also a must get, hot crispy waffle fries, pulled pork, drizzled with a house made cheese wiz, need I say more? If you're in the area be sure to pop in you won't regret it, I will be back very soon!

Yelp suggests I comment on Food, Service, and Ambiance. All of these items are, of course, excellent at the High Dive. But, being a bar, other criteria come into play - the two that come to mind are the skill of the bartenders and the quality of the ingredients they use. Over the course of nearly three hours, the young lady tending bar in the tiki themed upstairs plied her trade making delicious tiki drinks as well as traditional standards such as Manhattans, Negroni's and whiskey sours. The owner of this establishment has also curated one of the best selections of liquors, liqueurs, house made syrups and fresh juices that we've seen on this trip across the US. Their happy hour featured several budget priced cocktails which we thoroughly enjoyed before plowing into the main menu. Their steak frites special of the day proved delicious as well. I'm envious of Harrisburg residents who make this their neighborhood bar, as out of town visitors we'll have to make do once a year as we crisscross the country every Summer.

An absolute gem in the heart of the historic district . Staff are super friendly and will assist with selecting the perfect cocktail for you and your party. Large selection to choose from or if you have a favorite cocktail, just ask for it. Nice selection of food appetizers that complement your cocktail selection. The bar atmosphere is alive and buzzing and best of all, no babies or children allowed! Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Yes, cocktail and appetizers are a little on the pricey side, but you're paying for the experience and the great tasting drinks and food. I highly recommend a visit the next time you're in the area and looking for a great cocktail.

The vibes are really cool, they have perfectly nailed down their aesthetic in my opinion. Drinks are pretty good but overpriced. Food menu is also good, but not much variety-- everything has the same sauce on it which we found odd. The staff was very helpful and sweet. I would probably come back if I was bringing someone who hasn't been before, or maybe a special occasion.

In the middle are three gorgeous chandeliers, and at the heart of it all is the bar. We were seated upstairs with a view of the downstairs and it was absolutely amazing. For starters we got the oysters which were delicious!! We're from Maryland so we're very judgy with our oysters, but these were great. We've have oysters that were not great out this way so we were nervous, but Rubicon delivered excellence! Next we had the truffle toast special and their octopus. What an amazing pair. The octopus was an absolute delight. It wasn't over cooked and the yucca it was served with was a great compliment to it. The toast was so light and rich at the same time. The truffle added such beautiful depth and complexity without being physically dense. For our mains I had the filet special with mushrooms and my partner had the lamb. Both were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and served. I'll be dreaming of the mushrooms that were served with my steak for weeks to come. We finished off our dinner with the dark chocolate lava cake and two espresso martinis. Both of which were stunning. The cake was moist and not too sweet like some chocolate cakes can be and the espresso martini was perfectly balanced. Rubicon is worth the drive if you're not local and worth the money if you are. Definitely a place I will be recommending to my friends!!

Went to Rubicon to celebrate the valentine's day holiday and thoroughly enjoyed it!…read more A stylish, tucked away in the heart of Harrisburg, Rubicon serves a mix of Italian, French, and Spanish style cuisine with fresh specials offered as well. My husband and I ordered the mussel appetizer which was delicious in the white wine reduction. The main meals consisted of lobster ravioli and a tagliatelle pasta. Though I felt the lobster ravioli needed a touch more of something or a bit of a kick, I very much enjoyed it! We ended the meal with a triple chocolate ice cream that was heavenly! Our server was excellent and kind and attentive to our needs. Though I am not usually a fan of a built in, mandatory 20% gratuity fee, the servers and staff definitely earned it and more! Will be back!

Just felt like a place people would come after work and shoot the crap with their favorite bartender or meet their bud for happy hour. Not touristy & obnoxious. Food - 10/10. Calamari was to die for. Probably gonna get some for takeout tonight since I'm thinking about it. I got the lamb. Lamp was tender and seasoned nicely. Brussels were perfect! Potatoes paired perfectly and the portions were huge. Man got the smothered chicken. Same Brussels but his dinner came with wild rice . Again, delicious. Drinks - gulped down. They had some fun festive cocktails for Halloween and the margarita I had was tasty. Could taste the liquor without being unbearable. Sweet enough without being syrupy and sickening. Just up my alley. Maybe not for everyone. Jeff, if I remember correctly was our server and he was great. Have nice recommendations. Was honest and open with his opinions which I appreciate. And service was steady. Didn't feel rushed or forgotten about. Can't wait to go back and try out some more of this neighborhood staple.

This place was fantastic, the kind of spot you're genuinely glad you stumbled into. The atmosphere had that perfect mix of cool and comfortable. I grabbed a beer, Stacy's Mom, and I'd order it again without thinking twice. My wife went for the Self‑Loathing Burger, which lived up to the hype. My daughter ordered the Mother‑Clucker (pictured), and after she gave me a bite, I immediately regretted not getting my own. I ended up with the Pittsburgher (also pictured), and it was outstanding, one of those sandwiches you keep thinking about afterward. Between the vibe and the food, it honestly felt like a little slice of heaven. Highly recommend stopping in for dinner.

I stopped in for brunch this weekend with a friend after seeing their new menu and brunch specials…read moreon social media, and I'm so glad we did! We ordered the oxtails and grits along with a pitcher of pineapple mimosas. The grits were honestly some of the creamiest I've ever had! The oxtails were tender, very meaty, seasoned perfectly, and came with a delicious gravy. Everything was flavorful without being overly seasoned. And yes -- the mimosas were STRONG! I also ordered the strawberry stuffed French toast and bacon to take home, and it did not disappoint. The French toast was really good and, thankfully, not overly sweet. The service was another highlight. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without being overbearing. I also really appreciated the atmosphere. The music was playing, but at a comfortable volume where you could actually enjoy it and have a conversation -- not the "why did I come here?" level of loud that some brunch spots have. The location is also a plus. It's far enough away from the busiest part of 2nd Street that parking wasn't a hassle, and they have their own parking lot, which is a definite bonus in downtown/midtown Harrisburg. Overall, this was a really enjoyable brunch experience. **Good food, strong drinks, great service, and a comfortable atmosphere.** I'll definitely be back to try more from the new menu!

Honestly it's a bummer that I can't say this was a 10/10 experience. I will preface this review…read morewith saying I think this establishment has so much potential. The food is good! The creativity is there! The building has a wonderful layout and beautiful bones. However, the prices, & service are just not where I think they need to be in my opinion. I think this is an example of an establishment that wants to be looked at as more of a fine dining experience but has items like 4 whole wings and fries on the menu and then priced at $25.00 dollars... and the waitress may or may not remember you placed a appetizer order. With that being said I would still recommend if in the area and you're craving soul food. We unfortunately don't have many restaurants that service this kind of food so I still think it's very important to support and I personally look forward to watching this place continue to grow.

I used to enjoy this place weekends late at night for a different vibe than all other downtown…read morebars. But then I went here Saturday night around 1 am and was charged a $5 cover. When did they start that? Why? To kill off their business obviously. The door man told us we'd have to wait a few minutes to "clear some people out," so I'm thinking it's packed and poppin'. Cleared out, yes, poppin', no. Basically, I will return again only if: I'm too drunk to remember why I shouldn't go here or if I have a date I want to dance with alone on the dance floor. Or maybe take a dump in the bathroom since it's not too busy and I could have privacy. All three above scenarios seem unlikely, so I won't be back any time soon.

Knock has to be one of the coolest bars in the Harrisburg area, and I cannot wait to go back…read more I recently visited Knock during Harrisburg's parade day, after a long day of day drinking. My best friend, who lives locally, told us about the place. We were hesitant leaving the comfort of 2nd street, but we followed her down Pine Street and stopped at the entrance to "Madam Knock's Pine Street Beauty Parlor." After giving the bouncer the weekly password (this can be found on their facebook /knock.hbg, twitter @knock_hbg, or instagram @knock_hbg), we went up a flight of stairs and entered the Beauty Parlor. The Beauty Parlor was set up perfectly, and after giving the password one more time, the bookshelf vanished to the side.... and TA DA! We entered the Speakeasy, a whole new world. The music was pumping, the drinks were flowing, people were dancing, the lights were low, and we were in for a good time. The entire bar/ club has a Prohibition-era style fashion with dark hardwood floors, lots of purple, and chandeliers. The bar was located all the way to the back, which is also where the exit is. There is a dance floor in the middle, and centered is a DJ. There are a few seating areas in addition to the VIP sections. I think there was a total of 3 VIP sections which ran about $250 + per a night. The drinks were fruity and presented well- I wish I could comment on the price, but I really can't recall. You can browse their drink menu on their website. Knock is only open on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 PM until 2 AM. This is a Harrisburg MUST.
