I called the shop and they were wanting to charge me $100 to bring it to the shop and another $100 to deliver it back to my house. Not including whatever work was done. They were very unfriendly and seemed annoyed that I was calling. I ended up having a small engine mechanic look at it and it was the carburetor. It had to be replaced and I did ask why this was ( the shop tried blaming me saying that I hadn't taken care of the moped correctly so that's why it wasn't starting) my mechanic said simply it was because it was a cheaply made part. Horrible service. They only want to make money and will do anything to do so, once you buy their product they don't care and will not take responsibility for how cheaply the scooters are made.

My experience with Middlesex Power Sports / Old Outboard Marina or what ever else Mario is calling himself now, was exactly the same as other reviews you will find on the web if not worse. Mario had my boat for no less than...wait for it...4 1/2 years (not months, years). During which time I stopped in many many times to check on its status. I had to stop in as Mario does not take or return calls. In fact most of the time you can't even leave a message as his message are full. Twice when I visited I found he had been evicted from his place and the boat along with most everything else was gone. Tracking him down to his new location was both time consuming and as anxiety packed as you can imagine. At one point he did have it finished (although not tested) and was delivering it too me only to have the back engine cover fly off on rt 495. Mario did not lock the cover down and it was caught by the wind and flew off. This was a truly rookie mistake that could have easily killed someone. This is a much longer story than I have time to write here but after all the pain, anguish and time, Mario ended stiffing me for $200....sigh. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BOAT HERE AND ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PAY ANYTHING UP FRONT!

Savage Motor Sportz just charged him almost what we spent for his electric kick scooter just to put one tire on! We had spent $350 on that scooter last year but after a few tire punctures so recently bought solid tires for it. My husband had trouble putting one of them on so we brought it here and were told when we had to leave it there that the cost is usually $40. When he got a ride to pick it back up today, they charged him $280 +tax!! Any holiday money we had this year has now been spent to put one tire on!

Now mind you a lot of work went into it before this decision was made, and they still made the offer because they didn't feel comfortable allowing my son to drive it. Nowadays customer service is mostly non existent but at savage they put you first and are willing to work with you so that you leave happy and safe.
