Mmmmmm Hideawayyyyyy. My beloved piece of Stillwater in Norman. My happy place with a cold schooner (aka pimp cup, or chalice, whichever you prefer) of beer. Hideaway is bomb. The "hipster" servers as someone called them are always polite. I'm not sure wearing tie dye automatically makes you a hipster though. Now, this isn't fancy Wedge pizza. It IS delicious Midwest, stick to your bones and then some pizza. There's fun specialties and build your own. The crust is crispy the pizza is greasy and the signature red sauce has a deep flavor that makes you just wanna lick it off your plate. I've tried the pizza of the gods (for when you're feeling like a "healthy" pizza, the mama Mia (mini meatballs) but I always go to good ol pepperoni! I always get the mozzarella sticks, which are large and full of cheese. None of that over fried empty shell here. The fried mushrooms are also delicious. The fried pickles are a no go. And a friend swears by the wings but I have yet to sacrifice stomach space for wings AND mozz stocks and pizza. Holy saturated fat overload. read more

I've never had a bad meal. The pizza is outstanding, and fried mushrooms are amazing! Love it all! I actually did get a bad meal, recently. I ordered a supreme and fried mushrooms. I have been to this location a few times and it never disappoints! The restaurant is always clean and there is no wait time usually. We ordered the garlic knots as an appetizer and they came out hot and fresh (definitely worth ordering) i got the barbecue chicken pizza and split it with my boyfriend. We got the medium size and it was definitely big enough and we took some home. Our waitress was prompt and courteous and we left feeling full and content! read more

How has it taken me this long to write a review for Hideaway?! Well, needless to say, it's *the* local pizza chain for Oklahoma. My out-of-town family raves about it. I *always* get their specialty pies. And you can do halvies, even with two different sauces! A few favorites: Chicken Florentine, Capone, Paradise Pie. I came in with middle school boys and ALL of them were pleased- enough said. But, I will say more. We tried the fried mushrooms, pickles and cheese sticks- all fried carb heaven. The wings were good as well as the pizza. Overall, the meal was a bit overpriced but still delicious and the service was SPOT on. read more

This Hideaway brings so many memories - it was actually the first Hideaway I ever went to growing up. I love all of the Hideaway locations, but this one has to be one of my favorites. I realize that it's during COVID, however, there was a long wait, about 20 minutes with other people in the waiting area. There's plenty of open seating, even allowing for socially distanced tables (they're clearly marked). The pizza took 40 minutes to arrive to the table and it was room temperature. The food was not hot. Our waiter never came back to offer to clear the appetizer or for drink refills. No apology for being short staff was offered (however, I'm not sure if that was the issue). This particular location is NOT recommended. It's worth the drive to go to the Moore location. read more

Aside from having delicious pizzas, the salads and sandwiches are great too if you can pull yourself away from the pizza menu. Try the Parmesan peppercorn dressing, mmmmmmmmm. But I really want to say how great they have been when I've brought in big groups recently for work. I don't like doing the big group thing at restaurants, but sometimes you can't avoid it. OMG, this pizza is so freaking good. Try to go on a buffet night. They have lots of great vegetarian pizzas (Mediterranean, 5-cheese, Pizza of the Gods) and specialty pizzas (BBQ chicken, the big kahuna). Or you can always build your own pie. One thing that throws me off though is the absence of breadsticks. However, they do have other wonderful appetizers such as garlic bread. read more

We got 2 pizzas for take out. My pizza had burnt garlic on it that absolutely ruined the taste. Seriously the worst pizza I've had in years. The crust was okay, really don't have anythign better to say about it than that. The next day I had a slice of a Domino's pizza at a church function. It was actually very tasty, they've come a long way from having pizza that tasted like cardboard. Hideaway is my go-to pizza spot in Norman. I had some family from North Carolina in town and took them here for a local spot. They got pasta dishes which they said were really good. The service (waitress named Madelyn) was great (service is sometimes spotty). My favorite pizza is Da Bomb; 2nd fav is The Boz. Definitely recommend if you want good pizza! Had never eaten at Hideaway before and was with a large group of friends that went. Very pleasantly surprised. Although I didn't get pizza, the pies my group ordered looked absolutely amazing!!! My sandwich was the best I've had in a while, and Bobby, our waiter, was super helpful and punctual in taking care of our table. Total in our group was around 20, but we decided to divide into smaller packs our table had 8. Looking forward to going back. Prices were reasonable, too. read more

definitely not a bad choice for pizza in norman, they're going to give you more unique options than your average chain pizza place. an oklahoma owned company, you'll see pizzas with names referencing oklahoma and oklahoma state universities. one of my favorites is "the boz", but maui magic, and sweet sedona are two totally different options that are just as good. while i'm not a fan of it, they will do white sauce pizzas if you're into that sort of thing. they have sandwiches, but the pizza is so good i usually don't get them all too often. when i do i get the dagwood. sides you'll want to try are the fried mushrooms and mozz sticks. read more

Placed an online order at the wrong store. The manager fixed everything for us and ported our order and had it ready in 15 minutes. We forgot one of our boxes and he ran it out to our car to catch us before we left. This is hands down some of the best customer service I have ever seen, anywhere. I highly recommend this place. Absolutely the best place on campus to get pizza. Whether carry out or dine in, we have always had great smiling service and excellent food. I don't know of another establishment that has both of these qualities. I highly recommend the 50/50 appetizer (fried mushrooms & cheese sticks). It's a generous portion that won't leave you disappointed. It is popular for carry out on Friday night. So be prepared to have a lag time before the order will be ready for pick-up. read more

Good food & great customer service! My fiancée and I came in and ordered a thin crust pizza and hand tossed pizza. The kitchen accidentally switched up the crusts, which wasn't a big to us but the waiter and manager came out and told us they would remake the pizza and let us keep the pizza we already had. Hideaway has great pizza & innovative pizza topping combinations! I've never been displeased with anything I've eaten here. The Mediterranean pizza is great. I also recently tried the veggie combo & Margherita pizzas and they were both tasty too! Definitely try the fried mushrooms as well! Service is always friendly & it's got a decent atmosphere. The true value of the food in this place is the appetizers, get yourself some fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks! They can cure anything, except a heart attack this is not a heart healthy diet item. The pizzas are good but nothing excellent, it won't disappoint you but it also won't have you reaching for a third slice. Saturday we were heading in to Bricktown and saw they were having a VW car show outside of Hideaway Pizza, so we stopped in for the show then to get some pizza. We entered the restaurant and was surprised that it wasn't that busy (around 2pm). We were seated right away and we were excited because we were all thirsty from the heat outside. You won't find a better pizza place or a "funner" atmosphere in Oklahoma. With several unique pizza flavors, the adventurous eater could sample a different specialty each day of the week. The restaurant offers Pente games to be played while they cook your pizza, and there are a bunch of books above the game shelf. The staff is friendly and infrequent customer appreciation events (like spin the wheel of prizes for a free meal!) keeps things fun. One warning that all out-of-town visitors might take note of: Hideaway likes to close for nearly every holiday, so you might find their doors closed on odd days that you may have been craving a good pizza. read more

Some say KT was the greatest GM of all time and made every person he came into contact with want to come to work, others say with his size he should have been able to hit for more power on the softball team. But despite his inability to hit dingers, he gave way to me, who gave way to the queen of dragons, Mirabai. And she's the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. Ate here for supper with some friends and the food was typical Hideaway but safe to say the service was terrible..... Nothing makes me madder then when servers just want to flip tables! I understand that is how you make money but that will take your tip from me from a 30% or higher to 15%.... This will make me change where I want to go in a heart beat.... Not only was the waitress almost rude to us she got my friends order wrong and didn't even offer to fix it in anyway after he asked her about it.... Not impressed and I know that Hideaway offers better service but I will not plan to visit this one again! read more
