We picked up a pizza, a salad, and mozzarella sticks through a curbside order. I have to say that this was the best curbside pickup I've ever experienced. Very easy, very organized. Super courteous. He defines everything that I remembered about Hideaway in Oklahoma. We started off with their world famous Fried Mushrooms. They arrived cold. These had been prepared earlier and served cold. Uggggh. That never sets up the mood or the evening. I sent the mushrooms back. We ordered 3 different pizza's. Mine, a custom thin crust, cut into squares with Anchovies, ground beef, sausage, pepperoni, onions, green olives, mushrooms and extra cheese. My favorite. It arrived My sister, ordered extra cheese and pepperoni. Our friend ordered the Hurricane, Canadian Bacon, jalapeños, When I mentioned something was off here it's obvious that there is trouble going on in the kitchen. People all around us were waiting on their pizza's....waiting way too long. Heard several tables talking about the "wait" times. The pizza's were delicious. Everything i remembered from Oklahoma. In full transparency I tried to offer some constructive criticism to the manager on duty. This was after the mushrooms but before the pizza's arrived. She comp'd the pizzas even though I was deadset against it. Had the pizza's been bad I would have been ok with it. They weren't and in fact they were fantastic in every way. We love coming to the DFW area, because every time we do to see our son and friends, we are always trying something new to eat or experience. Hideaway is no exception to great experiences! After a day at the Stockyards with my niece and friends, we met up with our son for some pizza. Man o man- turns out it was more than just pizza. First off, we went upstairs to the terrace outdoor seating, which offered a lively environment. Our staff was on top of our drinks and needs all night long. Excellent service by them. We ordered some apps, like the mozzarella sticks and my favorite, the fried mushrooms! Golden and crispy, blended very well with our dipping sauces. The Baked Mac & Cheese was superb! Our pizza was very tasty. Loaded with fresh ingredients, and all the flavors hit just right. There was plenty of food to send home with my son. Been wanting to go here for awhile! We went on Monday evening! Was not very crowded they seated us fairly quickly then it took maybe 10 minutes for waitress to appear and she apologized for the wait! We ordered cheese sticks which came out cold and waitress replaced them and let us take home the cold ones! We ordered our pizza and my toppings were pretty messed up however the pizza tasted good anyway! It was my son's Birthday and the waitress said she was going to bring him a lemonade pie! My family and I have had multiple great experiences with Hideaway Pizza! We've only done takeout so far, but we've heard fantastic things about their rooftop patio -- the only one in the area, which makes it even more appealing for our next visit. They have a great selection of unique pizzas, and we've genuinely enjoyed everything we've tried. Each one has been fresh, flavorful, and made with care. I also have to give a special shoutout to one of the employees who went above and beyond during one of my online orders. Their online ordering system could use some improvement -- it's a bit clunky and confusing, especially when customizing different halves of a pizza. I had removed jalapeños from one half, and shortly after placing my order, someone from the kitchen actually called to confirm that my customization was intentional. I was super impressed! It's rare to see that level of attention to detail and customer care, and it left a lasting impression. Honestly, I'd go back just because of that interaction alone. The only thing we haven't been blown away by are the appetizers -- we've tried the fried ravioli and fried pickles. They weren't bad at all, just not as flavorful as the pizzas. Tried out this new pizza spot in town and overall had a great experience! The pizza itself was delicious--the dough especially stood out. I ordered the Margherita pizza and while the toppings weren't my personal favorite (I like full basil leaves and fresh mozzarella), the dough made it worth it. My boyfriend got a different pizza and absolutely loved his. We also tried the mozzarella sticks and fried mushrooms--both were solid, but the fried mushrooms definitely stole the show for me. Perfectly crispy and flavorful! The service was really nice too--I felt taken care of the entire time, even though the place was super busy. Everyone was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. It was pretty packed when we went (Friday around 5 pm), so parking was a bit of a challenge--we ended up across the street in a lot. Ok, its been six months or so since this place opened and I'm just now getting around to stopping in. So what took me so long? The place is kind of nice inside, not just your typical pizza joint. They have great seating and a full bar. I walked in the front door but should have entered in the back where they have a to-go entrance because I was getting an order to go. The employees were so nice and helpful while I took my time tryin to decide what I wanted. I decided on the Big Country, medium, and hand tossed crust. I liked it, it was really good and priced just like other pizza joints. The sausage, in my opinion, could have been cut a little thinner, that way they could have put more on. It was good sausage. Fried Mushrooms: Enjoyable, but the batter felt a bit too heavy, overshadowing the mushrooms themselves. The ranch sauce was decent but lacked a bit of flavor. Pizzas: Both were good, though I personally prefer a bolder red sauce. My husband, who is picky about pepperoni, wasn't too impressed with that option but did enjoy the meatball pizza more. So my wife has been bugging me to come try this, but we wanted to wait until the lines died down a little bit. I was very surprised that we had no wait on a Saturday about 6 PM but they have a lot of tables it's a big place. The waiter was a bit slow, and I was surprised by that. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that it was a few weeks after opening up he recommended the fried cheese, sticks and mushrooms. The cheese sticks were really good, but weren't hot just lukewarm. We have always enjoyed eating at the original Hideaway, so we were very excited to see one open in Fort Worth! Unfortunately, this restaurant still has a lot to work out. We had called to be put on the waitlist around 4:15pm. Staff member said it should be around 20-30 minutes. We arrive at the location around 4:45pm, and magically there was no record of being put on the waitlist... manager noted that they will seat us in the next 30 minutes, which we were ok with. We ended up being seated at 6:00pm. Unfortunately, I will also echo what some other reviewers have mentioned - even food service is incredibly slow. We had some appetizers and 3 small pizzas for the table; while the appetizers were fresh, it took over 30 minutes after seating until we were able to begin eating, and another 75 minutes since seating to where we had received our pizzas - which were all were soggy in the middle. One positive - our server was nice, but clearly spread thin - we were sat on the second floor, and while full, there were only two servers upstairs to manage all the patrons. This review was a tough one as we love the original hideaway. I hope they can turn things around as the concept is wonderful. read more

My fiancé and I got our own cauliflower pizzas to go and we were very impressed! He emphasized how kind the employees were and helping him find the curbside to pick up the pizza, which heads up he says you need to go around the building which was not too clear. What a fun pizza joint. We have been to the original joint up in Stillwater as both of my kids went to OkState there in Stillwater, so we are very familiar with this brand. The looks and design are exactly what you would expect for a college Pizza place. Now for the pizza. My Daughter got the "Pizza of the gods" pizza, she thoroughly enjoyed. It said it was her favorite pizza to get there. The rest of us split a large "Aporkalypse Pizza". This thing was loaded with bacon, sausage and smoked pork shoulder as well as bacon and Canadian bacon. Now I personally love a good meat lovers pizza and have had a few of them but this has got to be my favorite. By all means go eat here.
