Chocolate Chip Sweetza: 11/10
Bo B.

The dessert sweetza was insane. Probably better than BJs. Pizza was also extremely good. Well worth the drive for us. They load everything up. Our waitress was great as well as we were a little complicated with people showing up in waves. Glad we don't live closer or we would be fat.

We love coming to the DFW area, because every time we do to see our son and friends, we are always trying something new to eat or experience. Hideaway is no exception to great experiences! After a day at the Stockyards with my niece and friends, we met up with our son for some pizza. Man o man- turns out it was more than just pizza. First off, we went upstairs to the terrace outdoor seating, which offered a lively environment. Our staff was on top of our drinks and needs all night long. Excellent service by them. We ordered some apps, like the mozzarella sticks and my favorite, the fried mushrooms! Golden and crispy, blended very well with our dipping sauces. The Baked Mac & Cheese was superb! Our pizza was very tasty. Loaded with fresh ingredients, and all the flavors hit just right. There was plenty of food to send home with my son. This has become a favorite hangout for my buds down here, and it's easy to see why. Thank you for the great experience, and hope to come by again soon. As always, enjoy & Happy Eating!

My pizza with sausage after I said no sausage! Still pretty good!

Been wanting to go here for awhile! We went on Monday evening! Was not very crowded they seated us fairly quickly then it took maybe 10 minutes for waitress to appear and she apologized for the wait! We ordered cheese sticks which came out cold and waitress replaced them and let us take home the cold ones! We ordered our pizza and my toppings were pretty messed up however the pizza tasted good anyway! It was my son's Birthday and the waitress said she was going to bring him a lemonade pie! We waited for 25 minutes for her to bring the pie she never came back and that was even after she said she would be right back with it! Overall the pizza was good, they made the cheese sticks right!! Just couldn't get his Pie! I will try again sometime and hopefully they do better! Happy Eating Everyone!

It was pretty good for an American pizza place! Very pleased with the food and the service from beginning to end. The star of the show was definitely the pizzas, and the 50/50 portion was massive. I wouldn't order the mushrooms or fried mozzarella again, though (the 50/50). Those were meh, but the pizzas were both awesome. The interior is casual with a relaxed ambiance. Our server was great.

Stopped by Hideaway Pizza while in town for an event and needed a quick, easy place for lunch. Found it online and figured it would work well for our group and it was exactly what we needed! The menu is huge, with plenty of options to please everyone, from pizza lovers to burger fans and even the pickier eaters in the bunch. The vibe is super casual and comfortable, no frills, just good food in a relaxed setting. We ordered a mix of pizzas, burgers, and wings to share, and everything came out hot, fresh, and tasty. Nothing overly fancy, but exactly what you'd hope for from a place like this. It's definitely family‑friendly, with a fun atmosphere that keeps things lively but not chaotic. If you're looking for something easygoing, quick, and satisfying without breaking the bank, Hideaway Pizza totally fits the bill. Great spot for groups, kids, or anyone who just wants a good slice and chill vibes. Would absolutely stop by again next time I'm in town!

Ok, its been six months or so since this place opened and I'm just now getting around to stopping in. So what took me so long? The place is kind of nice inside, not just your typical pizza joint. They have great seating and a full bar. I walked in the front door but should have entered in the back where they have a to-go entrance because I was getting an order to go. The employees were so nice and helpful while I took my time tryin to decide what I wanted. I decided on the Big Country, medium, and hand tossed crust. I liked it, it was really good and priced just like other pizza joints. The sausage, in my opinion, could have been cut a little thinner, that way they could have put more on. It was good sausage. Loved the crust and you know that really makes a great pizza. No beating around the bush on this place, I will definitely be back.

Good pizza as usual at a different location! We had about a 45 minute wait. It was right after the snow/ice so everyone was getting to get out. We got our text that table was ready and proceeded in. Server was friendly and attentive. Pizza was delicious and we got the 50/50 starter with fried mozzarella sticks + fried mushrooms. Games were on the TV's and lively atmosphere. Good times & good food.

The happy menu

It's Friday we just got off work and had to make a decision where to eat because in Roanoke everything closes at 11pm. We decided on Hideaway cuz we can get a pie half and half. We got half Sicilian and Pizza of the Gods with World Class Mushrooms as our starter. Our greeter Frankie was polite and guided us to a booth near the bar and all the sports action on the tv screen. The vibes is always vibrant and upbeat. Our server Angie was friendly and took our order easy peasy.

My family and I have had multiple great experiences with Hideaway Pizza! We've only done takeout so far, but we've heard fantastic things about their rooftop patio -- the only one in the area, which makes it even more appealing for our next visit. They have a great selection of unique pizzas, and we've genuinely enjoyed everything we've tried. Each one has been fresh, flavorful, and made with care. I also have to give a special shoutout to one of the employees who went above and beyond during one of my online orders. Their online ordering system could use some improvement -- it's a bit clunky and confusing, especially when customizing different halves of a pizza. I had removed jalapeños from one half, and shortly after placing my order, someone from the kitchen actually called to confirm that my customization was intentional. I was super impressed! It's rare to see that level of attention to detail and customer care, and it left a lasting impression. Honestly, I'd go back just because of that interaction alone. The only thing we haven't been blown away by are the appetizers -- we've tried the fried ravioli and fried pickles. They weren't bad at all, just not as flavorful as the pizzas. Overall, Hideaway Pizza is now absolutely in our regular pizza rotation. Great food, thoughtful staff, and an awesome local spot. Definitely check them out!

Mozzarella sticks and fried mushrooms

Tried out this new pizza spot in town and overall had a great experience! The pizza itself was delicious--the dough especially stood out. I ordered the Margherita pizza and while the toppings weren't my personal favorite (I like full basil leaves and fresh mozzarella), the dough made it worth it. My boyfriend got a different pizza and absolutely loved his. We also tried the mozzarella sticks and fried mushrooms--both were solid, but the fried mushrooms definitely stole the show for me. Perfectly crispy and flavorful! The service was really nice too--I felt taken care of the entire time, even though the place was super busy. Everyone was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. It was pretty packed when we went (Friday around 5 pm), so parking was a bit of a challenge--we ended up across the street in a lot. On the plus side, we went during happy hour and got a nice deal on drinks, which made up for the hassle. I'd definitely come back again, maybe just on a less busy day. The food, drinks, and service are worth it!

Garlic Knots

We ordered for curbside pick-up, this occasion. Our order included their Build Your Own pizzas: a thin crust pepperoni and a regular crust topped with meatballs, bacon, and mushrooms. We also tried the garlic knots, Alfredo penne pasta, fried mushrooms, and a couple of slices of lemon cheesecake. The online ordering and pick-up process was seamless with no issues at all. Garlic Knots: Flavored well without being overly garlicky, although the marinara sauce was just okay. Alfredo Penne Pasta: Tasted great, and the penne was cooked just right. Fried Mushrooms: Enjoyable, but the batter felt a bit too heavy, overshadowing the mushrooms themselves. The ranch sauce was decent but lacked a bit of flavor. Pizzas: Both were good, though I personally prefer a bolder red sauce. My husband, who is picky about pepperoni, wasn't too impressed with that option but did enjoy the meatball pizza more. Lemon Cheesecake: Absolutely delicious with the perfect tartness; if only the slices were a bit bigger! Despite this review, we plan to dine in at a later date to enjoy the full experience. I'm hopeful that will earn them an extra star!

You wanna Hideaway during the day? This is the place!! Its right next to Chuys (I can see chuys from the patio). We sat outside on the patio and it was a nice breeze. People were super nice at soft opening! They officially open Monday August 18th 2025! The opening staff will be here a few weeks and all of them are so awesome! If they can keep half this level of service this place will stay packed. The good: *The Service: Our waitresses name was Emily and she was great! I will request her next time. *Atmosphere: Laid back ambiance, Tvs on patio *Specials: Mon-Friday happy hour 4-7p. *Food: They have good ranch dressing. The chocolate chunk cookie for dessert was so good. It's like the BJs pizookie. It was delicious. I did burn 2 of my fingers grabbing the dish it was served in so please be careful when it's delivered. Take your time and wait for it to cool down! The Bad: *The pizza had a little too much sauce for my liking, but this is personal preference. My daughter liked all the sauce. * I burned my finger on the dish the dessert was served in. The food runner definitely should've warned me about how hot it was. * A little pricey: 1 large pizza and a dessert was about $34. Overall I recommend coming to check out this pizza place.

So my wife has been bugging me to come try this, but we wanted to wait until the lines died down a little bit. I was very surprised that we had no wait on a Saturday about 6 PM but they have a lot of tables it's a big place. The waiter was a bit slow, and I was surprised by that. Giving him the benefit of the doubt that it was a few weeks after opening up he recommended the fried cheese, sticks and mushrooms. The cheese sticks were really good, but weren't hot just lukewarm. The fried mushrooms were really awesome and I don't have any complaints just a bit much on the breading. We got a medium that was half Capone and half supreme. That pizza was amazing and loved every bite of it. We even reheated several pieces the next day and were almost as good. I would definitely come back and try different appetizer, but love their pizza .

Pizza. We ordered Sicilian and half MAUI MAGIC.

It was my mom's birthday and she was in the mood for Italian. I had heard good things about Pie Tap…read moreso Pie Tap it was! We came in on a cold Monday night. We parked at street parking across the restaurant without issue. Inside, we were promptly seated. The inside is nice and dim with an open kitchen. We started the night off with the Fondue. The rosemary buffs were delicious and the perfect vehicle for the two different dips - goat cheese fondue and pecan pepper jam. I really enjoyed the goat cheese. It was nice and hearty, pairing very well with the bread. The pepper jam added a sweet touch but I'm more a savory person so I was more than content with the cheese itself. My mom got the papparadelle and bolognese while I got the sausage pizza. The papparadelle was nice and al dente. It paired well with the bolognese sauce. However, I felt it was warm when it came out so it got cold quickly. The sausage pizza was delicious! The star of the pie were easily the carmelized onions - added such a perfect level of sweetness that it really elevated the whole dish. The crust also went well with the cheese from the fondue. At this point in the evening, we were feeling pretty full. Nonetheless, our waiter, Seamus, knew it was my mom's birthday. With that in mind, he treated us to the donuts. They came with chocolate sauce and strawberry jam. Both were good. I personally preferred the chocolate since that's what I usually lean more towards. We thought it was such a nice gesture. The night was that much more special because of Seamus. Overall, althrough everything wasn't perfect (not that it should have been), the work and effort was clearly there. Looking forward to coming back again one day.

It's not that the other pie wasn't good... rather, the meatza was that delicious that it's all I can really remember. The pizza at Zalat is New York style thin slice. The meatza was jam-packed with savory goodness - pepperoni, bacon, salami, and sausage. When paired with ranch, it was even better! Perfect to get me through the night. Would definitely get Zalat again. Next time, I'm looking forward to trying the different, unique options that they have.

As a resident on Magnolia, we're fortunate to have many great restaurants to support. Cane Rosso…read morewas no exception. My parents were in town and we decided to come here for my birthday in fact. Usually, we would have walked. Though it was pretty cold outside. There's a small lot that's right at the entrance (or back) of the restaurant. However, in the likely case that it's full, there's a spacious lot that's nearby next to the parking garage as well. Inside, we were quickly seated. Our waitress brought out our drinks promptly. We knew what we wanted so we ordered then and there as well. For appetizers, we got the Artichokes Classique. I'm not the biggest artichokes fan. I may or may not have been trying to convince my parents that I have a sophisticated adult palate and this looked like it would do the job. The artichokes were lightly fried with a crispy exterior. They retained their earthy, taste. Paired well with the slightly spicy, garlicky calabrian chile aioli. My dad got the Chicken Parm Sandwich. It was nice and meaty - solid chicken parm! What really stood out, in my opinion, was the side caesar salad. They used whole gem lettuce as opposed to romaine which I felt offered a better texture, presentation, and helped with the dressing distribution. My mom, or rather all of us, got the Chorizo y Miele which was their pizza of the month for Feburary. Without a doubt, it was one of the many highlights of this night. It's a sweet-spicy pizza with rich, salty sausage accented by an appropriate amount of habanero honey drizzle. I had never had sweety drop peppers but it was such a nice addition in terms of presentation for the month of February, texture with the slight cruchiness of the whole pepper, and flavor with the slight spice. Last but not least, the texture of the pizza was phenomenal. The crust had that nice smokey flavor - perfect base for all of the ingredients on top. Finally, I got the Truffle Carbonara. Rich. Decadent. Mindblowing. This is easily one of the top three carbonaras that I have ever had. It was so delicious. The truffle flavor is not overwhelming at all - just the right amount. Lastly, I want to comment on the stellar service. We were checked on frequently by our wonderful waitress. Additionally, since it was my birthday, we had brought a cake from a bakery to the restaurant. Not only did she offer to store the cake in the fridge, but she made sure that we had enough plates, silverware, and even a lighter for the candles. Truly made sure that the evening was special! Overall, I'm looking forward to one day coming back to Cane Rosso. From trying the unique monthly pasta and pizza specials to the wonderful service, you can't go wrong with a meal here!

When I took my first bite, it was immediately obvious the pizza was not fresh. The cheese wasn't hot or melty like a freshly made pizza should be. Instead, it appears they used pre-made slices that were already sitting out and combined them to make a 14" pizza. I did not receive a fresh pie--just reheated, old slices passed off as a new pizza. That's unacceptable, especially at this price point. If a customer orders a fresh large pizza, it should actually be made fresh, not assembled from leftover slices and warmed up.
