Even with a good amount of people in the building, it didn't feel crowded. Even with the tournament going on, several employees were helping customers not involved with the event and keeping on top of regular business. They love to chit chat and are into a lot of esoteric things. That is the charm of these mom and pop shops-- you get to know the people. The downside is the overall goals for the store are overly ambitious for the couple and others in the area are doing it better. There are a lot of arcade machines inside, broken, collecting dust, while other businesses such as an arcade in Paw Paw is set to open, and there is an expanded Beercade in downtown Kalamazoo with more arcade games and pinball machines. In terms of their product, often it is priced high while the condition of it is quite low. I've bought multiple disk games that didn't work. Some were too scratched to play or the disks were warped. I tried to have them repaired but they were too far gone. In short, products aren't tested at all or not thoroughly. Some handhelds have faulty electronics, bad speakers, and other problems that don't justify their price. Often, they are priced higher than ones in a better condition on eBay. As much as I want to recommend Treasure Quest because it's a mom and pop shop, I can't. The products they have don't justify the price and the overall condition of many of the items are below average.
