Even with 3 employees behind the counter they seemed to be more interested in talking amongst themselves rather than helping the several costumers in the store. I had bought a handful of stuff from them a few months back and was there to trade them in and buy new content as the store name implies, it's a rip off, even though paying $40+ the first time, they offered me less than $15 for it. As most places that have comics and trading cards, the Warehouse also has quite the selection of Funko pops as well as other action figures. They have a small counter top display with dice, an area with trading card accessories (like binders, deck boxes, and playing mats), and a trading card event space. While we were there, a trading card tournament was actively being held. Employees were friendly, prices were fair and the space was well organized. Even with a good amount of people in the building, it didn't feel crowded. Even with the tournament going on, several employees were helping customers not involved with the event and keeping on top of regular business. I would recommend this spot to stop for comics or trading cards.

Kids also have game and comic options as well as stuffed animals that are great for all ages. Staff is friendly, greeting us as we entered and various employees asking if we needed help with anything during our visit. We got what we wanted and continued our adventure. I'm glad we make FanFare a regular Kalamazoo stop and am already looking forward to coming back.

Treasure Quest has its heart in the right place, but its execution is not where it's at. The owners…read moreof the store are super friendly, and personable. They love to chit chat and are into a lot of esoteric things. That is the charm of these mom and pop shops-- you get to know the people. The downside is the overall goals for the store are overly ambitious for the couple and others in the area are doing it better. There are a lot of arcade machines inside, broken, collecting dust, while other businesses such as an arcade in Paw Paw is set to open, and there is an expanded Beercade in downtown Kalamazoo with more arcade games and pinball machines. In terms of their product, often it is priced high while the condition of it is quite low. I've bought multiple disk games that didn't work. Some were too scratched to play or the disks were warped. I tried to have them repaired but they were too far gone. In short, products aren't tested at all or not thoroughly. Some handhelds have faulty electronics, bad speakers, and other problems that don't justify their price. Often, they are priced higher than ones in a better condition on eBay. As much as I want to recommend Treasure Quest because it's a mom and pop shop, I can't. The products they have don't justify the price and the overall condition of many of the items are below average.
