Hole 9, great par 3 playing downhill.

Played multiple courses on a Harbor Springs golf trip and this was by far our favorite course. The greens were fast and well maintained. Everyone from the pro shop to our starter Phil gave us genuine hospitality and made sure to educate us about the course.

    Awesome view from the patio!

Wonderful! A recently forgotten "hidden" gem! Has reopened and the chef and staff are doing an excellent job. Picturesque landscape. Terrific waitress "Tracey" Pure Michigan!! A must see, stop, golf and dinner. In no particular order!!! Just wish they had anchovies for there great Caesar! Just had dinner tonight. Sat outside by the Maple River. Great food, server Sara and music! Sara did a great job. Personable, polite and friendly. Prime cooked perfect. Music by Sean Bielby. Acoustic guitar. Very easy listening at a volume that you can still talk. Wonderful! Thanks for a great evening!!! Jasmin does a great job managing the staff and customers ensuring everyone is looked after. Very good team.

Place was all time!! Great views of the river and today the golf course. From the drinks to the food you can tell everything was locally sourced and made from scratch. I would recommend the fish over the beef there and do yourself a favor and try to homemade ice cream. Our services was great and the chef was nice enough to come out and great the guest. It's north Michigan at its finest and I will be back.

My go to course when visiting friends at Douglas Lake. Must also stop in and check out the new theme and food at Trovato!

This is a beautiful hidden gem in northern Michigan. Food is always very good and the golf is a great track for most players

When I used to come up here I would be so surprised that the lake bottom was sandy and that the water was clear. What a shocker right?? This lake is the perfect size. It's small enough that as a good swimmer you can swim across it, but large enough that you can take out the ski boat and ski, pontoon boat and relax, or sail on the catamaran. Being part of the Chain of Lakes means that it's connected, through a series of rivers, to multiple other lakes so you can spend the day boating through nature areas and rivers to gain access to other local lakes. You can also boat your way over to the Dockside, park, and hang out on the porch. The other great thing about this lake is that it is located next to some really cute little towns like Bellaire and Alden. Day trips out to Traverse City (the only large city around) take about 45 minutes and Charlevoix is close as well. For a slightly longer trip away, about 2 1/2 hours, you could go to Mackinac Island which is an island filled with historic houses and no cars, only horse and buggies are allowed (in the summer at least). Finally, my favorite thing about Lake Bellaire is the fact that the majority of lake cabins are truly cabins, not monstrosities of the like that line the shores of southern lakes. You really feel like you are going back in time and that there is nothing better than a day at the lake minus tv and outside influences.
