Excellence, excellence, excellence is what they do!! Even with 100s of people there for the event they did not skip a beat!

Only reviewing the chairlift rides. Comfortable ride and pretty scenery. Helpers were friendly. Couldn't really see much except trees but still pretty. It costs about $10 per person and you can ride as much as you want and the passes are good all day.

We stayed here for 5 nights with a golf package. 5 stars for the golf! We played Bay Harbor, Arthur Hills, Donald Ross Memorial, and the Heather, all the courses were in great shape and lots of fun. The first three were our favorites. We stayed in an Alpine Village 3 bedroom 3 bathroom condo. It had a lodge type of feel and at approximately 2400 square feet, it was very spacious. The beds were comfortable and the main floor had an open kitchen/dining/living room and 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The upstairs had a bedroom, bathroom, and loft area with a queen sleeper sofa. The unit was located on the second level and there are A LOT of stairs! No housekeeping unless requested and that worked fine for us as we were barely in the condo. It's nothing fancy but suited our needs. We tried the breakfast buffet and had dinner at the lounge, both were just ok. There are a ton of activities for all ages and a HUGE hot tub.

We wanted somewhere to stay that wasn't $500/ night like some of the places super close to water in Michigan. We ended up booking here. A few days before our arrival we got a call telling us that our 1 bedroom room didn't have AC so they were upgrading us to a 2 bedroom condo in Alpine Village and they hoped it was ok. It's been FABULOUS! The condos are well kept even though they are a bit older. Ours had a full kitchen that was well stocked with pots and pans so we cooked to save money on eating out. It had a washer and dryer and they even left laundry soap for us. That helped us not go home with 87 loads of laundry to do. The patios are fabulous and peaceful and we've loved our time here. The main lodge is probably the most in need of maintenance or repair but the staff is all friendly & nice. They have a schedule for the week that lists out the activities and the adventure center is helpful with planning things. We took the chairlift (needs repair in my opinion), the Segway tour, rode the paddle boats and played cornhole & ladders on the lawn. At the top of the mountain there's a great view of the bay and the scenery is amazing. Overall, we definitely feel the value was here and it was less than an hour to get to Petoskey, Mackinaw City and Indian River. We enjoyed day trips to all those places and loved coming back here at night to relax.

This review is about the spa. The front desk clerk Brandy was great - super friendly and efficient. The pedicure, however, was one of the worst I've ever had. No base coat, uneven polishing, paint on the skin, etc. It looks awful. And for $66? Come on. Ridiculous. I'll be taking it off tonight. I do NOT recommend AT ALL.

Kris K, Boyne Highlands ski instructor

My five-star review is not only for the Boyne Highlands ski resort, but for the amazing ski instructor "Kris K". Kris is one of Boyne's most tenured instructors and just amazing with kids. Kris took on our four kids (aged 8, 8, 6 and 6) and by the end of two days of lessons (2 hours each day), Kris had all four from basically no ski experience to going on chair lifts, making turns and able to stop on any terrain. Boyne Highlands is a great Midwestern resort; and with kid-friendly instructors like Kris K; we will be sure to come back for years to come. Clark (from Chicago)

Not a customer friendly place.

Poor maintenance of the inside building and products sold that are more than dramatically overpriced.

This weekend, I went skiing at two awesome ski resorts with my dad, named Treetops and Otsego Ski…read moreresort. Otsego was even funner than Treetops. It had a café, five individual lifts, plenty of fun trails and a massive terrain park. The café at Otsego was a very nice one, and had a large fire which was great to come into on a cold day. Unfortunately I wasn't able to be there for too long, and therefore couldn't see too many things that they served, but one thing I know was that the hot chocolate is great and the candy bars are delicious. The trails at Otsego were also great, but had a bit of a higher skill level. They had a few easy blues and greens, like Für Elise and Alan's alley for begenners, but no bunny hill, a load of blacks like waterfall and master's, two steep duo trails that me and my dad very much liked and even a few fun double blacks like Bob's Glade, a exciting and adrenaline-giving slope that emptied out into a easy green. The terrain park was also super fun, with gigantic jumps that sent me very high up into the air but no rails, which was ok but not as cool as it could be. The only rail I could find was a few rotten blocks of wood that someone had thrown together and then left to the power of the forest.

One thing about this place is it is clean! Everywhere I looked was clean but everything is also run…read moredown. Our room was comfortable enough but outdated as were the exterior and hallway finishings. We were attending a conference and every staff member we encounter was friendly and helpful. The camaraderie at the bar was fun and comfortable however the pool area was like something out of a scary movie. I wouldn't mind dining or attending a conference here again but will find other accommodations next time.

This was a Tuesday night in February, so we were able to get a very good price on a double queen suite. Room was clean, comfortable and no issues. We had planned to go skiing Tuesday evening but ended up at the pool with our kids. The main lodge has a decent size pool that starts indoors and continues outdoors. There is an indoor hot tub and an outdoor hot tub. Also there are two Saunas. The kids were enjoying themselves so much we didn't even get to go skiing! On Wednesday we got breakfast at the top of the hill. We have eaten here before and it's always been good. After breakfast we got our gear and headed to the slopes. Treetops isn't a huge hill, but for the value midweek and 3 lifts, it's was a great time. We got started right at 10am and skied until about 4pm before heading home. There was almost no traffic and it was non stop skiing. The kids loved it as well and really enjoyed the beginners terrain park they built.

The pool area was fairly clean with just a little bit of salt on the floor from people's shoes/boots. I had on flip flops, so it was ok. I enjoyed the hot tub, though it's highly chlorinated, and my favorite part was the steam room. That was very nice. They provide robes, flip flops and towels. We got scalp massages and Dazzle Dry manicures and both services were great. I especially enjoyed Emily who did my nails; she was skilled and quite pleasant to talk to. The wax dip is amazing and this Dazzle Dry polish is already lasting so much longer than regular polish. Love it. They also had really cute clothing in the lounge area - I was quite tempted by a couple of things. I would for sure return. It was such a lovely day after skiing.
