This place has been around for a long time, even surviving COVID and I finally got around to trying it out. It was quiet for a Sunday afternoon, it looks like most people tend to opt for takeout. As for service, people tend to give Chinese restaurants a bad rep, but if you go in solely for the food, you'll usually be happy with what you get. Imperial spareribs: sweet and a bit tough to chew on, but I liked them. Nothing too special but if you ordered these as a sweet Chinese pork entree, they're a step above sweet & sour pork. Honey Walnut Prawns: they pack the walnuts and the sauce separately when you order takeout so it isn't soggy when you're back home! Yeah, it's nothing spectacular, and it's the classic flavor you expect from this very popular dish Combination Fried Rjce: I feel like you really get your money's worth with this dish, as they pack the takeout container full of rice and meats in this dish. I have a big appetite and I think this could feed two quite hungry people. I'd recommend this place as a decently valued restaurant to try. I've never been into the place but the food that is DoorDash to me is absolutely delicious. The dry fry ribs are the best I've had in a very long time. The food is fresh which means the service is on point and it arrives quickly. The customer service is friendly and the restaurant is local and may accommodate a lot of people. They are definitely quick and efficient serving quality fresh Chinese food that as well seasoned and carries a great taste. My other favorite is the salt and pepper chicken. I love the Crispy Pan Fried noodles. It is one of the best we had. Tried a couple of spots but this is far the best one, we also seem to go back to this one after trying places closer to home. Sadly the area looks deserted and I'm praying that their business in person will boom back up but overall their food is good. Cashier is also nice, when I come to pick up my food she already knows what I order, cuz I already the same thing. The reason why I left one star out, is because of the place looking deserted, it may need some fixing up so people can come and enjoy to eat in person just an FYI. read more

Definitely didn't have any issues with our meal here and actually thought it was really good, but this was the first time I've ever eaten here so I'm not able to compare it to however the restaurant was in the past like many of the reviewers. We got a lot of food for four people, including the won ton soup, kung pao beef, chow fun, won tons in a spicy chili sauce, chow mein, and a couple other stir fried dishes and not a single dish was bad. Everything was really tasty and made fresh, and the portions were pretty generous. We're all big eaters and we actually still had a little food leftover that we took home. The wait staff were all nice, but my biggest complaint was that it was freezing inside the restaurant. We came in the middle of December on a particularly cold night, and I was pretty surprised by how cold the restaurant was. It was actually mildly annoying; I get that it's not cheap to warm our houses and businesses right now, but it's also not cool to have guests sitting in a freezer and especially because it makes the dishes get colder faster. That was my biggest complaint and the main reason for knocking off a star. Otherwise, I had no issues here and would be happy to have another meal here. Good food, fast service. I visited location for lunch and was glad I did. I was greated by a very friendly host who sat me at a table by the entrance. I was served a soup before my meal which had great taste. I ordered their Kung Pao lunch special which consisted of chicken, beef and prawns mixed with vegetables, egg roll and a side of fried rice. It was full of flavor and delicious. As always, I ordered a zero coke, but had to settled for regular coke. This is a great place to try out. Plenty of parking and had no wait time. I am addicted to the Yu Shiang chicken, which I have with steamed rice. I could literally eat this dish every day ... that's how good it tastes and feels to me. Yes, feels. Whenever I have a trying day, I just order from Hidden Dragon and lose myself in the freshly cooked magic of tender Yu Shiang chicken with water chestnuts, mushrooms, bell pepper, and a medley of other goodness. This was the closest restaurant on my way after my dd had surgery and wanted sizzling rice soup. I was hesitant as this is not really where I go for Chinese food. I ordered two medium soups( sizzling rice and won ton soup) and one sweet and sour chicken which my son likes. So three items that cost me 38. plus and 5.00 takeout tip so 43.00. That sounded like an awful lot for one entree and soups so I asked for a menu to check later. The won ton soup had only a few won tons and mainly Napa cabbage, few carrots and 2 snap peas. They said they charged me wor won ton price since I asked for beef which was a handful thrown in there and boiled. So I asked well if you charged the wor won ton price which is fine (12.95- and mine was medium that was a large charge and she confirmed I had a medium) then how about all the other things it included bbq pork, shrimp, etc- none of that was in there?! She nervously laughed that off and never addressed that. The other soup had a good amount of sizzling rice and basically was the same soup as my won ton ( minus the won tons) with only lots of Napa cabbage, chicken, 3 mushroom slices and 2 baby corn pieces-nothing else. I gave some carrots and one snow pea from my soup. Paying that much for soup and really just Napa cabbage for the majority of the soup. On the menu, it was 8.95 for a medium but obviously charged me much more. Both soups were meh- just ok. Sweet and sour chicken was listed as 9.95 and this was ok as well. At least it stayed crunchy. Somewhere they overcharged me and that I did not appreciate! So just a heads up prices they charge don't seem right and they cannot account for it ( even with the menu they gave me today) and laugh it off, not offering to correct it. She just said she was helping out and didn't know the menu prices so why and how is she charging- off the top of her head?! Oookkk... maybe look at the menu you gave me and charge accordingly? I don't mind if that is the actual price ( albeit expensive for that quality of food), but I don't like it if I feel someone has cheated me or randomly charged me and made up prices as they go thinking I wouldn't notice ( and I do notice when it comes to my money- I normally track every dime on a spending log and keep a budget- yes, I am a financial nerd!). And my frugal self has to stop going to overpriced mediocre restaurants these days lol- lesson to myself! read more

I made a very spontaneous visit to Hidden Dragon in the evening with my mom and was greeted with kindness by the folks up front. When we got inside it just reminds you of a really awesome traditionally set up Chinese restaurant. Very clean. From that point I knew we were about to have some good food. We got the hot and sour soup, tempura shrimp, sezhuan chicken, and kung pao chicken. Everything was a good temperature (for my mom and I, hot is great. We've been coming here for over 10 years. The ambiance has also been quiet and subdued, the service good. The wor won ton soup is a constant thing of beauty. I tease my Dad in Texas because he can't find anything like it in Texas. The honey walnut prawns have always been great. I don't know why Hidden Dragon shows being open. They are not open, and I have not found them to be open at all in the last 3 months. Right now, for instance, I'm sitting in front of their front door. Yelp and the website shows them being open. It is 4;50 in the afternoon (claims open early, then again between 4 and 9 pm). I went to this restaurant in the late 90's and it still looks exactly the same 29 years later. stains in the ceiling. No ambiance. No smiles. I did not love the food . . I ordered beef with vegetables. I was sorry immediately. The vegetables were overcooked and there were only 5 very thin 1 inch pieces of meat in the dish for 13 dollars. I mentioned it to the hostess and she brought me another dish and the amount of beef ws miniscule. Cross that one off my list. read more

This is my absolute favorite spot and today I was highly disappointed with the quality of the chicken I ordered. It was crunchy as fuck. This has been our favorite spot for over 10 years. The quality has slipped but not to the level of our takeout yesterday. We ordered combination egg foo young, moo sho pork and sweet and sour pork. The chicken and pork had a very bad taste. I think the meat had been sitting around for a long time. The pork pieces had a lot of grizzle and were very tough. The sauces were watery and flavorless. Moo sho pork had no flavor at all. The food left us with upset tummys. I'm sure the food ingredients were old. Seems there is a new cook and they are trying to save some $$. So disappointed. We've been going to Hidden Dragon for years. We have several favorites. They do several dishes very well and actually offer great portions especially with their chow mein and fried rice. The chow mein is sometimes a little too oily. We order pan fried noodles Hong Kong style, green beans with beef and salt and pepper spare ribs on a regular basis and they have been consistently good. We have always received great service. With limited choices in Antioch for Chinese food with Wong's or China City, I would recommend trying Hidden Dragon. read more
