Service 5/5 - fast service and customer service was waaaay better than most other restaurants. Ambiance: 4/5 - quaint throw back restaurant vibes. very chill; not quiet but good environment Food: 4/5 - considering I haven't tried more food here I'm giving a 4/5 bc all the food we ordered was Hot on the Table and very, very tasty. the Garlic Chicken Wings came to the table hot, Very crispy, and very tender and moist and tasty delicious. Make sure when you order to let it sit for a few seconds to cool down. Mongolian Beef was very good! my gripe was too many bell pepper slices but overall I will be ordering again. Spice level is about 5/10; but if you're sensitive to spice maybe ask if you can get it less spicy. The Shu Mai was very good. not too salty but seasoned perfectly. Huge 4.5/5 will be back bc I want to try some other menu items OH! The Hot and Sour Soup -- OMG spice level is perfect! And it has just enough sour that you're not being punched in the face with it! 11/10 read more

Rice Bowl - Sweet & Sour Chicken Combination Plate with Pork Fried Rice - Chinese Near Me - Antioch, California

The restaurant was empty, came around 720pm or so. It was kinda humid inside. Our waitress was cool. The bathroom was nice and clean. I noticed they have a lot of take out and door dash orders because their phones were off the hook so our waitress was pretty busy. I ordered teriyaki shrimp combo. It was okay, but not authentic Chinese food. To me, it was mediocre, but my man and his daughter really love the food. They enjoyed it. I do have to say that the portions were good for the price. read more

I don't like leaving negative reviews, but yikes. Tried this place for the first time and it was a disappointment. I ordered the orange chicken rice bowl meal to go that came with a side of rice and 2 egg rolls. The chicken wasn't crispy or flavorful, had an odd chewy/gooey consistency and the rice was just ok. Same goes for the egg rolls...bland. However, I did order a Thai tea with boba and that was tasty. There's a lot of different flavors of boba teas, so I'll possibly try more of those, but the food? I'll pass. read more

Excellent food and service. Food is superb Better than most other places I have been to. Great flavor and texture. I put the quality of the food right up there with San Francisco chinatown. Everything is always fresh and not overcooked. Service is always polite friendly and professional. I have witnessed them handling difficult customers with grace and professionalism. We love this restaurant. read more

The Antioch Rice Bowl is located in Deer Valley Square, next to a Walgreens. The area is busy, with plenty parking The inside of the restaurant is clean, tranquil and spacious. We arrived around 4PM on a Sunday: it was busy with takeout orders. We were seated by the host, who also was running the restaurant by herself. She did an asking job I ordered the combination chow mein, which under delivered. Some of the pasta was stiff, and very greasy. I couldn't finish half of it, so it was a bummer. My mother ordered the $8.95 special, which consisted of chow mein, rice, orange chicken and a drink. This was more solid, with the chow mein cooked better, and with not as much grease Overall, the Rice Bowl didn't deliver, but I'm certain some of their items on the menu must be good read more

Cook super rude. I've been eating here for years, noodles we ordered vegetables are hard as hell, noodles had basically uncooked broccoli. Called to get things resolved then got accused of always calling and the food not being right, when we have never had to do so. Cook simply said if we can't make it right then we just give you a refund, but he was exceptionally rude....ive been going here for years....never again and ill never recommend them to anyone ever again, unless you like rude individuals and semi uncooked vegetables........its always nice until you have something wrong with your food then its a problem....got a full refund atleast DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! read more

I didn't think this was as bad as others have cracked it up to be but I also didn't order via DoorDash or a variety of things either. It's many tiers below Double Dragon, which is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Antioch. But it's also better than, like, Panda Express. I'd come back here if I happened to be in the area (which likely wouldn't be often anyway). But I'd order different stuff. And maybe eat in next time. It's quiet so I'm sure I'd be able to eat in peace without annoying people annoying me. Couple food critiques from last night's takeout order. The fried chicken is HEAVY on crunchy breading. I don't think a lot of the chicken I got had nearly enough actual meat on them. So that sucks and is incredibly disappointing. The house special fried rice was decent but could've used more flavor. I guess I could do that myself by pouring soy sauce on it though. Not everyone wants to consume the high levels of sodium that I want to. The food was mostly inexpensive so I wasn't expecting gourmet anyway. And I'm a fatass so I'll eat nearly anything if it isn't offensively vomit inducing. That's what this was. Not offensively vomit inducing. That's still a passing grade! read more

I found this place on a goof and super glad I have found it. This place is perfect for takeout but not so great for sitting in. I really really like their orange chicken along with their mu shu chicken. It's fantastic and I often get these combos and eat for days on end. What do you get for the money you pay is very very fair and a great value. Highly recommend going to this place. A+++++++++++++ read more

The orange chicken sauce tasted pretty good, but the chicken itself was dry / hard as if it was old. The BBQ pork fried rice had tiny amounts of pork and lacked flavor. Sizzling seafood soup was also bland and tasted like lightly salted water. read more

Awh man, aw man. I try not to leave negative reviews but my experience was awful. I wasn't going to review because I had only ordered 1 thing, but it was pretty bad, I had to let the people know. I had only ordered Kung Pao Chicken to eat with my steamed rice that I had at home. The Kung Pao Chicken had celery, zucchini, peanuts, mushrooms, and of course, chicken, and the sauce. First off, the sauce was super oily, in which looked like they cooked it in with hot oil, which doesn't seem like a bad idea, until they put too much of it in. The celery and zucchini were EVERYWHERE. Barely any chicken, maybe about half a cup of chicken. The mushrooms were okay, but possibly canned mushrooms. The chicken too was pretty bad. The chicken was cut in small, skinny pieces. I'm not too sure what was wrong with the chicken, but when I bit into every single piece, it just mushes up in my mouth, like it wasn't real meat, almost like a vegan alternative (I used to be vegan). On top of all that, there were a few bites that were BITTER! What was it? I have no clue, but I know that Kung Pao chicken is not supposed to be bitter (used to work at a Chinese restaurant). Overall, the flavor was lacking, just spiciness. The sauce was oily, and you could tell because the orange color oil separated from the brown sauce. The dish was mainly vegetables (cheap veggies at that), and the chicken was bad. Go elsewhere; hope this place does better, but I won't be ordering from here again. read more

Seriously call that what you serve salted fish chicken fried rice. It's a joke!.... Last time we get fake Chinese food.

Ok I'm writing this review, I am conflicted on how many stars, because customer service was on point and the restaurant is clean, some of the food was good and some was not so good. The customer service is a 5 , Jamar helped us and he was very nice, patient and whatever he wasn't sure he would asked. The smoothie was a 5! It was freshly made and it had a nice flavor! However if you want to get boba they do not have almond milk only regular milk. The Thai tea was ok , but I feel like it was old , usually you mixed it your self it was already orange, if you usually get Thai tea you'll know what I'm talking about. The food was cheap flavor was average Chinese food, except the chicken teriyaki it tasted like perfume. The restaurant is spacious and they keep it clean, from what I could see, I orders to go. read more

I like their food and price is reasonable. Good customer service when you order on the phone.

This was the most disappointing and disgusting restaurant I've ordered from, not only was the food bad, there were literally bugs in our food and they refused to refund me even when I brought it back in and showed them the bugs. People have found bandaids and rocks in their food too. There is mold and roaches inside. Only eat here if you hate yourself and want to die. read more

I have been impressed by this Antioch mini mall spot. Pot stickers made by hand. Egg rolls too. Many options and lots of value. Walnut shrimp was off the hook tasty. The hot & sour soup is the soup you want when you've got a head cold-spicy, aromatic and filled with crunchy bits and tofu strips. Minor complaint about the blender they use to make boba tea. It's obnoxiously loud and belies the nice ambiance of the room. Will be back!! read more

This food was nasty. The Sweet and Sour Chicken looked dead and abnormal, tasted old, I mean, fridge 3 days old.The texture looked like some type of grey discount fish, and the skin peeled with each fork probe. The sauce was bitter, salty and very runny. I was disappointed when I opened the container, the usual medley of pineapple and bell peppers did not exist. The 1 or 2 pineapple and pepper pieces I did find, gave no relief to this dish, as they were mushy and flavorless. Mongolian Beef I don't know who they were trying to fool with this dish, 99.5% of this was cooked bell pepper, onion and jalapenos, all hacked up into different cuts with no attempt at being uniform or sauteed. The meat...uggh. I've never seen meat expanded into a sponge, rubber soggy like substance. Seems as a last ditch effort they decided to throw some crushed red peppers on top and call it day. The usual starch, broth flavored slur beneath the dish was instead met with 4-5 tablespoons of brownish oil. read more

Only thing I like from here is there salt and pepper or shrimp everything else was nasty

I came in here on a non busy hours. The place is good. I love the orange chicken. This was recommended to me and it did not disappoint. It tastes really good and you can see the chicken inside soft and tender. I didn't wait long for my food as well. I would definitely come back here. The price was definitely affordable considering all the prices are going up, i paid 10.15 dollars. And on top of that, i didn't even finish the food since the serving is huge. The place gives you a chinese vibes. read more

I was actually hoping that this place would be one of those fast food Chinese deli style places, based on the pictures of combos, but it's not. I arrived close to the time that I was supposed to pick up the food, was told it would be ready in 7 mins...30 mins later, food was finally ready. Overall, the flavors of the chowmein was decent, green beans w/black beans was good, salt & pepper pork chop would have been great if it wasn't mostly bone. I don't know that I would try them again just from the initial experience but it might be better if you ate there instead. read more

I have been ordering food here for many years. Sad to say today will be my last time ordering. It's ridiculous the amount of money I spend on food here and now I have a problem that when you order your food you should be able to customize your order!! Ridiculous how much of a hard time the restaurant gives me when I request to add extra soy sauce or gravy to my dried beef broccoli. On top of that you get 1 pack of hot sauce for an order totaling 70 dollars ridiculous, then they argue with you that they can only give 1 hot sauce! I will gladly take my money elsewhere. read more

I ordered 2 party trays of beef and broccoli which they mentioned could feed about 10 people per tray, however, for the amount of other food I had provided, these trays ended up feeding way more people! The quality and taste was great and I will be returning to try their other dishes. Ordering and pick up was very easy and the price for the tray wasn't bad compared to other places I've looked at. One party tray was I believe $42? I can't quite remember, but it was good deal for the amount of people I fed which was 40+! I'll update this review once I try their other dishes. read more

So yummy! Big portions too The staff is very nice and the meals are at great value. The orange chicken is so tasty and the right amount of crunch and sweet. I love their Thai ice tea too it is delicious. My boyfriend and I usually do Togo but the last two times we ate inside and the ambience is nice and relaxing. We also came in 30 min before they closed and they weren't rude like other restaurants. They accommodate everyone. Definitely try to do an order from take out or if you want a nice warm meal sit inside. read more

Food is decent but the service sucks. My husband placed an order online when I came in the young lady just said you need to order? Then said what's the phone number I attempted to show her the receipt from the online order she cut me off and said I JUST need the phone number. I asked for shrimp lo mein she again cuts me off and says we have shrimp chow mein. I explained I had ordered it before she said no we have chow mein and really it wasn't what was said but how it was said. It was like I was bothering her. There was a similar incident months ago that kept me from coming here. I got my nails done next door and thought I would give them another chance but no. Their customer service still is lacking. read more

Been coming here since they opened. Helps that I only live a couple blocks away. In my neighborhood we have many restaurants to choose from, especially through the convenience of Doordash & the like. That said I find myself here - just about once per week for pu . Such an awesome friendly vibe from the Staff of family. From the phones to cashier's, and the owners , whom will actually come out n have a friendly chit chat with. Not to mention The Food. I usually get stuck with the things I have enjoyed in the past....too good to try something new. Lol . My go to's, Garlic boneless chkn, pork egg foo young, loaded with BBQ pork on top.... Can't forget their Wor Wonton Soup. Generous portions of all meats....the broth is exceptionally delicious and warms the soul - the cold evenings here can be enticing warmed by this simple yet hearty soup. Got my folks hooked on the soup as well.... Hopefully here for years to come ! I know this place is dined n loved by many.... many times for pu.. people in lobby and phones never stop ringing... read more

The food was weird. The egg rolls were kind of gelatinous not in a good way. The hot sour soup was spicy without having any sour. The chow me in we ordered tasted like soy sauce and ketchup, very bad combination. Oh, and I asked for extra hot mustard since we ordered 10 egg rolls. I also asked for some Soy sauce. They just would not give any soy, and tried to get me to pay a dollar for each extra mustard, cash only they insisted. I left without getting any extra hot mustard as who carries cash? Horrible all around, would not recommend to anyone. read more
