The piercer was so bad. Went in for a septum. He pierced me twice, said the first time it didn't go through and didn't tell me he was going to pierce it lower. It hurt Soooo bad and I'm still bleeding from it. I've had my septum pierced before and it didn't hurt at all or bleed. Got in the car only to realize it was way too low and crooked. Save your money. Get pierced somewhere else. read more

The artists are very welcoming and they're all super friendly, you will love it here there's no one in this shop who won't greet you, even the customers!! This friendly environment brings me to this review because it was my first ever tattoo I did and Alex, i recommend for anyone who is getting a first or is in need of tips as well as consultation, he's the man to go to! He made it such as breeze to get right into my tattoo starting off with a few reference photos, of course most got rejected BECAUSE it being my first time and I'm 4'11 & 84lbs I'm super petite. Alex was kind enough to simply bring it all down to a simple flower to see how I would handle it. Let me tell you he was right, I couldn't have asked for a better first time tattoo experience he made it a dream come true! By far the best tattoo shop I've been to, I've gotten a whole arm sleeve of Japanese traditional, a few American traditional pieces and am now getting a leg sleeve done. Love the vibes at this shop, all the artists are friendly and good people. Bon has done all my work and always amazes me whenever he tattoos me and always has the best prices. I can't recommend this place anymore. Hidden City has been the best Gem I have found in Cali. I love this tattoo shop. I met Victor a few years ago and we haven't stopped tattooing since. His work is great, his pricing is more than fair, and he will leave you looking the way you need to look. Victor is amazing and the entire staff that works with Victor too. I have gone to Juan for the past 7 years. I have never ever been disappointed with his work. It is simply outstanding. He takes the time to make sure you are happy with it. It's amazing how you can describe what you envision and somehow he brings that image to life!! The owner Juan was completely rude, unprofessional and could not deliver the tattoo I had presented to him. It took home a week in a half to draw the wrong tattoo, then placed blame on his apprentice stating he "dropped the ball" when really it was Juan who did not take my tattoo wants seriously. He failed to communicate and once 1.5 weeks passed, he then told me my design couldn't be done. I questioned this due to me taking him an example of tattoo, already done as a an example. He stated " that's a lot of busy work for a tattoo." Which really only meant he doesn't want to do it. He then decided to insult me. He is very unprofessional and sensitive and does not handle criticism very well.. attached are screenshots of his unprofessionalism displayed to a customer. read more

Stopped in by accident. I was shopping around for a place with a reasonable price for the simple tattoo I wanted. I was on my way to another place when I drove into the parking lot and saw hidden city. I decided to get a quote. I walked in and it was a bit intimidating at first. This is my first tattoo. Speedy was very sweet and quoted me a very fair price. So, I decided to go for it. The tattoo turned out perfect! I was ok all the way through but got woozy at the end. I did not feel well at all but speedy was very nice and made me feel better. Anyway, GREAT experience. I will def use him again if I get another tattoo. I will also send my friends there. FYI- went to the following places before I found Hidden City: Frontline tattoo, Tracy's in oside. BOTH were well overpriced. Wanted to charge me double and triple what I paid. RIP off! read more

I have so many great things to say about this shop, so I will try and break it down in a few short categories that are concise and to the point. 1) I am a retired Marine and repeat costumer, I have a few family members/ friends who are more than impressed with the quality of work and intent on making Hidden City Tattoo their new shop. 2) The shop is managed very well, it exceptionally organized, hygienic and well kept. The artist and staff are very orderly and operate to the highest sanitary standards. 3) Juan is a man with great character who conducts himself with grace and humbleness, he is extremely skillful with a delicate touch and always produces clean solid lines, along with exemplary color saturation/ shading. 4) Victor is a talented young man who I have no doubt will rise to be known as one of the greats. He has a keen, skillful eye, steady hand and always produces incomparable, yet transcendent work that is first-rate. I will continue to use Hidden City Tattoo as my home for future pieces. The shop never disappoints, produces quality results, the staff are military/ veteran friendly. The Pricing is more than trustworthy and fair; beyond competitive for the quality of work you get. HORRIBLE experiences at this shop. Went in with my boyfriend to get a tattoo and an industrial piercing. Piercer did a HORRENDOUS job aligning the two piercings on my ear and my boyfriends tattoo ended up fading after only ONE month. When trying to get what we originally had done touched up and fixed, the owner of the shop refused service for the tattoo and piercing. He told us that the piercer isn't apart of their department and we should come back to talk to him about a refund. As for the tattoo, many of the shops we both have been to will do free touch ups on the tattoos that were done within that store. We expected shop owner Juan Torres to keep the standards of touch ups that any other shop holds but NOPE! He was trying to charge us almost just as much as we had originally paid. We both ended up going to a much friendlier/professional shop to get what we had done at hidden city fixed and they did it for FREE. Do NOT go to this shop if you want a good experience, it's honestly not worth it. read more

Made my reservations with Juan in advance, he worked around my schedule which was great! I work around the clock and this was very convenient. Juan and all the Artist at the location are very; nice, professional, knowledgeable, and funny! I had an idea of what I wanted Juan ran with it and did an amazing job working in my new tattoo into the rest of my arm! I was frequently asked if I was ok and comfortable! Don't let the cholo look fool you, Juan is very down to earth and a great artist! If you ask me, if a artist doesn't have old school cholo tattoos on him, I don't want that person tatting me at all! I am very impressed with the results and will be returning again for more work ASAP! Worth every penny! The place was squeaky clean, great music, overall great environment! read more

Stopped by here and really like the atmosphere here, popular place but enough artists to service you or get a quote. I walked in and talked to Frosty, big guy with glasses and I really liked how understanding and creative he was working with my idea for a tattoo. Sketched it out, 3 hours later it came out really good! Just what I had in mind just 10x better. Really would recommend everybody to check it out if they're itching for a new tattoo, definitely check out all artists they're talented. read more

I had an amazing experience getting my tattoo done here by D! The artist was incredibly kind, professional, and maintained a super clean workspace, which instantly put me at ease.
