JD is the nicest, most charming and pleasant gentleman. Bringing him our clothes is always a…read morepleasure. He takes his time to review each garment with me, asks when I would like it ready, gives me an honest estimate on time, and price when tailoring is required. I brought him a men's Burberry coat that I got secondhand for $20.00, and that fit like a tent, and he was able to tailor it to my slim, 5'6" frame. He's turned my ugly vintage, bell bottom corduroys into slim-fitting skinny slacks. He's repaired suits, de-pilled cashmere sweaters and done our dry cleaning. I don't go anywhere else to have these things done. This is the man.

I have finally mustered up the courage to warn others about my experience. Tran ruined my favorite…read morepair of jeans that cost me over $300. My biggest regret is not sending them to get professionally altered, I should've known better but i didnt know just how badly a simple request could go. I didn't want to wait the shipping time so I chose to support local and I hate to write a bad review of a mom n pop shop like this so I even went back to tell them I was unhappy with their work and all they said was "sorry. Go elsewhere then" with an angry cold glare and blamed me for requesting the original hem. Little did they know I already went to another alteration specialist and they told me the bottom was sewn too tight, that's why it looks so ugly and crumpled. Not to mention when I was still sitting there clearly upset, Mr. Tran kept asking me about my race. I'm not here to make small talk buddy I'm here to see if these people know how to make it right and the answer is no. I believe this was not a mistake, just a lack of skill. I wish someone had warned me out of the kindness of their heart not to trust Tran with expensive clothing that I can't afford to replace if ruined. I have attached pictures of the exact same pair of jeans below with the same alteration requested shortened and you can see the difference between Tran's work and a professional's. And this is after I even ironed them to try to make it better but clearly the damage is done. When I wear it, it looks permanently crumpled. The bottom of the wide legged jean was the most unique and beautiful part of the pant and now it is hideous and butchered. I am completely and utterly heartbroken. I had to save up to buy these jeans and now they are permanently ruined. Heed the 1 star reviews. You were warned.
