My biggest regret is not sending them to get professionally altered, I should've known better but i didnt know just how badly a simple request could go. I didn't want to wait the shipping time so I chose to support local and I hate to write a bad review of a mom n pop shop like this so I even went back to tell them I was unhappy with their work and all they said was "sorry. Go elsewhere then" with an angry cold glare and blamed me for requesting the original hem. Little did they know I already went to another alteration specialist and they told me the bottom was sewn too tight, that's why it looks so ugly and crumpled. Not to mention when I was still sitting there clearly upset, Mr. Tran kept asking me about my race. I'm not here to make small talk buddy I'm here to see if these people know how to make it right and the answer is no. I believe this was not a mistake, just a lack of skill. I wish someone had warned me out of the kindness of their heart not to trust Tran with expensive clothing that I can't afford to replace if ruined. I have attached pictures of the exact same pair of jeans below with the same alteration requested shortened and you can see the difference between Tran's work and a professional's. And this is after I even ironed them to try to make it better but clearly the damage is done. When I wear it, it looks permanently crumpled. The bottom of the wide legged jean was the most unique and beautiful part of the pant and now it is hideous and butchered. I am completely and utterly heartbroken. I had to save up to buy these jeans and now they are permanently ruined. Heed the 1 star reviews. You were warned.

I used to try on hundreds of items before finding something that kind of fits, but now I find things right away because I know Tran can make it fit me perfectly. She can do it all. Hong was remarkably kind, with a terrific feel for her craft along with elite customer service. She asked great questions, and was a superb listener. Both visits provided excellent solutions. Vicki did an absolutely outstanding job altering my wedding dress to wear again for my 25th…read moreanniversary party. No one could even tell it had been altered. In addition, after the dry cleaner ruined some of the dress fabric the day before the party, Vicki worked all afternoon to repair the dress. It was just beautiful, and I felt like a fairy princess.

I walked in and walked out in less then 5 minutes because both my own SIL and Vicki were barking orders at my child after I had already asked her to stay by the door.. which is where she was as asked by me. She asks alot of questions because that's what 7 year olds do. (I am assuming Vicki couldnt handle all the chatter) I then calmly but sternly said to my sister and Vicki "Hey, both of you need to lay off of her, I have it covered." But only a parent can understand this. If it was so fishy I wouldn't have posted on yelp and Facebook to alert other parents of this less then kid friendly place. Mind your business Lara B. I brought a dress in to be altered as it fell off my shoulders. Mary carefully measured each…read moreshoulder and the dress was returned in perfect condition. The next dress has spaghetti straps that were too low for me so she pinned them in place but the dress didn't fit properly when it was altered. The black lace and velvet skirt I brought have an elastic waist that was too loose and you could see through the skirt so I wanted it lined. She pinned the skirt and I could barely get it over my head so I reminded her that there wasn't a button or a zipper in the skirt. It just needed new elastic. By that time, it was busy in the shop and I could tell she wasn't paying attention to me. The finished product was sewn where she pinned it instead of replacing the elastic and it was lined to mid thigh. Since I'm an old lady instead of a teenager, the mid thigh length was not appropriate. I brought in two pair of pajamas, from Victoria's Secret where is she only measured one sleeve and one pant leg. The altered pajamas had one sleeve longer than the other, and the same with the pant legs. She should've measured both legs and both sleeves. I also brought in a pair of pants from Lands' End, which I didn't even bother to try on afterwards as by that time, I was too disgusted by her alterations. Since nobody is going to see the pajamas, I didn't even bother returning them for alteration repairs. But I did take in the black skirt as I couldn't get it over my head. The skirt was a size medium, and the lining she put in was a size petite. I could've worn a size small, but it would've been tight. The skirt was a full skirt, but the lining they put in was a straight slip. The bill was $198.00. I returned only the skirt to be re-altered. Even though the mistakes were totally theirs, she charged me $20 to correct her own mistakes. I told her about the two pair of pajamas with the two different sizes on the legs and arms and the dress with the too high spaghetti straps. I will never go back there and I'm posting this to share my experiences so no one else has to go through this alteration nightmare.
