I made SURE everything was pinned at the length necessary before I left. I was there for quite a while! I went back to get the pants and one pair was WAY too long. I showed them to her and asked why they weren't hemmed to the correct length (they were almost 2" longer than all the other slacks she had done). She INSISTED that I was wrong, telling me that when I was there originally that she told me this length was too long but that I kept telling her I didn't care and I wanted them this way (too long). WHAT??? That made absolutely NO sense, but she dug her heels in and kept refusing to admit the error or offer to fix it. After a few minutes I said to heck with it, paid for all but that pair, and told her to hem them CORRECTLY this time. I showed her the CORRECT length, took pics on my phone for comparison, and I left. My husband went to pick up the pants a couple days later and the woman said there was no charge for the hem - not because she screwed it up to begin with, but because, "the lady was so angry, I feel bad." UGH!! We are NEVER going back there. I'll make the extra drive to Valley West from now on; they do things correctly the first time! UPDATE: She keeps editing her comment back to me and changing her story because she knows she was wrong. The other reviews show what her work really is like and that my experience was NOT an exception to the rule!

They used RED ink on my daughters white wedding dress and acted like they had no clue. We scheduled our first appointment, and he and his team were fantastic. I walked in and walked out in less then 5 minutes because both my own SIL and Vicki were barking orders at my child after I had already asked her to stay by the door.. which is where she was as asked by me. She asks alot of questions because that's what 7 year olds do. (I am assuming Vicki couldnt handle all the chatter) I then calmly but sternly said to my sister and Vicki "Hey, both of you need to lay off of her, I have it covered." My biggest regret is not sending them to get professionally altered, I should've known better but i didnt know just how badly a simple request could go. I didn't want to wait the shipping time so I chose to support local and I hate to write a bad review of a mom n pop shop like this so I even went back to tell them I was unhappy with their work and all they said was "sorry. Go elsewhere then" with an angry cold glare and blamed me for requesting the original hem. Little did they know I already went to another alteration specialist and they told me the bottom was sewn too tight, that's why it looks so ugly and crumpled. Not to mention when I was still sitting there clearly upset, Mr. Tran kept asking me about my race. I'm not here to make small talk buddy I'm here to see if these people know how to make it right and the answer is no. I believe this was not a mistake, just a lack of skill. I wish someone had warned me out of the kindness of their heart not to trust Tran with expensive clothing that I can't afford to replace if ruined. I used to try on hundreds of items before finding something that kind of fits, but now I find things right away because I know Tran can make it fit me perfectly. She can do it all.
