Very friendly when I called, quick local delivery, nice confirmation emails. I left a note, asked for a couple colors, and they freestyled it. The bouquet seemed to match my note, and they were very pretty and tasteful... made her smile. Overall seems like a thoughtful business and provide a great service. read more

Found them through Yelp. They were super helpful, professional and kind. I would highly recommend

My friend in LA ordered flowers for me for my birthday (it may have been through a national chain who fields out work to local companies. The bouquet from Hibiscus arrived on time on Dec 24th and looked pretty, though she said that she ordered all purple, which the bouquet was not. Still, not the end of the world. However, it is now two days later and several of the flowers are dead. Here is what remains alive after two days, by Dec 26. Very disappointed as was my friend who probably paid about $70 for this. read more

They failed to deliver! Terrible service, prices shown have nothing to do with final charges. Ordered flowers on Monday morning, to be delivered to a friend who lives one block from flower shop. 1:00pm Tuesday, learned flowers never delivered!!!! I had made it clear I wanted delivery ASAP. I ordered from their pictures, price listed as 'Sale, $69.99', chose, 'Premium', $72.98. Within seconds I received an invoice for $99.60 without any explanation or breakdown of the additional 30% added on. No apology when I called or explanition. My friend had just come home from the hospital and I wanted to make her feel good. read more

Easy to miss, I'm glad I didn't. They put together a beautiful arrangement for my wife's birthday in 30 minutes. Stopped in, went and grabbed lunch down the block, and it was done before I was finished eating. read more

I ordered flowers from the website to send as thank you gift for some friends. When they received the gift and sent me a picture, I was shocked and embarrassed. It looked completely different from the website, there was a small amount of flowers in the vase and they were mostly all floppy and soggy. Would not order again. read more

Christa went above and beyond to make my friend's birthday. I ordered the "Pamper Package Quarantine Style" and she arranged same day delivery! I was overjoyed by the beautiful arrangement of flowers, vegan fudge, Hibiscus Tea and balloon! I have to say it is just not your average flower arrangement. It was for a friends birthday and each flower was vibrant and saturated with color. Can't wait to order from Hibiscus Flowershop again! read more

I live across the country and I've ordered flowers a few times for various occasions from Hibiscus and every time they've been delivered first thing in the morning and it's always been a gorgeous arrangement. This most recent order was pretty disappointing though. I ordered the flowers more than a week prior for a birthday and paid as always to have them locally hand delivered. By 1pm they still hadn't been delivered so I called Hibiscus, and at first they couldn't find my order which meant to me that had I not called, the order probably wouldn't have gone out. I asked if they had an estimate for when the order might be delivered so I didn't have to have my mom sit at home all day waiting. The woman I spoke to frankly wasn't very friendly and wanted to know why I wanted a time estimate at all. Finally she told me they'd be delivered before 5pm and they were at 4:30pm. I only got a quick glance at the flowers over FaceTime because my mom was rushing out the door for dinner (which again is why I wanted an delivery estimate) but in all honestly the arrangement looked fine, not as spectacular as they've looked previously. I just feel that for nearly $100 of flowers, the overall experience I had this time was subpar. read more

I ordered flowers from this shop after finding it through Yelp. They took my order over the phone and were very easy to deal with and super polite. I ordered a small bouquet of roses for a friend to be delivered to her home a few blocks away. She was beyond delighted by the roses, which looked so beautiful, and the delivery was quick. I dealt with lovely staffer named Bella, and would absolutely order flowers from this shop again. read more

I went here recently to buy flowers for my girlfriend's graduation. I gave them a very rough idea of what my girlfriend likes (hydrangeas and yellow :)) and they just rolled with it and created this beautiful arrangement! The only thing I'd say is call ahead because the location is hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for. Not really a store front, just a white door that was actually locked and no sign. Call though it's worth it! read more

I'm addicted to Hibiscus. Their work is lovely, their service is impeccable, and the flowers last. This morning on Facetime with my daughter, the usual recipient, I spotted her arrangement of blooms in the room behind her, still vibrant after more than a week. This should be everyone's first choice for a Brooklyn florist! Thanks, Christa, you're the best! read more

I really liked my experience with this company, being in this quarantined new normal. This black-owned, women-owned company was very lovely in dealing with my last minute Mother's Day order. I went online and tried to order online with a pickup. When confused, I called the number, and spoke to a very hospitable person who walked me through placing my order. When picking it up I mistakenly went to the wrong address, and them closing in an hour, they were again very nice and understanding. When getting there they came right out, placed the arrangement in my cars, with gloves and mask on. I was still able to feel her cheerful energy! I was a little upset with the size of the arrangement for the money I paid, but hey that's flowers for you. I've run into the picture vs reality issues with other florists in the past so I'll chalk that up to the industry. Overall, because of their lovely nature in this crazy time, I would come hear again. And would certain recommend to others. Would love to visit the studio in the future! read more

Krista goes above and beyond for great service. I've ordered arrangements from Hibiscus several times, and each time she's made sure my order was handled with care and beautifully finished. I have ordered from Hibiscus for my flower needs (i.e... Mother's Day) the last three years. This year I got the wrong bouquet dropped off, but I got in touch with the delivery guy and he was super apologetic and sincere, and they fixed it in about 10-15 minutes, so it was handled perfectly. Every time I order I end up having a message back and forth with Christa, and she's always wonderful to deal with. I really like ordering from these guys. read more

Wow I won't use any other flower shop from now on! I ordered a friend some flowers for a recent promotion. They were there in less than 24 hrs. I had a follow up question before they were delivered since I wasn't sure my friend would actually be home. When I called the woman helped me very quickly and even put a note for the driver to contact the friend to make sure she was home. The driver not only contacted my friend numerous times they even made sure her flowers wouldn't be out in the heat too long. Also the flowers were GORGEOUS and well put together. Christa provided fabulous service during the shelter in place ! I wanted to send my daughter balloons & flowers for her birthday. She is on the East Coast & I'm on the West Coast. So I called a few places but wasn't able to get any business to commit to curbside delivery that is until I called Hibiscus & talked to Christa. She was able to accommodate my balloons & flowers request with curbside delivery. This not only made my daughter's day & but it helped a Mom to feel better about not being there. Nice selection of flowers. The person that my order was delivered to really liked the arrangement and thought that they were beautiful.

I placed an order from the left coast for delivery in Manhattan. While the delivery location is apparently far by NY standards, I wasn't met with any complaints when my order was placed. Fast forward to the day of delivery and the recipient was ecstatic with the final product. The reasonable prices and great customer service were major key! If I need another floral delivery in NY, I'll definitely be bringing my business back here. #BrooklynsFinest read more

about the last review...who goes into a flower shop, to order coffee anyway? So, today is Valentines day, its the 2nd time my husbands ordered from Hibiscus, and I have to say both times the flowers were fresh, and beautifully arranged, with no crappy fillers. (In Chelsea last year my husband bought a $80 arrangement that died the NEXT day) the last time from Hibiscus they lasted 15 days. So I was pleasantly surprised by their work and will definitely keep trying them out. I would like to see more on the website and more photography of their place and a more personal look- if I had seen it, I wouldn't have tried them, my husband doesn't know better and just went for it and they happened to be great-what do I know! Thanks! read more

Every time I order flowers from Hibiscus I'm blown away more and more! I almost forget how good they are. They have so many beautiful options of combinations to choose from, and I always just let them decide on the bouquet because I trust them blindly. For same-day delivery, more-than-reasonable prices, great customer service, and the opportunity to support a local small business that I admire, I go with Hibiscus whenever I am in need of flowers! read more

I planned my own wedding, and ended up trying to coordinate the flowers pretty last minute (because I wasn't really sure of what I wanted). I called Hibiscus Flowershop, and Christa was so gracious and patient with me and explored different options that would work within our tight budget. There was a major snowstorm right before the big day which presented challenges for flower deliveries to the NYC area, but Christa made it happen for us! She transported the flowers to our venues in the snow, and the result was absolutely beautiful. We are so grateful to Hibiscus and to Christa for helping us create stunning bridal beauty on a budget! Sometimes it can be difficult to find personable and professional business people (especially in NYC), but Hibiscus offers a high quality service with kindness. We will definitely be back for more celebrations in the future! read more

When my nephew was born at midnight, I was suddenly scrambling to find a place to send the new family of 3 welcome home flowers. The website made it really easy to place an order. I called the next day just to make sure the order had been received. I found out that I had placed an order that ordinarily wouldn't be delivered on weekends because it wasn't local. However, whoever answered the phone told me they had realized it was for a new baby (I had added an "It's a Boy" balloon) and went ahead and made the order for me anyway and would have it delivered the very same day! It was completely unnecessary for them but they went above and beyond and I can't recommend them enough! The flowers are gorgeous and the service was excellent!!! Christa was great in helping me select an arrangement for a hail mary pass to get back the girl I thought was "the one". 50 white roses and a 10pg letter later I didn't get the girl but I had the most epic arrangement of beautiful long stems put together by someone who can sympathize with a lovesick man. Thanks again Christa! I'll keep you on my florist short list for next time. And for those "real men" out there that know how to treat a lady go to Hibiscus flowers for all of your floral pursuits. *Disclaimer: This review is solely based on the customer service, since I was unable to actually buy a product.* I ordered some flowers from Hibiscus Flower shop to send to my girl. I had bought the flowers using PayPal (my first time using it). The area I wanted the flowers delivered to was too far out of their delivery range. Christa was quick to email me to let me know that the delivery address was outside their range (super fast notification, she got back to me that day, if not the next). No problem, they made no fuss about issuing the refund. The only trouble I had was with getting PayPal to actually deposit the refund to my account. I didn't know what the deal was, so I emailed back and forth with Christa about it, and we were able to get it worked out. She was really awesome! She was super patient and understanding with me about the whole situation, and stayed in constant communication with me to make sure that everything was going as it should. She made the whole experience of dealing with Hibiscus Flowers a thoroughly pleasant one. TL;DR Wasn't able to buy anything, but because of the pleasant attitudes and the speed/high degree of communication of the staff, I will definitely be taking a trip out to this flower shop whenever I'm in Brooklyn. Thanks Christa! read more
