Good brand named stuff at a price point that is probably pretty fair regardless of the area that you're in. Sale items are actually a really good deal. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this location if we found ourselves out and about shopping in this area in the future. Would recommend this location to others as well.

UPDATE: I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER SHOE IN THIS STORE.. sorry Jeff I was rocking with you…read moreunfortunately, I came into Walter's to use store credit from a pair of shoes I returned in January. I was told when I made the return that all I'd need was my ID -- the store keeps the slip on file. When I gave my name and ID, the associate couldn't find my slip. Instead of continuing to look thoroughly, he accused me of already using the credit or that it wasn't in my name, suggesting I was trying to get over on the store. This was said in front of other customers, which left me feeling humiliated, disrespected, and singled out. I later found a picture of my slip and saw the store had made the error -- my name was written incorrectly on their end. Which was funny because I was told it was my fault and that in all the years the store had been operating, they had "never made a mistake." My name starts with an "S" why was there an "M" on the slip, I have no clue. Even after it was clear I was right, there was no apology or effort to make things right. In that moment, I did not feel I was given the same respect or fair treatment that another customer might have received. The entire interaction was unprofessional and extremely disappointing.

Overall, the price you pay for the clothing,…read morehousehold items, etc. is reasonable but the RUDE customer service from a manager by the name of CASEY is the reason I'll spend my money elsewhere. I consider myself a professional but it was hard to keep my composure after being patronized during a disagreement about a refund and then mocked as I was leaving the store! She was shocked when I re-entered the store and asked her "what kind of manager openly mocks a customer to another associate!?" Seriously, who does this??!! In a profession where customer service skills are crucial, you desperately need to rethink your career choice because being nice to customers just isn't for you.

If you aren't familiar they are a department store that has men's, women's, children's clothing - name brand primarily. They also have sections dedicated to household kitchen gadgets, bathroom (towels), bedroom (comforter sets, sheets, pillows), outdoor (kind of limited at this location - but some outdoor rated chairs), electronics (typically a small selection of ear buds/head phones, smart home, and PS4/XBOX games - this location, no different, very little selection), shoes (from sporty to casual to dress - probably one of the best value for the money you can find in one of their stores is the shoe prices) and a few other things. If I was in the area and looking for any of the things listed above, I'd stop by this location again.

In depth review: This is not a typical shoe store - it's very much a customer experience store. Having never been to a specialty running shoe store, I expected to walk in and see rows of shelves with model shoes on top and boxes of those shoes in different sizes below. This is not that place. When I walked in, I was greeted by an employee who asked what I was looking for in a shoe and then invited me to step onto a machine that imaged my foot pressure (no additional cost). He then reviewed the image with me l, talked about specific foot issues I've experienced, explained my personal foot needs based on the image, and had me sit down while he went back and started grabbing shoes that would meet my needs. If anything, he probably had me try on more shoes than I needed. But he was thorough. He talked me through sizes, widths, and supports, pointing out different features of each shoe. Truthfully, he'd found my perfect shoe in the first 3 or so he brought out, but he kept going back looking for more options. The time involved from arriving until buying was still less than 20 minutes, so the attention to detail was great but not wasteful. Running shoes are expensive - not just here but anywhere. I'd expected a bit of mark up for the customer attention time, but that wasn't the case. I got great shoes for the price I saw them for online (yes, I did look at prices as he went back looking for more options). There was no pressure to buy a certain pair, and I didn't sense any attempt to oversell or get me into a more expensive pair. It would have been nice to have seen prices on the shoe boxes, though. We never talked about price points or how much any pair cost until I made my decision and paid. And perhaps that's for the best in terms of finding the best shoe for my feet. Would I go here again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to others? Absolutely.
