I was greeted when I entered the store. I looked around for a bit trying to find shoes for my son…read more I found a pair that he liked but couldn't find his size so we went up 1/2 a size to get the pair he liked and was on sale. Going up to the register to check the lady that had originally greeted us on the way in noticed us coming and walked away to sit down in an aisle. So we waited for the other register to clear and the lady seemed nice. The shoebox was broken and she smiled and apologized and I teased her because it was broken we got a discount and we both laughed. She scanned the box and the price was way higher than the sale price. I asked her about the price and she said she would check it for me. I showed her exactly where the shoes came from and she said there was a slight difference in the shoes and they were indeed much more expensive and asked if we really wanted the other pair that was a slight color difference and I said yes, we thought the ones we had were them and asked if we needed the size 10 and I said actually we needed a 91/2 and she looked above the display and found what we were looking for originally. You don't see this kind of customer service hardly anymore. I sincerely thanked her and we left. I wish I had got her name.

When you know there's only 30 min before closing you should offer help to your customers instead of chit chatting at the register about some accident etc. there was one gentleman that offered assistance after I'd been in there about 20 min. I go to try on a pie of shoes and it is 357pm and the older lady at the register snapped at me and told me they were closed and didn't offer any assistance. She did say they were closed so they could try to get home to families because of Christmas Eve. If you were that concerned with getting people home for the holidays why not close for the day or close at noon. By 4pm that's kinda petty. Not to mention not thinking very highly of the workers you do have. Please post early closing on your website for future reference. Otherwise I think it would have been a decent place to find a limited amount of good quality name brand shoes. You'll be out of luck if you wear anything much over a 7-8.5 as that's the majority of what they have. Others are very limited. (I'm a 10)

When it didn't come, I figured it was a simple mistake because "We promise it will be there by Thursday at 1PM, here's an email with tracking info to prove it!" sounds almost identical to "Yeah, we're really not trying to get this to your house by the time your party starts and we are terrible and we hate you." So I figured I might have just heard them wrong. But, nope, the tracking number backed what I thought I heard. So Saturday morning when it still had not arrived, my wife called them. Did they correct the problem? No. What we heard over the phone was an AS+O employee insinuating that it was somehow our fault it had not been delivered-OUR fault for believing the associate who had apparently just straight up lied to us about the delivery time-, no apology, and news that it would be delivered the following Tuesday (today) between 1-6PM, well after the party and birthday for which we had selected and purchased our gift. So, right now it is 6:30 on Tuesday- the very Tuesday during which it was supposed to have been delivered between 1-6PM. I hope AS+O Cartersville owns a DeLorean, because our item is still not here. UPDATE: The ping pong table arrived an hour after this post. The box was ripped wide open from one side to the other. Clearly the integrity of our package had been compromised. We sent it back. Called AS+O, they again tried to explain how their shipping works to me in a condescending manner instead of making things right. We will never (NEVER!) shop here again. Not even if there's a plague and the only cure is a combination of sporting goods and terrible service. Plague me.
