I consider myself a professional but it was hard to keep my composure after being patronized during a disagreement about a refund and then mocked as I was leaving the store! She was shocked when I re-entered the store and asked her "what kind of manager openly mocks a customer to another associate!?" Seriously, who does this??!! In a profession where customer service skills are crucial, you desperately need to rethink your career choice because being nice to customers just isn't for you.

They also have sections dedicated to household kitchen gadgets, bathroom (towels), bedroom (comforter sets, sheets, pillows), outdoor (kind of limited at this location - but some outdoor rated chairs), electronics (typically a small selection of ear buds/head phones, smart home, and PS4/XBOX games - this location, no different, very little selection), shoes (from sporty to casual to dress - probably one of the best value for the money you can find in one of their stores is the shoe prices) and a few other things. This store is laid out pretty similar to any of the other ones I've been in. Staff (one person working at the front check out) greeted us when we came in and wished us a good night when we left. Store was clean and prices are prominently displayed on digital readouts located by the items (especially in kitchen gadgets area). All in all this location is pretty good, clean and well stocked. If I was in the area and looking for any of the things listed above, I'd stop by this location again.

Some of the shoes needed new heels put on; others just needed the little heel protectors applied. They saved me so much money by being able to keep my favorite shoes instead of throwing them away. I have been coming to Gem shoe repair for decades. I feel really proud to support a wonderful family-owned, local small business. Clearly the word has gotten out about their good craftsmanship, and now everybody wants to go there. I had to wait a few weeks on my order, but they were totally upfront about that. Sam's Club is right next door, and across the street you can find a Publix and Panera Bread. I'm giving four stars because this is as good as it gets, considering the area. Your only other choice for shopping in the Oxford/Anniston area is the Quintard Mall. While they offer different stores, the Quintard Mall is a lot older and run down, which makes shopping at the Exchange the better option if you have to choose. There are several stores here, including Target, Best Buy, TJMaxx, Kohl's, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Petsmart, Rackroom Shoes, Kirkland's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Hobby Lobby, Lane Bryant, Ross, Dressbarn, Merle Norman, and a few more. If you're hungry, you can go to Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, Golden Corral, Mexico Lindo, or Arby's. There's also a 49 degrees (frozen yogurt) and a Dunkin' Donuts.
