Really liked the Lo-Pitch Hazy IPA from Hi-Wire Brewing!
    Alden C.

Tried out another brewery location for Hi-Wire Brewing, located in Asheville. On this particular beer outing Steve and I had the Lo-Pitch Hazy IPA and we liked this beer pretty well! More refreshing than a lot of IPA'S that we come across. Flavor highlights is juicy, hoppy, citrus and fruity. It is also a very light bodied IPA that is something Steve and I can always appreciate as we often gravitate towards lighter beer fare.

Love this place and location. Huge tasting room with their brewery tanks throughout which you can go and tour on your own. Great beers and to be honest the best merchandise available. I bought two shirts and a sweatshirt. This is a very family oriented brewery, I saw many kids and families here. They have beer of all different styles so there's something for everyone. Definitely highly recommend Hi-wire.

Never been a huge fan of hi-wires beers but I do love their spaces. All the breweries including this one feel spacious and inclusive. Upon entering, parking kinda stressed me out. Lots of signage about being towed if you're in other lots. Luckily I found a spot owned by hiwire. Honestly not sure what I would have done if there wasn't one. We came on a Monday so it was not too busy. Cute and warm igloo plastic pods out front. Interesting. We sat in the main area inside and it was toasty. No like toooo warm. Be sure to jot sit under a heater. Haha luckily we were able to turn it off. The bar wasn't too busy. I appreciate that they have na options (two beers and some lemonade and such). Might be helpful to add on some ciders and/or wine like other places have done. Friendly staff and decent prices. Again- love the space. Nice tables and an easy flow. Dog friendly. The outdoor area in the back (beer garden) was under construction but I have heard only awesome things. Can't wait to come back in summer/spring.

So we were looking for a brewery that was close by the Biltmore and happened to find this place on yelp. It is a huge warehouse with event space outdoor dining and indoor dining. Although the dining does not come from the actual brewery it's from the food truck that has a permanent spot outside serving primarily hotdogs hamburgers and cheese fries. The bruise in general are tasty. All indoor dining tables are appropriately socially distance for COVID-19. Guess I required to wear masks until seated and employees are required to wear masks at all times. They have multiple different brews on tap! We started with The high wire Lager and the Munich rye longer. Both were light and refreshing. For the second round we went for things that were a little bit darker including the strongman and the black Pilsner. The strongman was very heavy on the coffee flavor and the black pils was a bit strong for me. We were at the "Big Top" location near the Biltmore Estate. They have multiple locations in Asheville area.

Five stars for some good brews and some great hospitality. Everyone here was super friendly and helpful. The beertender allowed me to try different brews while I honed into what I wanted to drink. I had a sour with lactose and it had a great finish (tropical punch). Their lager was very good too. Overall the hospitality would make me come back for sure.

Interior is huge with plenty of seating inside and out

Great spot with amazing beers to choose from. Loved everything about this brewery. The open space inside the brewery, plenty of games and great beer selection. Also, a food truck in site.

    Great atmosphere.

Ask the Community - Hi-Wire Brewing

Is there food at the one on south slope?

It's a taproom only. The Big Top in Biltmore has a Foothills Meats food truck.

Can dogs go inside (when it's freezing outside) or only outside?

We allow dogs inside the taproom all the time (except during large events where it's specifically stated).

Are there TVs to watch football?

Yup! There's a 150" projection TV for football (and other) games. We're also installing a 70" TV in the near future. Cheers!

    Do they serve wine also?

    Yup! We sure do!

Right away the place had a cool vibe, not just a regular brewery where you go in and drink a beer. It had a lot of interesting decor and you could tell they really lean into their own weird, artsy style. The decor was colorful and fun, with murals and random quirky details all around. It kind of had this dark but playful look to it, which somehow worked really good. The beer garden area also gave it a laid back feel, and the whole place had way more character then a normal taproom. The beer menu was creative too. There were plenty of beer choices and I got the Sinister Gaze of the Unapologetic Imperial Stout. With a cool name like that it fit my mood from the heat. With cocoa nibs, sea salt, vanilla bean, and that rich stout flavor, it sounded bold and kind of dramatic, which fits the place perfect.

The outdoor seating area is spacious and fun with old cars turned into self imposed selfie stations (guilty as charged) and a haven for sticker placements. Bartenders were great once served. Not necessarily unfriendly just a little curt which was fine maybe she was having a bad day. But I got a pre selected flight and she had me take a picture of the flight list so I knew which beer was which. Idk a lot of other breweries would have wrote it down but a picture works too. We sat outside on their covered patio and watched the river. It started to get really nice out so after that we sat at their turf area and chilled until we were done. We spent a good hour here and just really liked the vibe outside . People had their dogs so we were so watching and in generally very friendly . I took a picture beneath the sign with the bicycles. The ingredients were also very fresh. The toppings also fell within a reasonable balance. It wasn't overwhelming. It wasn't the best salad of this type that I've had, but it made for something crisp and fresh to pair with a pint. All that having been said, my suggestion would be to go for the beer. It's quite possible if I'd have visited during the day that my review would've been 5 stars. However, we came at night (well... winter night it was like 6pm?). It was dark. First, the parking lot. It looked like a scene from a horror movie where everyone gets killed. There was no actual parking lot, just some grass along the road where people were parked. There was a chainlink fence gate that was barely open, with an overgrown sign, and it looked like you were walking into a haunted factory. We walked in the brewery and it was only light by faint lights and candles. We jokingly started calling it the MURDER BREWERY in a spooky voice. I see the beautiful plants in the pictures in reviews here and we saw none of that. I have less-than-stellar night vision and actually held onto my wife's shoulders for her to lead me around. They also have a lot of tables without chairs. Maybe that's trendy, but really I want to sit and chat while I try your beer. I don't want to have to stand around. It cleared out before we left and we got a seat eventually, but the table/chair ratio was way out of whack. All this time and I haven't spoken about the beer yet. It was pretty good.
