Tommy showed up 2 hours later with his amazing, hard working crew. The broke up the sidewalk put all the debris in a truck. They ripped out all the roots then poured the concrete then cleaned up the area. They were back next morning finishing the job and cleaned up the entire area. Thank you to Tommy and Brian. Great job and I highly recomend them. They are highly recomended and will be doing more work for me in the near future.

1 Star - Defective Work, No Contract, Avoided Responsibility…read moreI hired Long Island Mason & Concrete Corp in June 2024 to pour a concrete patio for $5,900. The experience was a nightmare from start to finish. The Problems: The contractor requested payment in cash and never provided a written contract, which is required by New York law for jobs over $500. Within one week of the pour, two slabs began flaking and scaling. I immediately contacted the contractor. The work was done on a 100-degree day. When I raised concerns about the extreme heat affecting the concrete, the contractor acknowledged "this is the result of extreme heat" but refused to take responsibility as the professional who should have managed weather conditions or rescheduled. Months of Delays: Instead of promptly addressing the defects, the contractor stalled for months. When he finally offered to replace the two damaged slabs, he demanded I sign a liability waiver and warned the new concrete wouldn't match the color of the existing slabs - meaning I'd have a permanently mismatched patio due to his defective work. I offered a reasonable cash settlement to resolve the issue. He refused. I had no choice but to file a complaint with Nassau County Consumer Affairs. Official Violations: Consumer Affairs cited the contractor for multiple violations, including failure to provide a written contract (violation 202360, originally a $2,500 fine). He only agreed to a settlement after facing thousands in fines and potential license suspension. Ongoing Defects: After settling, two additional slabs developed structural cracks running completely across the slabs from joint to joint. All four slabs now show defects, confirming my original concern that the entire pour was compromised. Bottom Line: For a $5,900 job, I received a defective patio that required a 7-month battle through Consumer Affairs to get partial compensation. The contractor operates without proper contracts, pours in extreme conditions without adequate precautions, and avoids responsibility when problems arise. I strongly recommend hiring a licensed contractor who provides written contracts, follows proper procedures, and stands behind their work. This is not that contractor.

There were so many dents in the floor that I was sure it would never be smooth again--epoxy or no epoxy. Well, I guess I was proven wrong because these guys took their time to grind the floor, patch it, and then grind it again to make sure it was buttery smooth! They recommended sand for traction before putting the colored epoxy coating and that was a spot-on recommendation also (we don't want our customers slipping!). They offered a great color selection palette and recommended dark grey which I ended up liking as well. You can barely see the sand when the top color epoxy coat is applied so that was a plus. Before I hired them I got a quote from another company that was going to charge more and use an inferior method (acid etch instead of straight up grinding). Overall these guys are really professional and I would hire them again in a heartbeat. Thanks a lot, we love our new floor!

Jose and his team responded quickly and gave a fair quote. The work was completed after a few days. Very professional. Highly recommend. Great work. My father was very pleased. We are happy to recommend Diamond. Our basement had been leaking on and off since we moved in and…read morewe needed it waterproofed. Long story short Diamond Masonary was great. They finished the job in two days and were fairly priced. It's been about a month and we haven't seen a leak yet despite all the snow and rain. If we do I will update. Give them a call. They didn't reflect the negative reviews I read on here. If you want the full details read on. Vinny came to our house and was very detailed in explaining what he thought the problem was and how he would fix it. He listened to my questions (I tend to have a lot) and didn't try to upsell us. I assumed the problem would need a French drain and more and he felt confident that we didn't need to go to that expense. He said he could do all of that but we would be fine with an exterior membrane. I met with two other waterproofers who pretty much said the same and Vinny was the middle quote -yet we still chose him because he was honest and down to earth. Also I liked that his sons do the work so I trust they will take care to do it right. They scheduled us pretty quickly and got to work right away at 7 am. Three of them hand dug a 25 ft x 9 ft trench over two days (originally was supposed to be one but they needed a second because of our collapsing soil). They sealed the foundation and took care to replace my window wells, put my Sprinkler lines back, and stack the pavers they had to remove. They were respectful to me and my neighbors and didn't mind me hawking over to see them work every once and a while. We were very pleased with their work would recommend them.

He said if we did want to do some waterproofing we could, and gave us an estimate along with a break down of the materials and what would be done.
