I WISH I KNEW OF THIS BOBA PLACE EARLIER. I love how they have Asian snacks conveniently lined up the moment you enter the door. The aesthetics of the whole tea shop are quite cozy. The cafe soundtrack they had in the background facilitates a sense of calmness while we (a blood sister and I) sipped our drinks and continued to catch up with each other. The quality of the drinks were not on par with the aesthetics of the shop however. The drinks tasted like any tea drink you could get elsewhere. It caught my perhaps too high expectations for a flavorful drink that is as unique as I saw their interior design to be. The price is a bit on the pricier side of boba - but there are smaller, cheaper options.

Order type: quick add-on stop to a delivery order via DoorDash. Item ordered: Taro Milk Tea--M size, less ice & 75% boba (came with no boba TT-TT ) Price: $5.69 After placing my order at a nearby restaurant, I really wanted some boba and decide to get one from these guys. However, I was missing my boba :( By the looks of other photos, I actually want to still visit this place and give it another shot. Lots of cool looking drinks, I gotta know what they taste like...

Small place with great tea selection. Corner of Biddle and Maryland just off the UB Campus. More choices than most boba places. Fast and friendly. Just a small number of seats and tables For some reason there are two rows of grocery shelves with ramen, poky and other items unrelated to boba or tea. I got the lychee fruit tea. Boba was a bit hard and chewy. Tea was terrific.

Yummy!!! Two milk tea with tapioca . . Taro and mango.

Picking up my daughter in Baltimore and having the Roasted BBQ Pork Buns (that I picked up in Rockville from different place) for our lunch in the car back down I-95, wanted to get a tasty drink. Knowing that we love boba (or bubble) tea, I asked her if she knew of a place. Apparently she's been here every time she would go get her hair cut nearby in the past. There is street parking and possibly a parking lot around the block. Fortunately there was a space across the street though I was trying to determine how great my parallel parking is with the two large cars on either end. Clearly God loves me as then a car at the other end was leaving, enabling me to simply drive easily into the space AND it was on the same side as the tea place. I was surprised at the size. There's shelf that runs the length of the half the place that welcomes you to pick up Asian convenient items, like Pocky treats, even noodles (Ramen) and a sign that said the place would provide hot water for the noodle if desired. There were a bunch of small tables that people were sitting at with their tea or waiting to pick up. We ordered two milk tea with tapioca. She had taro and I had mango. You can select the level of ice and sugar. It was truly fresh tapioca. It was not as chewy like others I've had which sometimes indicate cooked too long though some like it that way. The counter had a menu with food so I'm unsure if they offer food. If so, takeout only since no formal dining area except for the small tables aforementioned. It was delicious. They were busy which is a good sign. Because it's fresh don't expect it to be fast. But I can't wait the next time my Honey travels up to visit our daughter who lives in Baltimore. He loves bubble tea even moreso. I forgot to check if they have dairy free option.

5/5 for aesthetics of the store and drink 3/5 for drink itself This is a cute little tea shop located in Mt. Vernon. The interior of the shop has a cute claw machine as well as some Asian snacks. There is also a lounge area (closed off because of COVID). They sell both food and drink but I only tried a drink from here since I was craving bubble tea. Their drinks here are very aesthetically pleasing and would be great for the instagrammers out there (think drinks like the butterfly pea tea). I ordered a taro milk tea with boba. The bubbles were okay (I like them both chewy and sweet, and it didn't have the standalone sweetness I was hoping for) and nothing stood out with the tea itself. It did the trick for me but there are so many other bubble tea places in the area in Baltimore that there isn't anything especially compelling me to come back besides maybe to try the non-dairy drinks and try out the food.

    Illegal service charge

The tea is good but I'm writing to share that they charge an legal 6% service fee without telling you. They're not a restaurant. The change on my card never matches my receipt and this is why: the service charge, such is damn high. They're scammers!

    order proof

they are a total SCAM!!!!!!!!! ordered thro the app, and the order went through!!!!!!!! then we went to the location to pick up DURING OPERATION HOUR AND DOOR IS LOCKED!!!!!!!!!!! we call them later and they never pick up!!!!!!!!!!!! what a disgusting joke of a tea shop!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're looking for a legit boba tea shop, then this is not the place for you. They make all their milk teas using powder and the fruit teas using syrup. The taste isn't bad, just not authentic. Their boba consistency wasn't soft/ chewy enough and I think they use store bought packaged boba... Also, their teas are on the sweeter side so I would recommend 25% or 50% sweetness. Also, there was only one worker, so that's when you know it's not authentic as usually boba shops have multiple workers as they have to cook the boba and make the teas like at ben gong's in nova. This place isn't bad necessarily, just not someplace I would go to again for boba. Also, even though there was an Hhtea wifi option, there was a password and when I asked the worker, they said they don't have wifi.

I wanted to try some bubble tea while visiting Baltimore, and ended up here because it was closest to where I was staying. Just very basic, middle-of-the-road bubble tea. I had a Honeydew Milk Tea with Grass Jelly. They use syrups for flavour and apparently the milk teas are all made with a powdered(?) nondairy base. My tea was a little watery even though I got no ice, but otherwise okay. I got 25% sugar (I would've gotten 0, but one of the menu displays lists 0 as the lowest option and the other lists 25 as the lowest, and I didn't see the 0 until after ordering), and I wonder if getting a higher sugar level would've made it taste less watery, but I wanted just more concentrated flavour, not sweeter. Grass jelly was good. It was a bit of a long wait for my drink considering they're just using powders and syrups. The prices are very affordable, some of the best I've seen in a long time! The decoration is very minimal, but they have a gacha machine and I think it's cool that they have some Japanese groceries and snacks for sale. There are 4-5 tables but it seems like they're mostly grab and go. The kitchen area itself seemed clean, but the eating/waiting area kind of had a dusty warehouse vibe. The staff was really nice though. I don't think I'd frequent here if I lived in the area, but if I had a special bubble tea craving I'd have no hesitations about coming back.

Decent place for boba in Mt. Vernon! Large, clean space with some seating. There's a claw machine, which is fun to pass the time while waiting for your order, and Asian snacks and essentials to buy (even oyster sauce, etc). Menu with good variety and options. Some of their special teas looked really good (but $6 per drink), so I opted for a matcha milk tea for more caffeine. My tea was pretty good but it seemed a tiny bit watery. Maybe that was because I had grass jelly in it instead of boba since they ran out of boba. The prices for the non-special drinks are some of the more reasonable ones around here - it seems boba is getting more and more expensive these days, so that was nice! Not very busy on a Saturday late afternoon. Make sure to get a stamp card!

Aurora drink -- lemon, lychee, butterfly pea
    Anh V.

I went here on a whim to check it out in person. The girl behind the counter recommended getting the Aurora, which has lemon, lychee, and butterfly pea (which gives the drink its blue-purple color) so I went ahead and got it with lychee jelly. It's my new favorite summer drink! Although there's less than a month of summer left LOL. So refreshing! And I'm glad the butterfly pea didn't turn my tongue blue. Only 4 stars because $6 is hella STEEP for a large specialty drink.

Quaint, local Bubble Tea establishment in convenient location in Mt Vernon. I visited this beverage shop after locating on Yelp and I'm glad I did. Also noticed it was a small convenience store and also sold limited food items. Plenty of options, good customer service and fantastic products!! Can't wait to return to get more items off Top 10 Beverage list of Bubble Teas and Smoothies.

    Lychee fruit tea with boba

In need of a lil boba pick-me-up? This is the place to go! HH Tea has delivery (Doordash, Uber Eats) and takeout available. The place was not crowded when I went, and it was relatively easy to distance yourself from others. This place does not accept ApplePay so make sure you bring a credit card (note: sometimes the chip reader doesn't work). I ordered a lychee fruit tea with boba and no ice. Rest assured the drink is still cold without ice! I asked for 50% sweetness (I don't like overly sweet drinks); when I order again, I would probably do 25% sweetness because it was still far too sweet for my liking. Aside from that, the boba is incredibly fresh and delicious! There is a wide variety of fruit teas (e.g. mango, lychee, guava), milk teas (e.g. matcha, taro), and toppings (e.g. boba, popping boba, lychee jelly) to choose from. I highly recommend this place. I'm sure I'll be back again to try a new fruit tea boba. Thank you, HH Tea!
