I would strongly caution anyone from using this company for HVAC installation. The owner was extremely rude throughout the process, and the workmanship was some of the worst I've seen. They had to come back three or four times just to finish the job properly. At first, the ductwork wasn't even connected, so the system didn't work at all. When they finally did attach it, they still left multiple issues behind that had to be corrected on later visits. The crew also damaged my property--as shown in the photos. They broke a light fixture, chipped the paint around the attic access, broke a light switch, and even left electrical wires exposed, which is a safety concern. To make matters worse, they left water bottles and trash in my attic after finishing the job. This was an unprofessional experience from start to finish. If you value quality work, respectful communication, and attention to detail, I would recommend looking elsewhere. IN RESPONSE TO BUSINESS' RESPONSE: i take damage to my home and spending $10,000+ on poor service very seriously. This was my experience with you guys. Glad to hear others had a better experience. Picture was from the state of my house after you guys left it. I DID send the pictures across to you guys. Vents needed to be correct multiple times. Safety turn off switch was also not installed when unit went in. So seems like you guys have some internal investigating to do. read more

Then the customer was thrown at by a big surprise of estimate of fixing the problem, which proved to be a totally marked up solution as well. Wont come back or recommend. If anything, I wish i didnt go to them two years ago, when they didnt even put in a filter for my HVAC when first installed and refused to admit so. I had to replace an old tankless water heater. They came out and replaced it, having to re-pipe it outside and worked in the rain to complete the job. A week later I noticed there was a leak draining down to my window from the copper pipe. I reached back out and they came out that day. Even though they could not complete the job until the next day, they were out and fixed the leak, re-caulked my window so no leaks inside and completed the work. I would recommend them for any Contractor issue you may have. Cole is professional and courteous. Something you don't see too often in service anymore. Not a good experience. I signed up for their annual plan and scheduled an appointment for Friday, but they canceled it after I had already taken the day off work. They couldn't reschedule me for the weekend, saying that weekends are only for service calls. Very inconvenient and disappointing. read more

Tried to use these guys for my heating issues, but ended up dealing with some "A**" on the phone, mediocre work, and a hefty bill. I thought they would be super professional due to their high ratings, but apparently they ask for their 5* reviews once work is completed. Honestly, I should've just went with another company as they stated with another reviewer; and probably would've had better work done. Hopefully, I won't have issues with their recommendation of changing out the HVAC ignitor; because if I didn't have them complete the work, they'll charge for their inspection fee. This review is based on initial work in July 2021 and follow up work in April 2022. Responsiveness (Owner and office personnel)- 5: I was on a time crunch to submit an architectural review for the HOA board to approve. Keith, the business owner arrived the morning after my initial YELP request. I had their quote in ample time for the HOA meeting. Corine is always good about returning calls, emails, providing/updating quotes and schedule updates. Speed of Service (Workers) - 5: Workers show up on time, on schedule. The only time they took a break is when I treated them to lunch. Apparently, the crew just powers through without eating, or maybe just a protein bar. Can't be healthy, but hey, once you're in the zone, it's easier to get the work done. Quality of Work - 4: Had it not been for the slight hiccup with the HVAC electronical wire, the HG Team would have had a 5 rating. I had them replace some electrical outlets, install an exhaust for the bathroom, and the HVAC. Attention to detail - 4: Workers always wear booties when indoors and are conscious of keeping your home clean. The worker today who corrected the electronical wire issue knew to use hand tools while I was on a conference call (the HVAC is right outside my bedroom door). I didn't have to ask him to, he just knew to keep the noise to a minimum. Cost - 4: Not the cheapest, but you don't want cheap contractors doing a cheap job. You want the greatest value for your money. As a homeowner, you want to be sure that the job is done well so you don't have to think about the improvement for 5, 10, 15 years down the road. Likeability & entertainment value - 5: HG has a good crew. Cole, Andrew, Joey, and Robert all worked at my condo. Very likeable and understood the work. At the time, it was Joey's 1st or 2nd week on the job. He kept zapping himself switching out the electrical outlets. He learned the hard way (at least four times), which wires not to touch. Was nice seeing Cole mentor Joey. I tried my best not to get in their way, but as a curious individual I did ask several questions, especially for the HVAC so I understood the system and can reasonably explain if I were to sell or rent my Condo in the future. If you're looking for a discount contractor, look elsewhere. After my July install, I did recommend two of my neighbors. If you're in Seagate Colony HOA in Aliso Viejo, HG knows what our units need. My initial disappointment with the electrical wire was addressed which is why, overall HG deserves high marks. read more

Initially gave this business 5 stars as they were efficient but years after getting our water heater replaced, it still did not work properly. HG has not provided adequate service. This recent service was to add more equipment to get the water heater they installed in 2021 to work properly as it never had. They charged a large amount for this extra work despite the system we initially paid over $10,000 for never having worked properly. Then, we were told they would not replace the drywall they removed after the equipment was installed. We asked for assistance and understanding and were given an invoice and a hole in the wall. Memorial Wkend 2022 our AC unit finally died...it was a heat wave...we called 5 HVAC businesses who advertise emergency svcs. HG was the only business who called us back and came out in a couple hrs to do their magic to get us cold air. We decided to purchase a whole new HVAC unit within the week. (They would have come same day if we were willing to pay the after hours rate.) We were only charged the minimum service call,because the technician had the unit up and running quickly. HG Showed up at 9 am and left at 6. These guys, this company is amazing. For the first night in 6 years the air handler in my bedroom is quiet. Not only did they install my new system, and they ran into a ton of problems, they made sure it was quiet, and installed correctly. On top of that they come back in 6 months to service it. After that for $189 a year they come out every 6 months to service it. And it has a 10 year warranty from HG. We didn't expect to have to cut the drywall but ended up doing it. They would have repaired it (extra) but I had them cut it to the studs so I can do it myself. I really can't say enough about how great these guys are. I filled out a request online for an estimate to install a mini split system. The technician didn't show for the original appointment time so I called the same day to receive an update. Was told by the receptionist that the technician was running late but would arrive within an hour. I received a call from the receptionist about 45 minutes later indicating the technician had arrived and needed access to the property. I instructed her to tell him where to park and the code to get into the gate. Another 45 minutes passed and I heard nothing. I called the receptionist back to indicate he never came to my home and she apologized for the inconvenience. It should not be this difficult to get a simple estimate done. read more
