To save yourself a headache and avoid being another victim scammed by Heylo Beauty, just don't book Heylo Beauty / Lorrisa Kyle. Before I go on my experience as being a bride, I would say she was nice at first when I handed my credit card. After that, everything went south.
Here is my experience: I hired the owner - Lorrisa of Heylo Beauty to do bridal parties and my makeup and hair stylist for my Wisconsin wedding 8/8/21. After I had a updos trial with her, I paid for all bridal updos services and also offered one round trip flight ticket for two (Lorrisa and another artist she picked) to do the updos for my traveling on-site wedding.
On 8/5/2021 at 8:30pm, I received an email from an airline and stated that Lorissa had canceled the flight. She canceled without notice. I called and texted her without
reply.
On 8/6/2021 at 8:41am, I received an email from her saying she had a family emergency. But she had arranged a professional team to do my makeup and hair on my wedding day. After I met with "her professional team",the artists have told me that they don't work for Heylo Beauty Co. nor Lorissa Kyle.
On 8/6/2021 at 9:15am, I texted and emailed Lorissa to ask her professional team contacts since my wedding was less than two days. And I had two bad makeup trials experience before I chose Lorissa, which she was aware of. Hence, it was stressful when she said she could not perform the service and had someone else to do that. However, I did not hear from her.
On 8/6/2021 at 8:25pm, I still did not hear anything from Lorissa. Instead, I saw Lorissa online on Facebook messenger and she also posted advertisements for her business on Instagram. Then, I texted her to get me the artist contacts again since she was online on Facebook messenger.
On 8/7/2021 at 6:01am, I barely could sleep because I was one day away from my wedding on 8/8/21 and I still had not yet heard from her about the artist's contacts. I texted her again. After 25 mins, I received a text from Lorissa. Lorissa had finally provided me with the contacts of the backup artists.
Later that date, I reached out to the artists and found out my artists won't stay for the wedding to do my touchup or second hair style look. The worst part was Lorrisa had provided the wrong headcount. I texted and called Lorrisa and she never replied to me.
On 8/8/2021 - my wedding day, the hair stylist arrived with attitude.Besides, some of my bridal parties did not get their hair done because Lorissa had told her the wrong headcount. So some of my bridal parties had to do their own hair. Again, I texted, called her and left her a voice message, she never texted or called or emailed me back.
After two weeks of the wedding, I reached out to Lorrisa for a partial refund due to the service I paid and yet did not receive.
After a month of the wedding, Lorrisa has not yet refunded me back. Besides, I also found out that Lorrisa also has not yet paid my backup artist lady who actually did the service.
As a bride, I could say I was calm and even thought of myself that I would have no artists to show up to do my makeup and hair on my big day. My bridesmaids were trying to make me feel better and said they could help no artists show up. Luckily, the backup artists showed up and the makeup lady was pretty well too, which I call myself LUCKY! After this, I found out some brides were not lucky like me. Overall, it was not a great feeling and experience. I would not want another bride to have the same experience I had. Couple days before the wedding or on the wedding day, no brides should be stressed about vendors not showing up. read more
