This place is cute. I wouldn't say the food is worth the price, but I didn't really mind paying for the price for the decorations. It wasn't busy the day my boyfriend and I went in. We were hungry and just went to the National Baseball Hall of Fame Museum across the block. We wanted hot dogs after seeing the exhibits and whatnot, but ended up getting a philly cheesesteak ($7.50 on the menu, but you'll be upcharged for peppers and onions) because that sounded more appealing while we were browsing the menu. The cheesesteak wasn't bad. But it definitely could have used a LOT more cheese...and meat...The person at the register wasn't particularly friendly, but I guess he just doesn't like his job very much. Food was ok. Plenty of seats to choose from. The tables and sauces were a bit sticky, but what can you expect from a fast food restaurant during peak baseball season, right? read more

This place was horrible. It's downstairs from a store "mickeys place". There were two kids, probably about 15 running everything. I didn't see anyone else the entire time I was there. These two were goofing off and talking to one another. I also saw the one kid putting bacon on a hot dog without gloves and they'd both been touching their phones. This should have been my warning but it's my boyfriends birthday and he wanted to eat here. I got macaroni salad and a bacon hot dog. We waited about 15 minutes for our food which is kind of a long time for a hot dog I think. When they called my name to pick mine up I had potato salad instead of macaroni. I pointed this out to the kid and he said "no it's macaroni". I was like "no these are potatoes" but he was looking at his phone. He said sorry and grabbed me the macaroni salad which was waiting already in a bowl in the fridge. He gave it to me and it had a big black hair stuck to the side of the styrofoam bowl it was in. I brushed it off and since I'd already bought the meal I decided to try it. I went to get toppings for my hot dog. The onions were all stuck to the bottom of the container and didn't look fresh. When I opened the lid for the relish there were flies. So I decided no toppings but ketchup. The hot dog wasn't even good, very generic and cheap. The macaroni salad was gross. I are only like 1/4 of my meal and left the rest. I had very literally a very disgusting taste in my mouth after eating. I tried to wash this out of my mouth with a soda. Rootbeer and sprite were both flat. I should have listened to all the warning signs and taken the $10 loss. In conclusion, gross, dirty, horrible service. Go somewhere else. read more

Nice to have a simple option -- and a fun choice when visiting the HOF. Nathan's dogs and good fries. They have several tables on the sidewalk and outdoor ordering, so you don't have to go to the lower level, tight restaurant during Covid. Could also take to go and eat a few blocks down at the lakefront. read more

All I can say is this is a great idea that is executed horribly. Ordered 4 hotdogs, a burger, 2 sodas, and a beer. 45 minutes later, it was ready. Only reason I can think of, is that the place is literally run by teenagers. The only person of age is working the register. So the problem is, as soon as someone orders something other than a hotdog or fries, the kitchen backs up ... waaaaay up. Because they literally go order by order. So when I ordered 3 dogs and a burger, I should've gotten my order fairly quick. BUT, two orders in front of us, ordered a wrap and chicken fingers which takes some time to cook and make. So, instead of going on to the next orders while that was being made, they wait. In turn, so do you. Needs a full time manager to delegate the kitchen staff. read more

Probably one of the worst hotdogs I've ever had...coming from NYC as a transplant may have spoiled me but the hotdog roll felt stale on top and fell apart from "mushy-ness" due to the sauerkraut and its juices put on it and left to sit there while the rest of the order was completed (I watched the whole time). Went on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30 pm. We let them know we were in a hurry and placed our order. We ordered hot dogs and French fries. These cook times should run about 4 minutes. 15 minutes later we still didn't have our food. We promptly asked for our money back and left. Bottom line if you are in a hurry and or have expectations of timeliness look elsewhere. Can't speak to the quality of food because we didn't actually eat. read more

It's a nice little hot dog place in the center of Cooperstown. Being its Cooperstown you should expect a bit of a way for any restaurant with the tourists/little league teams. Good for a quick bite to eat with good hot dogs/corn dogs, onion rings that aren't saturated with grease. read more

Walked in for a quick hot dog lunch break from the baseball hall of fame. There was a line of about 10 people. Not terrible. Until you realize that they are all grumpy because the line isnt moving and there is only one person working taking one order then making it and then taking the next order. Walked in. Waited 5 min. My husband had the chili dog, which he enjoyed very much. I had a BLT and we shared a basket of fries ($4). My sandwich was perfect and I suggest that you add mayo and some of their hot dog salsa to the sandwich. We ordered and they added a 50 cent charge for lettuce and tomato on a cheeseburger without letting us know nor was that up change written anywhere. Pretty scammy. The soda machine was flat, so we were charged $2 for water. We told the staff and they didn't seem to care. It took 20 minutes to get out food. Wow. Where do I start. The buns of the hot dogs were literally slices of white bread. I got a chili dog, and the chili was mediocre at best. The cheese was cold, and not melted. The hot dog was thin and very bland. To top off the mediocrity of the food, the soda fountain spit out flat soda. When the employees "fixed" the machine, the soda still tasted terribly flat. 8/20/13 2 pm The place is cute and a great idea and it about ends there. The chili dog didn't have any chili, the foot long was plain as a corn husk, and the condiments were right out of the bottle. Nothing special. The worst part was the tables were sticky and had not been cleaned. I asked twice and went into the kitchen requesting a wet cloth. They handed me a paper towel to smear the mess around. I expect much more from an establishment across from the Hall of Fame. Needs some management attention. I am not understanding the bad reviews at all because this place was GREAT! We had a large party and got all of our food in a reasonable amount of time. This hotdog place is on Main Street right by The Baseball Hall of Fame. This has a very narrow stairway leading you down below the ground. There's a menu on the road attached to another building with the prices. The prices are reasonable and on the cheap end. Our first 5 seconds in the doorway was not a good experience. The staff is unprofessional, unfriendly, and lazy. Two of the staff sat there on the stairs blocking the stairs. We were standing behind them and they just looked at us. We actually had to squeeze our legs in between these two workers to get into the restaurant. The only reason I would ever go here is if I'm looking for a cheaper place to eat. The chili dogs were $3.25, onion rings $3.00-$5.50. If you've got kids and are on a budget, it's cheaper then other places. There's no combo meals. You have to order everything separate. So, really, by the time you add a drink / hotdog / onion rings, it's about $8.25, and you can go to other places for this. You can just get a $2 hotdog. Their burgers are $6.50 with no drink or side. The place is filthy. There are about 12 tables and every single table had food all over them, crumbs, ketchup, and just nasty. We had to clean our own table. The floor was filthy. The workers just sat there on the stairs watching tv. No one cared that the place was dirty and no one cared about the image they gave off. If you want a $2 hotdog and $2 bottle of water, fine. On our way out, the workers never moved from the stairs and we had to walk around them as well. I would've given them a 1 start, but the food wasn't bad and you can get a hotdog and water for $4. Personally, every employee in there should be fired. read more

We went in around 1:30, there was a line; but it was during their rush so it was expected. It was a cute little place with lot of old baseball memorabilia. My husband and I order a Chicken Bacon Wrap and their Chicken Wings, both were quite good. They allowed us to customize the wrap to what we wanted on it and as for the the chicken wings, they were crispy, juicy, and really delicious. All in all this was a pleasant experience. read more

I know it is under new management, and what a 180. The food is delicious and cheap, the place is actually kept clean now and the service while a little slow was extremely friendly. Overall it's a great place to eat traditional american baseball food in a wonderful baseball atmosphere. I'll definitely will be going back. read more

We went in to grab some vegan hot dogs to go back to Dreams Park for closing ceremonies. Don't understand why more places don't sell vegetarian hot dogs.
