Took transmission in the truck to them to rebuild and within a couple of weeks it was leaking. They fixed the leak and within 2-3 months it had to be rebuilt AGAIN. They said something fell apart in it and went throughout the transmission, so it had to be rebuilt again. Transmission went bad in 15 months after this rebuild. Won't be going back. read more

Transmission was slipping so I went to Kay jays, they quoted me 10k and said I needed a trans replacement. I took it to this shop and he said it was 2 25$ sensors that needed to be replaced. 4k miles later and no problems. This dude could've taken advantage of the fact I know nothing about vehicles, but he didn't. Service and Quality of Service was exceptional with the exception that the mechanic left GREASE on my cloth interior. My car is spotless inside and out and this is a bummer. I will try and clean it up myself. Great work , fair price , honest business I was so stressed out that I was going to need transmission because 3 mechanics had told me I did. I saved up the money (3mos) and came here instead of the other places. Turns out I did not need a new transmission, I did have a transmission problem and it did cost me 1,200 (better than 3,800) but I never felt like I was being taken advantage of or being lied to about anything. This location was booked for a week so she had her brother do the work for her, for FREE of course. The owner is honest and that's what are city needs more of. My first reviews in 2 years are for Hesperia Transmission. I posted in May on Rob's repair of my Saturn SUV. He did an excellent job. I called about 10 places because that is what I do (and had 2 transmissions to repair). And for the Saturn, Hesperia Transmission was a few hundred higher than lowest quote and few hundred lower than highest quote. But BY FAR THE BEST CHOICE. He gave me warranty info on the phone.Have had my vehicle now for months and runs great. It is so nice to get an honest mechanic. Super great job. AND now my second vehicle, my mustang had transmission problem, and Rob fixed this as well. He did more than i asked for. I wanted temp fix and he did more for the price of the temp fix. Super fair quote. Honest and quality transmission shop. And to boot, he even stored vehicle until it was convenient for me to pick up. What a great guy. read more

Horrible very upset with this shop. Leaking transmission because he didn't use proper gasket for pan. Very unprofessional. Cheap. Told me to come back in two weeks to fix. When my 2010 Jeep Rubicon's transmission finally failed (after about 180,000 miles), I had it towed to Hesperia Transmission at 9461 E Avenue in Hesperia. After looking into the problem, Rob clearly explained my options: he could rebuild the transmission or install one from the dealer. He recommended the cheaper rebuild option, saying that he has had good results with that solution. I went with the rebuild and asked him to also replace the front drive shaft (which was on it's way out), and he was done with everything in a week, as promised. Since then, I have taken the Jeep on several long, steep mountain grades (both on and off road) and it drives like new. I am very happy with the whole experience at Hesperia Transmission, and would highly recommend them. read more

I wish we would of come here first. The honesty was so refreshing! We had a diagnostic of our Jeep Liberty from a shop in Apple Valley (Master J's). The code displayed a check engine light came back as a transmission issue. We were told there we needed to replace the transmission due to safety issues. The jeep didn't jerk changing gears, or smell like burnt fluid. Just a check engine light. We called Hesperia Transmission and over the phone they said those are codes for the sensor. They still needed to do their own inspection. The codes were reset by the other place. Hesperia Transmission tried to drive it to get the codes to come up but nothing did. They told us they could not work on it due to there was no codes showing. And....didn't even charge for their time. I found a new mechanic that I will make the drive to for the honesty and integrity of his work. Robert is a true business owner who takes pride in his work. read more

On a trip from San Diego to Las Vegas towing a travel trailer with my diesel pickup when my transmission fluid overheats. Rob stops what he's doing to check on my truck. These guy were awesome! I heard from friends and family that they are a stand up group, and frankly I concur. I drove in to talk to them and get an idea on what it was go I'll ng to cost me. Rob was very nice and gave me a quote that was to me a very fair price. I called Uber and left my truck with them. 3 working days later Steve calls to say he has a Ford F-350 4x4 with a rebuilt transmission waiting to be picked up... Steve the office manager gave me a no hassle estimate, not like other places where at first they tell you one price then you get a call later and it's like "oh it's going to be more because we found other problems." I called Hesperia transmission shop on 07/13 and spoke with Steve, I asked how much it would be to check my car for any problems I let him know what my car was doing and he asked if I could bring it by later the same day. I was so surprised that they were able to accommodate so quickly considering another shop in Victorville told me I would have to leave my car for 3 days. Place was recommended by a coworker. They had never had work done there, but they said they knew one of the owners children and the family are good people. Well, my coworker was correct. I took my sons 2002 Honda Civic in. Turns out there was an engine issue and not transmission. Steve was awesome, didn't even charge for the diagnostic. Gave me the list of fault codes and recommended another local shop for the engine. Some mechanics out there might have taken advantage of the situation and charged for some unnecessary work. Despite professional communication and previous success on a 1998 Ford Windstar transmission, I would not recommend Hesperia Transmission after they: recommended a shop to power-flush our transmission that blew holes in it, leaving my wife coming up the Cajon Pass at 25 mph in the middle of the night; found it humorous that there was no transmission fluid in the car after their referral; charged $2700 to rebuild the transmission but left it clunking as it shifted gears; failed to fix the clunking noise despite our bringing the vehicle three times; told us it would cost $2,200 to rebuild a 2007 Corolla transmission without looking at the car while Atech transmission fixed the code/transmission for under $1,100. The whole ordeal with the 2010 Corolla cost us more than $4,600 before it was fixed properly by Atech Transmission. This could have been avoided had I just gravity drained the transmission and refilled it with new fluid and a transmission filter for under $100. The two brothers at Hesperia Transmission seem like nice guys and previously fixed a 1998 Ford Windstar transmission, but I couldn't recommend them because of the recent costly issues that came up. read more
