    They are extremely unclear and not upfront about what charges you could possibly incur upon return. Manager Jesus is extremely rude and immediately came out with an attitude before even understanding why we were upset. We paid $618 for an suv and I paid extra for the liability. The total for the car with deposits and everything was well over $800. We have dogs but never bring them in our rental cars because we don't want them to mess them up. However, our clothes and belongings have pet hair and no matter what we do, to clean and remove it all from every single item is impossible. I was under the impression that paying for liability meant I could bring the car back in any condition - those were the words of an employee there. Well, upon drop off they refused to accept the vehicle back unless I paid a $300 fee on top of what I had already paid for the car because there was pet hair. I refused to pay it and Jesus, the manager, refused to accept the vehicle return unless I paid it. He had an attitude from the second he walked out the door and so I matched his attitude with my own. I refused to pay it and said I'd be back with it clean and the I better not have it be charged for being late. I drove up the street to a car wash and vacuumed the hair for $8 vs a stupid $300 "cleaning charge." I return back to the Hertz and the manager is gone. At this point, my husband and I are late for work so I say something about it to the worker. He checks the car in and returns it without the cleaning charge. You can see from my photos the amount of dirt and hair they wanted to charge $300 for. I've rented many cars from here over the years and have absolutely never had to clean them upon returning. This is the first time I've ever heard of incurring a $300 charge. Be wary of how you return the vehicle you rent and make sure you vacuum it out on your own just to be safe and avoid a possible charge.

    Horrible Horrible experience with the associates. Recently rented about a month ago and they gave me a shitty car. I called to return the car and their voice mail says they are closed on Saturdays. Checked yelp and confirmed they are closed on Saturday' so I did not return the car until first thing Monday morning. They did not gave me credit for that. The white guy told me he will call me to see if they can credit me for it but 6 weeks past nothing happened. He did not even gave me a breakdown of the bill as he told me he will fix it and let me know and that is when he will give me a print out. Very unprofessional. I would have went to enterprise rent a car had it not for my insurance sending me there. PLEASE AVOID them AT ALL COST! Even the HERTZ corporate executive advised me later on not to go here.

This completely defeats the purpose of reserving ahead of time. To make matters worse, there was only one employee managing everything, including driving duties, and there seemed to be no organization or clear scheduling. Then there was a driver just standing around asking when he was supposed to take his lunch? The lack of staffing and coordination created unnecessary delays and frustration. Overall, the customer service was very disappointing. I expected a much more reliable and professional experience, especially with a confirmed reservation. I call the 800 # They took all my information and was supposed to book me a car. They never called back. Thank goodness we didn't wait. I also called the Whittier location and wow the service over phone was worse and it was a manager. I have now booked out of my city!! What I shouldn't have to do.

The flat tire light came on on my first car. I was in the middle of nowhere, but luckily I found a tire shop to look at the car before making my long trek home. I waited for 2 hours to be seen, all for the service man to tell me it was just a bum light and all my tires were okay. Such a waste of time and ruined my schedule for the day. 2. We roadtripped to Las Vegas in a midsized SUV. Afrer arriving at the hotel parking lot, we popped open the trunk and when we were about to close it, the arm holding the hood open completely busted and we were unable to close it. We spent almost an hour trying to fix it, but we ended up MacGyvering it to keep it shut. In fear of the hood popping open in the middle of the desert, we had to go completely out of our way to trade it in. The worst part about the car, was that when the arm popped out, we noticed duck tape wrapped around the top. Meaning, they knew there was a problem with the car, but rented it to us without properly fixing it. 3. We were 2 hours out and something under our car started rattling and the maintenance light came on. Again, in fear of us breaking down, we had to inconveniently replace the car. Because it was a Saturday, we had to sit and wait 2 hours before a car was available. Needless to say, the cars here are in bad shape. They have a very, very small selection. And each time I rented here, the cars all had an out of state license plate. We'll stick to Enterprise from now on.

My girl scout troop was able to go on their camping trip all thanks to Mohamed. The vehicle was clean with a full tank of gas and ran very smoothly. After returning the vehicle, I realized that I was forgot an item and Mohamed was able to retrieve it. He kept it safe until I was able to go back to pick it up. Would definitely go back!!!

Joe then told me he would be "right back," but instead informed me that my driver's license was invalid even though it is a valid, unexpired Georgia-issued license. I had rented from this same location just two weeks prior with no issue using the same license. When I asked for clarification, Joe repeatedly stated that there was no bias involved but did not provide a clear or legitimate reason for refusing the rental. I was referred to this location because my vehicle is currently being repaired across the street at Jeep, making the situation especially inconvenient. Based on this experience, I would recommend exploring alternative rental options. I personally had a much better experience booking through Priceline at a significantly lower cost.
