    Unfair Fuel Charge Due to Delayed Fuel Gauge - Enterprise Warminster (Street Road)…read more Dear Enterprise Customer Care, I am writing to formally complain about an unfair fuel charge resulting from a vehicle issue during my recent rental from your Street Road location in Warminster, PA. I rented a Mazda CX-90, which I received with half a tank of fuel, per my rental agreement. After driving for three days, I used approximately one-quarter tank of fuel. Before returning the vehicle, I intentionally refueled the car to bring it back to half a tank, as required. To ensure accuracy, I turned the car on at the gas station to monitor the fuel gauge while refueling. The fuel pump automatically stopped while the gauge still appeared to be below the half-tank mark. After removing the pump and parking the car, the fuel gauge continued to rise. After approximately 4-5 minutes, the gauge indicated that the tank was full, not half. This delayed fuel gauge behavior caused me to pay for significantly more fuel than required, through no fault of my own. When I explained this situation to the Enterprise employee at return, I was told that: "It happens all the time, and we can't do anything about it." Enterprise disclaimed responsibility for the vehicle issue and placed full responsibility on me as the renter. While the employee did offer to contact Corporate, no immediate resolution was provided. I have been a loyal Enterprise customer for many years, but this experience was extremely disappointing. I believe it is unreasonable to hold customers financially responsible for known vehicle defects--especially when the customer made a good-faith effort to comply with the rental agreement. I am requesting: Reimbursement for the extra fuel cost caused by the inaccurate/delayed gauge A review of how fuel disputes related to vehicle malfunctions are handled Confirmation that customers will not be penalized for vehicle issues beyond their control Reply: Hi Stacy, Thank you for your prompt response. For your reference, I have outlined a timeline of the events below prior to proceeding with posting my review on Yelp: On April 30, I informed the local personnel of the issue at the time I returned the rental. On May 5, I followed up by phone to further discuss the matter with the local staff. After waiting an additional 2-3 days without resolution, I escalated the issue by contacting the corporate complaints department via email. I then allowed another week to pass without receiving a satisfactory response before considering posting my complaint publicly. Given the above timeline, I do not believe that contacting a general corporate email address will be effective at this stage. If possible, I would appreciate being directed to a specific individual or department with the authority to resolve this matter. Thank you again for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your assistance.

Next time, I had to get an oil change for the vehicle. Nothing like taking time out of your day while on vacation and you have excursions set with specific times.. The young lady at enterprise explained the car wasn't clean and to give her a minute. They ran the car through the wash and was handed over with suds all over it. The inside smelled like marijuana/cigarettes. Took the car down the road and the steering wheel was getting ripped out of my hands due to the front end being out of alignment. Once I inspected the vehicle I discovered three different tires/tread/manufacturer on it. I'm sure this didn't help. They took the vehicle back with zero questions and put me into another vehicle. This vehicle doesn't have a shimmy and only one tire is a mix match. The inside side of the windshield is so filthy I had to clean it 3 times. The interior smells so bad like cigarettes I decided to deodorize and ozone the interior. The smell has prevailed. Enterprise needs to enforce the no smoking policy by charging these degenerates for smoking in the vehicle. To date I have never been in a clean/ well kept enterprise rental.

    Please please be careful from renting from this site. Their hours are subject to making xtra…read moremoney. They close at 12:00noon on Sat. and not open on Sunday. Trust me they are out at 12:01. So, they have a drop off box and if you use it you still have to pay for it sitting on their lot when close what an expensive get over to customers, If you get stuck in traffic or have any thing else they get not one but two days more on the rental. This is why you should go elsewhere. I'm a senior and was robbed by Enterprise Car Rental. Called every day for a week and no upper management has gotten back to me. Manager at branch said, there is nothing he can do for me. I said, look at the camera the car sat in you lot for two days. if I would have been told about this I would have used the vehicle. Thankfully I lived right up the street! Alex was the one who took care of the reservation and all I had to do when I got there was sign my name! Very fast transaction and what a nice man!!! He was super helpful and fulfilled my needs! He gave me a GMC SUV, The car was beautiful, everything was neat, clean and the car was fully filled with gas!
