Given to me on 43 percent battery

should have read the reviews before coming here. was given "managers special" electric Tesla. never driven one in my life. employee didn't even know how to drive it because "it had been a while" since he drove one.. he had to text me later that day to give me more explanation on how the car works probably for liability reasons he left out the fact that there was a home charger in the car which I found out by a friend car was not clean, and it was given to me on 43 percent yet they wanted to charge me for a full battery when I returned it at 80. very disappointed in this company..

000000 star for this location, never rent a car here. Location says open at 8:00am, I wait for 40mins and no one here, i need to Uber to my destination for not late for my schedule. The photo I took is 8:35am. No one at the counter and no phone call can be reached. All the computer's off. Worst place.

Never ever going to this location ever again! They gave me the dirtiest car... stains everywhere, they never even took it for a car wash! This location is like a makeshift office in a hotel with two desks... the people working not only have to take people's money and reservations and answer phones but they also clean the car themselves.... I felt bad for the employees but at the same time Hertz is supposed to be a reputable company.... they should have another person to clean the cars. Not only were there stains all on the inside of the car but it smelled like straight up smoke from cigars or cigarettes or both. I'm not a smoker so why would I want a car that smells like smoke?!?! The outside of the car also was not cleaned and there are marks and dirt all over it. Sorry, but I have never had a car rental this bad. There were also tons of people behind me and people getting mad and annoyed because they were waiting in line for over thirty minutes! Why you ask? There was nobody else to clean the cars! The employees had to do it themselves. If I was working there I would quit. I'm telling you this is literally the worst experience I have ever had with a car rental. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with Expedia and hertz and they didn't want to refund my money so they sent me an hour away to exchange it for a car that doesn't smell like smoke and hopefully is clean. As thankful as I am for the lady i talked to with Expedia I'm still pretty POd bc I wasted 4 hours of my day off.

We're in an insurance rental after someone hit my wife's car -- never a fun situation to begin with -- but Zach, Sam, and Sophia somehow turned this whole experience into something surprisingly positive. I swear these three must have Jedi training. Patient with every single question, remembered details I forgot I even said, and somehow managed to hunt down an electric vehicle for us -- which is nearly a mythical creature in rental fleets right now. Zach is the calm problem-solver, Sam works like she's secretly running mission control for NASA, and Sophia has the type of customer service energy that makes you forget you're dealing with insurance paperwork in the first place. And huge shout-out to Jen over at the "Exotic Rentals" location on Autopilot Drive. I don't know what her official title is, but I'm pretty sure she's the one actually holding the multiverse together. She helped from behind the scenes like she's done this in another lifetime. Bottom line? This is one of the very rare rental car teams that operates with hustle, humor, and actual humanity. Not just "here's the keys, good luck." More like "don't worry -- we got you." Five stars without hesitation. If every Enterprise ran like this one, the rental industry would be a joy ride.

I was at another, different rental company. They were lost. They had about 10 people in the lobby and were doing rentals like the old days. Calling to get credit card approvals, no cars, everything done by paper. I felt like we were back in the 70s. I went over to Enterprise, where I had a 2nd reservation. (My Office duplicate booking error). When I arrived, they asked what class I booked and pointed me towards those cars. They told me to take whatever. I was in a car within 5 mins from my arrival. Yes it took a little bit to get out since there were about 10 cars in front of me but we all had cars. There were about 4 people checking out cars and I was on the road within 20 mins of my arrival. AWESOME SERVICE. They were working just as the other company and overcame all the issues and problems that they faced. Plus I got a transponder with no problem. Thanks for the professionalism and effort.

Absolutely the Worst Rental Experience - Would Give -5000 Stars if Possible…read more I rented a car through Costco Travel with Budget Car Rental at IAD for one week, with a total quoted price of $397.47. My flight arrived late at night, and I had to wait 70 minutes at the rental counter to complete the process. There were over 20 people in line and only one staff member working. The wait was excessive and showed a complete lack of regard for customers. The next morning (May 10, 2025), the rear right tire pressure dropped to 16 PSI. I had to stop at a gas station to inflate it. That afternoon, the tire pressure dropped again, so I contacted Costco Travel for assistance. They transferred me to Budget's roadside assistance, but my call was disconnected twice for no reason. No one followed up. I had to inflate the tire a second time just to keep using the car. On the morning of May 11, the tire pressure dropped again to 17 PSI (see attached photo). I took the car to a local Budget branch at the Marriott Hotel in Tysons Corner, McLean, VA, hoping to swap the vehicle. They refused to help and told me to return the car to the airport location, which was more than 30 minutes away, one way. I didn't feel safe driving a car with a recurring tire issue on the highway, and I didn't want to spend hours dealing with more lines. With no other choice, I returned the car to that local branch--not because I wanted to, but because Budget's service left me no safe or reasonable alternative. To make things worse, the final e-receipt showed a charge of $445.90 for just 36 hours with the car--$48.43 more than the full-week rental I had booked. It felt like daylight robbery. I contacted Costco Travel for help. After 70 days of back-and-forth, they told me Budget would only offer a $40 adjustment, citing that the issue "wasn't reported to the customer service team or pickup location"--even though I clearly tried to contact Budget and had my calls disconnected. Costco Travel offered no meaningful support and seemed unwilling to advocate for the customer. Disappointing, to say the least. Even though the car didn't break down completely, I returned it early due to safety concerns, and I should have been charged only for the time I used the car, prorated. Instead, I was charged more than the full-week rental for a car I had less than two days--and that had issues from the start. I will never rent from Budget again. Their customer service is terrible, their response to problems is nonexistent, and their billing practices are downright dishonest. Thankfully, there are other rental options out there--and I will be using them from now on. Updates on Sep 24, 2025 I tried to dispute with my credit card company on this insane and dishonest charge. After months waiting, I was informed today that my dispute failed. Again, Budget car rental sucks. Avoid it by all means. Waste of time and money, no service.

This is the first time I have used Budget Rent a Car at the Sears Automotive Dulles Town Center…read morelocation and this will be my last time. I reserved a car online and pre-paid my reservation. To my surprise, when I went to pick up the car, the Budget employee told me that there weren't any more cars left! I was so shocked because I had reserved and paid for the rental car already online. She also told me that there were no cars at any nearby Budget locations and not even at Dulles airport. I spent over a half hour at the Budget counter calling the Budget 800 customer support number and they said there were cars available. However, the agent was not answering at the Dulles Airport location so if I went there, I was risking that there were no cars and wasting even more time. The Budget employee told me that the only car she had available was just returned and the previous customer told her that the car needed an oil change since the oil light came on. She assured us that the car didn't need an oil change. She would not offer any discount for the inconvenience. Out of desperation to need to leave for an out of town trip, we decided to use this car, knowing that we could possibly exchange it at another Budget location somewhere on the way to our destination. When my wife first entered the car, she said it smelled like cigarette smoke. She is very sensitive to cigarette smoke and has a negative reaction to it. Also, the car obviously wasn't cleaned as trash was still on the floor. The Budget employee told us that it wasn't cigarette smoke when it obviously was. She offered to clean the car for us before we left. What a joke! The car came back with some spray smell, but the smoke smell was still there. There were stains and tears on the seats. Windows were marked with dirt. 45 minutes was wasted as we waited for this employee to try to scramble to figure things out. We had to leave our windows down throughout our trip to air out the car. I know this place is run by a franchisee but allowing customers to reserve and pay for rental cars online and then not having the cars available sounds like a scam! The employee didn't offer any discount or compensation for this fiasco so I would warn everyone to stay away from this location unless you want to be frustrated!

I ended…read moreup choosing to stay at the SpringHill Suites, by Marriott (Herndon, Virginia) primarily because this hotel was close to the airport (IAD), and it also has this Enterprise Rent-A-Car business colocated within the premises. After making my reservation with the hotel, I then made a reservation with this Enterprise as well. I had a super-smooth experience here. This Enterprise Rent-A-Car station is located on the first floor just a few steps around the corner from the hotel lobby. Upon approaching the Enterprise window, a young man greeted me. His name was Devin, and I found him to be professional and friendly. I was especially happy because he took the time to walk out, show me the car, inspect the car for possible pre-existing damage, and show me where the after-hours key drop-off location was. He also gave me a better car than what I was expecting to get. I drove this car all over the Washington D.C. area, and then I returned it back to this Enterprise, returning after Enterprise closed for the night. After ensuring that I removed all my items from the car, I then put the car keys in the drop box just as Devin advised. I had no issues whatsoever. Thanks to the folks at Enterprise, especially to Devin, for providing excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend choosing to rent a car at this location to others.

Update: this location was great but my issue is with Enterprise's billing. Paid in full then…read morereceived a charge for toll even though I already paid via my own EZpass account. Called and they were utterly unhelpful.
