Rental cars right now are hard to come by! Many carriers have sold off a big chunk of their fleets. Many companies have furloughed or laid off workers due to covid so be kind to your rental agent when you go in. Also it might take you a little extra time to pick up your car due to staffing. Please remember that when you step up to the counter. With that side note being said I have had a great experience with this Hertz location. We had prepaid for an suv and when we got here only a compact car was left. They told us they had an suv coming back and that they would call or to stop by and we could swap it out. Stopped by early the next day and they had the suv ready to swap out. While some people would be upset by this mix up you must understand my first statement. I could not find, nor did I receive a formal recommendation feedback email from you, but I am leaving this on Yelp, in hopes this recommendation gets to proper management at Hertz. First of all, Cody (branch manager at 850 Seagate Drive, Naples, FL) is outstanding.  He was personable and a great representative of your corporation.  I believe he has a strong future there----AS DO TWO OTHER EMPLOYEES I met when I returned the vehicle after a several day rental. The first was "Jake" who manned and managed the checkout.  He was superb.  Obviously, he is well trained under Cod's tutelage and Hertz management.  The second is "Mac" who is a transport driver who provided my company a minor service upon our returning the vehicle---but, his professionalism and attitude were outstanding. All of these professionals deserve bright stars ahead in their futures at Hertz.  My company hopes this office is open well into the future, as it was missed when they had to shut down for Covid. Terrible, rude, and dishonest "service." I went in to Seagate branch to rent a compact car and was told they didn't have any available. The next customer was told they didn't have any mid-size cars and he'd have to take a compact. I explained to him what I was told and we told the manager to switch our rentals. Overall an unnecessary terrible experience for me, and the Hertz Corporate Headquarters is only 30 minutes away! Gold Membership isn't worth much. read more

I drive a truck. A huge, massive, absurdly large truck of the Dodge variety. It's too big for Miami by far, but I'm enamored with the idea of riding above traffic - always able to see what lies ahead. Hence, I was certain that I'd be annoyed cruising around in an itty-bitty sedan all weekend, while my ride was being repaired. I was so wrong. The Chevy Cruse Hertz set me up with was a zippy little guy. It was so easy to speed around the streets of South Florida. Easy to park, easy to accelerate, easy to maneuver in and out of lanes. ;) While the service was a little slow at the rental counter, the dudes were helpful. And I couldn't beat the price. $52 from Saturday morning to Monday early afternoon?! Unlimited mileage? Sweeeeeet. This location is being remodeled, so you have to enter through a side door to get into their temporary office ... but it's not so easy to find, and is labeled as an art gallery, so I had a little trouble initially. But I got there, eventually. One other minor thing: the car hadn't really been cleaned after the last renter - there were some wrappers and stuff strewn throughout. But I still have to give them four stars given the great price and friendly service - plus the choice of car (which was apparently somewhat of an upgrade from what I was paying for). Thanks to this experience, I'm ALMOST considering switching to a sedan. Dare I do it?! Time will tell ... read more

It's no wonder this company is failing. Manager at this location could not care less. Doesn't even pretend to care. Some of the worst customer experience I have ever received. Took 2 weeks to return a simple phone call, at which point the manager told me to call the 800 number as he was completely unwilling to help. Called the 800 number, waited on hold multiple times after explaining the issue, and even then they simply "put me on hold" again (aka hung up on me). Then I had to call back and start over. All for nothing. They stole my money and are making it impossible to get it back. Shameful fraud of a company. read more

Bro...reserved through Travelocity and got insurance. When I got to the counter they tried to make me get even more insurance and wanted to raise the price almost double what I booked. The manager started talking over the salesman I was working with and was talking to us like we were stupid when we asked why they didn't know anything about their third party insurance. I finally said I had enough and went across the street to Enterprise and they are worth the few extra dollars. read more

This location provides horrible customer service. My rental agreement said to return the car at that location on a given day at a given time. The location was "temporarily closed" at that time. I left the car, but there was no drop box for the keys so I kept them with the intent to mail them in. The next morning, the location called and threatened substantial fees unless I returned the keys immediately. I used a friend's car to drive back to the location, but they still charged a late fee even though the car was there on time. Unreal. read more

I rented a large SUV for three days and are being charged an additional fee because I am bringing it back at a different time then selected even though it is within my three days. I rented it at 5:30 pm, I should be allowed to bring it back by 5:30 pm like any other car rental company without a charge. This was a first. Make sure you know ahead of time what your day will be like otherwise you will pay a days full rental PLUS a misc. fee. They lost a long time customer. read more

I never thought I'd write a review about a rental car location or company, but I also never thought I'd end up in tears from a host of rude, incompetent, customer service personnel (I know you have to take my word for this, but I rarely cry unless it has to do with my kids!). I went to use a gift certificate for my car rental. The woman I returned the car to said "I have to close you out here, and then they'll adjust it in the kiosk" and pointed me the way. When I got to the kiosk they said "Sorry, you have to use your certificates at drop off. Now that your account is closed, there's nothing we can do." I explained that I was following the instructions of THEIR staff, and they said it's out of their hands. Since I had a flight to catch, they suggested I call customer service. I did. You can imagine how well that went! I spoke with 4 reps after being elevated time and time again. They all said they couldn't help. Not only that, they were all incredibly short and rude. How can you hire managers who have no ability to make concessions for a loyal customer (who is in the right) b/c your "system doesn't allow it"! I work for a tech company and that's technology at it's worst. Not to mention customer service at rock bottom. I know most people will just rent from whichever spot is cheapest or gives them the most miles/perks, but I can honestly say I'll NEVER support Hertz again and I urge you to look elsewhere as well. read more

Hello, my experience was horrendous! My car needed to be fixed and I had to go to this location to rent a car. The man behind the counter asked for my card and drivers license and then began to swipe my card. I asked him how much I would be charged and he said 50$ deposit, but overall seemed unsure. I checked my account and I had been charged more than twice this amount. I called back to get clarification and I guess the same person acted unsure. Later the charge was removed from my account, but now more than a week later another charge appears on my account. I see that this Hertz location called but did not leave a message. I have no idea what is going on at all and cannot call because they are closed until Monday. I have no money so I notice when something is out of my account. These are awful business practices!!!! Obviously they could care less if they take your money and cannot or will not specify the charges. Rented a minivan online and went to the store to pick it up. I was told I was early (30 minutes to be exact). I was told my minivan will be ready at 11 AM. I asked if I can have a different vehicle, perhaps one of the four Nissan SUV parked outside. The answer was a big NO. I was told to come back at 11. Having dealt with rental cars before I asked if they have the vehicle I ordered or they gonna offer me something else so I don't Uber myself two more times back and forth. I was assured it was 20 minutes away. I left the office and twenty minutes later I got a call telling me that the minivan I ordered is not going to be available and will I be happy to take one of their SUVs more precisely a Nissan SUV ,basically what I asked before I left the store. Finally an hour and three Uber rides later I picked up the car and left. The cherry on top was four or five hours later when I got phone call from the store asking me if I'm going to return the car. I drop the car at 8:30 PM dropped the keys in the box and left. At 2:30 Am my Amex was charged another $100. Definitely never going to use them again read more

Never thought renting a car during summer would be more expensive than in season. Matt and Zachary were very nice and apologized for not having a car when we arrived, even though we had a confirmed reservation for a mid sized car. The only car on the lot was a two seater Mercedes, which we could have gotten for the same price but with 3 people , two suitcases and 2 carry ones it just wouldn't work! We had to wait while Zachary drove the Mercedes to Naples airport. The Hertz there had a Nissan Rogue on the lot and Hertz swapped cars. I only gave Hertz 4 stars because of not having a car for us and having to wait about 25-30 minutes. Because of the inconvenience , we got our gas comped. Matt and Zachary get 5 stars for their attitude and customer service. We would use this Hertz again. read more

I was very disappointed with the customer service at this location. I signed up for the prepaid fuel option, however, it was not fully explained to me when I signed up for it. It was explained that however much was needed to fill the tank I would be charged. Makes sense... they'll fill up the tank for you and charge you the cost. Upon return of my rental, I was charged for a full tank of gas even though the tank was half full. I explained that this policy was not fully or clearly explained to me at the time of pick up of the vehicle. I asked to refuel the tank myself at a gas station down the street and was told I could not do so. The manager offered no discount and took no responsibility for not explaining the option clearly to me from the beginning. Hertz needs to improve their customer service and training of employees. This is the type of service that prevents customers from returning. read more
