I returned the car after 2 days and 21 hours and they have repeatedly refused to refund me. I have called customer service and been told I breached the contract I signed! I didn't ever sign one! They were so busy they couldn't get us out the door fast enough. I was spoken to very rudely and every time I tried to speak the CS person kept talking over me and repeating the same terms of "Breach". She then told me I was charged ONLY $318.00 a day when my Original reservation was for $500+ for the entire 7 days. The Customer service team is useless and reads a script and the Fast Break desk tells you whatever they need to shove you out the door. I was rented a beat up old Yaris ...the tire blew in Melbourne. AAA changed the tire and said it was defective and I could have been hurt if it had been a front one at high speed. I decided to swap the car out at the Melbourne Airport. Sherry was awesome. She took care of me, no questions asked and upgraded my car. I was lucky there wasn't a line... I think that helped. Yes, I would rent a car from Sherry again...Would I rent from Hertz? Not sure. I rather pay extra in another rental company that will be fair and honest than giving my money to a company that takes people's money because is the only way they can stay open. The only reason why I rented from them was because it was easier for our dealership that was fixing out Denali to get all the paperwork on time. But, I told the advisor at the dealership that I would never use this company ever again.

I called and was told the runners hadn't returned any keys but they'd call if they were found. My husband returned to the airport less than 30 minutes after drop-off and was told essentially the same thing, with the rep saying she believed the runners were already gone for the day. Thankfully, he found one of the runners outside, who immediately knew which keys he meant. The frustrating part? The runner had already brought the keys inside to the same desk where my husband had just been told no keys had been turned in! I understand they're not responsible for lost property, but good customer service would at least involve making an effort to help, especially when the item had already been found.
