DISCLAIMER: I am a Hertz #1 Club Gold member who rents approximately 20 cars a year. Your actual results may vary. This Hertz Local Edition has been great to me, and while there are some definite disadvantages to renting from them they will not impact many people like they do me. I've rented several times from this location either to one-way a car to the airport (try getting any other transport to the airport at 5am for less than $130!) or for my closer business trips. The employees have been very helpful and accommodating. Their cars have always been clean and usually been mechanically sound. However, there are some definite downsides to using a small location like this. They have a very limited selection of cars. I picked up my rental for another trip to Wichita and there were only 4 total cars on their lot at the time, my full size, a SUV, and 2 compacts. This really is only a downer if you need a car and don't have a reservation as they might not be able to accommodate you. For business travelers that HATE some cars (Taurus, PT Cruiser, HHR, etc) this can be a serious inconvenience, but if you let them know in advance they will try to get another car from Denver. The only other downer about using this location is that they don't have access to Hertz's Prestige (Audi A6, Volvo S80) or Fun (350Z, Corvette) collections. Overall I give them 4 stars because of the wonderful service they have provided, but they lose a star, through no fault of their own, because Hertz doesn't let them have the better and more fun vehicles in the fleet. read more

Absolutely a joke!! Had a reservation... showed up and doors were locked. Waited over an hour with others (and many that left) and once the ladies returned, they stated they had to do an insurance claim for someone else. Long story short.... RUDE LADIES!! Tried to rush us and when I opened up our contract I noticed our bill was over $175 more than our reservation and we're going to be charged .30 per mile for the week. Car is in such bad shape and making horrible sounds we have to turn around to exchange! read more

Hertz Rent A Car - Two rude ladies - Car Rental Near Me - Longmont, Colorado

Th whole experience besides the Loveland store having to come to Longmont to help me has been horrible. Lynn from Longmont store yelled at me and refused to listen to me and kept telling me I need to contact my insurance. Which I already did and insurance said no but Lynn wasent listening. Karen the manager apparently stood next to Lynn and listen to her fight with me because Karen said she was the through the whole convo. Allot more happened. When I dropped the vehicle off they said I smoked in it and it was covered in dog hair... allot more happened I'm just cutting it short read more

Worst possible service, I scheduled a pickup for mom and dad ( who are 80year old )at 9am and no one showed, so I called the office and Kevin answered and was extremely rude about it, said he won't even pick me up and it's on me to get find away to there and even if I get Uber there , they cant reimburse me for the fare. Next day return the car ask for ride take them home , he flat out said no and kicked mom and dad out the shop, made them wait outside while waiting for Uber to pick them up. Will not rent from hertz again read more

Over a month after I returned the car I was charged an additional $163. I was told to contact their customer support number for a refund for the extra charge. I got disconnected more times than I can keep track of and would have to call back and re explain the entire situation again and again. I have been waiting to get my money back for 3 weeks now and still nothing. I've tried speaking with a manager a few times and am always told they are unavailable but that they will take down my number for a call back. No one ever calls back. read more

The Longmont Hertz staff are super helpful and friendly. Their cars are always clean and decked out with nice features. Rather than buy a new car ourselves, we've been renting from this location when we want to step up our ride or rent a larger vehicle to haul around friends. We'e been very happy with the level of service and the dependability of this Hertz location. read more

Horrible place to rent a car. So nice renting the car but being charged an extra $300.00 for supposedly smoking in it. I haven't smoked in 20 years. No signs of ash in the car but road spray from the small rains we had on the door jam. Good luck if you ever use these people. The manager is rude and quick to throw you out when you are laughing and explaining your case then mocks you and wonders why you lose your crap on him. Unreal. First time I used em (usually enterprise) LAST TIME!!!!! Wish I would have read more reviews before renting from them. Even if your desperate,,,,, don't do it unless you got more almost double the quoted and agreed price read more

Love, love Hertz. Booked a weekly rental for a business trip in Fort Collins, however due to spring break, no cars were available in Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland or Boulder. I called this Longmont location and they said they would have a car available. I called the day before pick up to verify so that I'd still be able to book somewhere else if needed. I told them I needed a guarantee since it was for business. They assured me that they would in fact have a car ready. And they did. It was a very productive trip and I was very pleased with the car provided. I will definitely book through this location again. read more

I decided to rent a car rather than put mileage on my car to go up to a wedding in Breckinridge last weekend. I paid extra to have their insurance cover gaps ($65+per day on top of rental fees) and paid for the fuel option where I could return the car without having to fuel it up. First thing I requested was to drop off on Sunday, but somehow this location isn't open on Sunday and I was told very sternly by a grumpy lady that I was going to be charged for the rental on Sunday even though I'd be dropping off the car at 8am that morning. I was ok with this and signed a bill that said I would be charged $445 with around $40 being returned once I returned the car. I check my bank account today and find out that this woman has charged me over $545 and now she's not answering any office phones nor returning the messages I have left. So to those reading this, save yourself the trouble and DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. UPDATE: 10/16/15 the lady called me and told me that her record shows the car being returned on TUESDAY, not Sunday like I had told her very clearly. I dropped the car off and put the keys in a drop box before the 2pm Bronco game SUNDAY afternoon, and this scammer is trying to tell me I dropped it off on Tuesday!! Absolutely infuriating and after the phone call I have no idea if I'll ever get my money back!!! Outrageous DO NOT EVER RENT FROM HERTZ read more

Last July I was in a small fender bender. The accident was the other people's fault and so I used their insurance to book a rental car for a few weeks while mine was repaired. The problems with Hertz started right away when I reserved a car in Boulder and then showed up to pick it up and they didn't have one available. I thought it must be a problem at that particular location, so I moved my reservation to Longmont. The agents there seemed friendly enough at first. I was told that they would drop the car off to me at the location I got my car fixed on that Monday so that I could still be to work on time. They did say they were busy and would let me know if they couldn't be there on time. I needed them to be there at 8 to make it to work so by 810 I was calling to inquire where they were. I was told they were really busy and couldn't have someone out to me until 10. So now I am stuck with no ride and have not made other arrangements because no one ever let me know ahead of time. They were supposed to drop off a Nissan Rogue, full size since my car was a Lexus and I was supposed to get something somewhat comparable. Instead when they did show up arond 1130 it was with a Nissan Versa or Leaf or some such small, bottom of the barrel car. Not only did they not bring the correct car but it smelled exactly like dead fish inside. I actually popped the trunk and looked under the seats to see if someone had left anything like that in the car. I had several questions for the guy like why did you bring this car and several things about the rental agreement and he knew nothing. I then contacted the local office with my frustrations and was told maybe I could buy an airfreshener! So unprofessional. I then contacted a Hertz regional manager, he listened to my complaint and said he would follow up with the local branch right away and get back to me. That was the last I heard from him. Lastly, a few months after I had returned the car I got a toll bill for over $100 from Hertz. Even though I have my own toll pass, I was billed a 50+ fee for just using theirs, even though there is no option to take it out of the car and use your own. Nothing was ever explained to me about the way they do tolls and when I once again contacted Hertz about the incredibly bad service they said they had nothing to do with the toll and could do nothing. If you want a company that is stellar at doing nothing then this is the company for you. I had not written a review before now even through all of the problems I encountered because I do not like to bash people or businesses, but this toll is the last straw. Please save yourself the trouble and go with anyone else but Hertz for your rental needs. read more

Had a reservation set up with this Hertz location a month prior to the pick-up date. Arrived at 8am to find no one in the office. After an hour of waiting for someone to finally answer the phone, I was told that no cars were available. Great customer service, Hertz! You just lost a customer for life. read more

These folks are great, always accommodating, professional, honest and fair. I will go to them every time I need a vehicle.

I wish I would have made the walk two doors down to Enterprise and paid the slightly higher rate. In the end I would have paid less. The reservation process was okay. Nothing went terribly bad, but also nothing that impressed me at all. The car also was mediocre. Not bad, but not impressed. The return however was the reason for the low rating. I kept the car pristine, however I had my small 25 lb dachshund mix in the car one time over the two days I had the car. When I returned the car, the agent asked about a small amount of pet hair on the seat. Figuring it was no big deal and would just be vacuumed (something I considered doing before returning but again though it was no issue) I told him straight forward that she was in the car once. I was immediately charged a $50 cleaning fee (more than it even cost for the rental) no further questions asked. I understand there's issues with allergies, but this was a 3 minute cleaning, max, and should not have gone beyond the standard cleaning I would expect to be done between rentals. I have to rent a car again next week and will not be returning to this Hertz. read more

We love Hertz, we used to go with another rental company and they changed their policy and you have to jump through more hoops so we switched, and we are glad we did. The staff at Hertz is very friendly and helpful. I was surprised that they picked me up. It was just one more thing that was very needed in a rough time, we had no car at the time. The day we rented we needed to drive quite a ways to pick up a car we bought from a private party. I didn't have a ride to pick up the rental, I was going to walk to Hertz, Linda told me "no need to walk, we can pick you up" I was so relieved. Hertz rocks. Thank you. read more
