    I rented a vehicle on Thursday (05/05/2022), upon receiving and during "the walk around", I pointed…read moreout a damage on the left back passenger side, representative said, it's known and noted don't worry about it, it's part of wear and tear and known. On Saturday (05/07/2022), the "engine light sign" came on, I reported this to customer service, as the branch was closed. That same night, me and my wife got pulled over the police on our way back home and were questioned about the vehicle. I was told that the license plates on the vehicle were expired since September 2021!!! After contacting customer service again, the next day (05/08/2022, I was advised to go to the Detroit Airport branch (which is 1.5 hours' drive). I filled up the car and drove to the Detroit Airport branch for the exchange on Sunday (Mother's Day). At the Detroit Airport branch, after waiting for hours, I was told the vehicle could not be exchanged as there was a damage that was not reported on the vehicle. This is the same damage that I pointed out when receiving the vehicle. I made the representative and manager aware that this is a prior to receiving damage and it was noted. They checked the system and told me that it was not noted and the only way an exchange could happen is if they file a claim on my insurance and I pay the deductible which I was not going to do as this is not my fault and the damage was pointed out and confirmed by the branch, I picked up the vehicle. At this point I called back to customer service and was advised to wait at the Detroit Airport branch as a regional manager would contact me to resolve. Hours of waiting later, I had not received any call back and I decided to go back home. On Monday (05/09/2022), I had to take time off from my work to go to the branch to exchange the vehicle. The vehicle they gave me had a crack of at least 7 inch in the windshield, however, as I was in a hurry to get to work and this was the only vehicle available at that point, I took it and went to work. However, after discussing and showing it to my wife, we both did not feel safe driving this any further due to the added risk factor. When I contacted the branch again and told them about the crack and requested to be given a safe vehicle to drive. I was told to just keep driving this as there was nothing they could do. When I spoke to the escalation team member, I was told that "if I am not satisfied with the service, I should return the vehicle and go with another rental company". I want to believe this is not the level of service and experience Enterprise strives for. I was given a faulty vehicle (one with engine light issues and one with a cracked windshield) twice! ... while one had almost 1-year expired license plates. I have tried to reach out to multiple team members, customer service, branch... but no one seems to be able to help and everyone just ignores the issue. I have been promised that I will be contacted by a Regional Manager on 7 different occasions now but so far almost 2 days!!! later, no one has contacted me. Any other normal rental company would've resolved this issue in minutes if not hours and provided me an upgrade for all the inconvenience caused, however, at Enterprise, I have been made feel ridiculous by multiple customer service team members and the branch people and I have had to argue with multiple people so that I can get switched into another vehicle but without any success.

    -- A Complete Corporate and Location Failure. Never Again…read more I will never rent from Enterprise again -- and I urge anyone considering this location specifically to look elsewhere. This disaster didn't start at this branch. My reservation was made two months in advance and was mishandled by Enterprise's own customer service representatives -- not once, but twice. Each time, I had to call back to have it corrected and reconfirmed by Enterprise's customer service team themselves. I was escalated to the corporate team on two separate occasions and was told I would be contacted. Three weeks later -- still nothing. Enterprise Corporate has completely ignored me. Then came the final insult: I drove 40 minutes to this location to pick up my reserved premium SUV, only to be told it wasn't available. Manager Sara's solution? Offer me a minivan at the same premium rate for my premium suv. No discount. No apology. No accountability. When I declined to pay a premium price for a downgraded vehicle, she refused to adjust the rate -- full stop. I expected a manager to apologize, problem-solve, and make things right. Sara did none of that. She was dismissive, unprofessional, and combative from the start. When I asked to speak to someone above her, she told me she was the top of the chain and that the owner -- who apparently runs this as a family-owned branch -- was unavailable. "Family owned" is supposed to mean personalized, accountable service. This was the opposite. I then asked for Corporate's phone number so I could seek help myself. She gave me the wrong number -- twice -- while I stood there trying to reach someone, anyone, with a trip planned and only hours to spare. Her final response? "I'm not renting you anything." She refused to rent to me entirely. I was left standing there, stranded, with a reservation, a trip about to start, and zero support from this branch or from Enterprise Corporate. For the record: I did find my premium SUV at another Enterprise location. Sara does not get the satisfaction of thinking she left me without options -- but the damage to my time, stress, and trust in this company is done. To the owners of this branch: your manager is actively turning away paying customers with reservations, refusing to problem-solve, and providing false contact information to prevent escalation. She is costing you money and your reputation. I hope you are fully aware of the shots she is calling in your name. Enterprise as a whole: three weeks of silence from Corporate after two escalations is inexcusable. This level of disregard for loyal customers is exactly why you lose them permanently.

    Oh gosh, where do I even begin!…read more My boyfriend's mom reserved a car for us here despite my hesitation. And for good reason! Check in was easy, and we ended up with a Chrysler 200. The car itself reeked of cigarette smoke. Even though I thought it was supposed to be a non-smoking vehicle. I could be wrong. And it was way too cold to leave the windows open to air it out. So, yuck. Our first day with this car was okay... howver, we started hearing some really weird noises coming from the brakes on the second day. But it progressively got worse every day we had the car. My boyfriend heard a loud dripping noise while I heard a howling noise coming from the back. And then we heard a crackling sound in the middle. It was not good. I called on Friday afternoon to let them know our situation and that we would be exchanging the vehicle the following day. Darren was challenging me, and was telling me that the brakes were just fixed last year... but we know what we heard... and anyone else driving next to us, or down the block could hear. He told me that they were not open on the weekends, but he would call an auto repair place for us to get it fixed... What a pain for us, the customer, to have to deal with... especially while we were on vacation and had way better things to do! Come on... That is the last thing we want to be doing on our vacation! We were on limited time but we obliged anyway since we did not feel safe in this vehicle. I confirmed the name and address of the place he wanted us to go over the phone and told him we would go the next day. So before even having breakfast, we went to Sterling Heights Auto Care where Darren told us to go saying that the repair shop dealt with Rent a Wreck often. But when we got there they had not even heard of him. And they told us to go to another location to check there. When we went, that shop was closed on Saturdays. We called Darren and he was surprised that they did not know who he was and that they told us that they had never dealt with their company before. So we were pretty much stuck with this car in which the brakes were so bad, we were scared to press on them! The day that we were supposed to turn in the car, it snowed. So we tried the windshield wipers for the first time... And it was just pretty much smearing the snow from side to side... And after my boyfriend wiped off each blade thinking there would just be ice attached to it, was still doing it. They were just really bad blades. When we finally go to turn in the car I asked to speak to Darren but all the lady said was that he was there. But never actually got him. Whatever. We just wanted to get rid of the vehicle. After all of the trouble that we went through, we did not once get an apology or any kind of compensation for our trouble. That is not the way you want to run your business. Never renting a car from here ever again! You never know what you're going to get. And what we got was a complete lemon. .

The…read moreother guys wouldn't rent to me (out of state ID, low limit credit card) but here I was able to get my much needed rental. I much prefer to support a small business owner than the big corporation anyway. The rental car wasn't super clean or perfect but it got me everywhere I needed to go with great gas mileage and no problems. I appreciate them takin the extra time to help me get my rental so I could visit family and get to my gigs
