I reserved a car here, but upon reaching the desk--they would not rent to me without proof of full personal collision insurance. They would not accept any corporate sort of insurance and it had to be personal collision. Most credit cards, including mine have up to a 50K insurance policy on rental cars when paying with the card and I've never had any issue with any of the other car rental companies. They refused to rent to me, which was annoying with the time spent + wasted trying to get a car. Reading some of the reviews about the deposit is a bit scary too, but hopefully I was not charged with anything. After not being able to get a car from them, I just went to Budget and had no issues getting a car without any proof of insurance necessary. To their credit, the person working the front desk counter seemed nice and offered me a bottle of water, but their company policies are shady at best, deceptive and predatory at worst. read more

Do not, I repeat DO NOT rent a car from these people. They rented us a car with a flat tire, we took it back to them after not even driving off the lot, they filled it up. Next day we wake up and its completely flat so we call them and they tell us to fix it ourselves, so we called AAA.... we then spend 4 hours at a tire shop for them to get the correct tire that this joke of a company wanted, so they put it on. WE had to pay for it mind you and were informed that we would be reimbursed. This was in September it is now March and we are told they are refusing to reimburse us saying we didn't put the correct tire on. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever dealt with honestly. They literally have the worst customer service and an overall crappy company. You've been warned. read more

Rented through Priceline. Rental was out of Fort Lauderdale. I was disappointed to find that office was not in the usual rental area on the airport site. I had to take a second shuttle to their office. It took over 30 minutes to get an agent to assist me. Finally I got my vehicle which did not have a working a/c outlet. There were also some shady stains on the driver seat. What ruined my trip was the fact that they do not provide 24 hour shuttle service as my flight was at 6am. Thus I had to call a cab and wait in the middle of nowhere. Almost two weeks after my debacle, I just spoke a second time to an agent regarding my $250 deposit. She apologized. I was attracted to the price, over the bigger name brands. Thought I'd give it a shot. The minute I got to the counter the agent treated me like less than a human. Interrupting to get the next keystroke for his software input. I asked to be sure I could add liability insurance since I have my major credit card LDW coverage. He told me they don't sell anything BUT LDW. And if I don't buy it I cannot rent a car. Well I needed liability but not LDW and it was nearly midnight. So I complied. DO NOT RENT YOUR CAR HERE and DO NOT USE PRIME COLLISION/ Mark 1 Collision. They are scammers. They gave me a rental and waived my deductible to pull me in. When I picked my car up, the bumper has a space between it, it barely turns left, the brake goes to the floor, the horn is hoarse, amongst other problems that I didn't have before the accident. Also, they asked if they could detail my car which I later found out meant to put a few things in grocery bags, vacuum, and steal a fendi hat, change, and THREE weed pens. Now it was my responsibility to remove valuable items so I'll take that loss, but fix my damn car correctly! When I asked to bring it back in, I was told that all of my damage came from before the accident which is completely false. They also told me that if I wanted to bring my car back, I must have an adjuster with me and pay the $1000 deductible that they waived. Also, mark, whom I guess is in charge had me drive down (I was ot) 3 hours only to tell me it would be ready 3 days later... oh and the desk girl Heather has no customer service skills whatsoever and attempts to tell you about your cat and discussions that you've had with staff that she was not around for. Picking up the rental car at Detroit Airport location on Wick Road went somewhat smoothly. I'm writing this review to express my huge disappointment about Executive Car Rental Customer Care department's lack of responsiveness. On a rainy day when I returned the rental car, I forgot to retrieve my prescription sunglasses which were in the compartment between the front seats. I've been calling and sending emails for the last five days and I have yet to hear from them. I was also promised my $250 deposit to be refunded within 3-5 business days, I have yet to see the refund show up in my credit card account. Reserved an Executive car on priceline for pickup in Tampa on Oct 31,2018 When I picked up the car I was told I had to leave a $250.00 deposit. I was told this would Not be charged to my credit card. The car had stains on the seats and the Windows on the inside wear dirty. It looked like someone used a dirty rag and left it to dry. I returned the car Nov 7th. I was charged the deposit and the rental fee. It is very difficult to reach anyone by phone. The phone rings and rings. The time someone answered, I was told they needed to put me on hold. This car rental company is the worst company I have ever dealt with!!! The Orlando office is counter in small bus depot and they only a couple of cars. I had to wait over 45 minutes at the airport to get picked up and then another 30 minutes at the rental office to get my car. The seats in the car I rented were extremely dirty and the car itself was not in good condition. The tire light was lite the entire period of the rental. They take a $250 deposit and indicate that the deposit would be returned to your credit card in 5 to 10 days. A month and half later I had to call the company to get my deposit back. I see on Monday if I actually get it back. They also have a policy regarding tolls that have to take the sunpass or you be charged $20 per toll plus the cost of the toll oh or you could take not toll roads which would have added over an hour and half to my trip each way. So I spent $50 for the toll pass and went through $8 worth of tolls. Nice way to scam money from your customers. Do yourself a favor and don't rent form this company!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I rented a Jeep 5 weeks ago today and entered I-94 off Middlebelt at 3 AM on a cold snowy night, got rear ended by a Dodge Ram pick up truck speeding on Black Ice road conditions 5 Minutes after I left their lot. Returned the Jeep in 15 hours with minor bumper damage and Executive charged my CC $1000 Collision Deductible and GEICO informed me it is Only $500. 5 Weeks Today and no damage estimate yet, no one answers the phone in Claims / worst customer service on the planet and I would Never rent from This company again Bad, bad, terrible service. I had cosmetic damage after an accident on my drivers side headlight area, took my car to this shop was given an estimate of 3 weeks for repair. They then offered me rental service, cash only claiming their card machines were down. They had the car two full months, ignored my phone calls and emails the entire time I could only get through sometimes by calling the receptionists personal cell. They claimed that they were waiting on a part, and then they said they had it and we were waiting on paint, then again they were looking for the part. All the while charging me cash for a rental through them. They also told me they'd cover my deductible and then wouldn't release my car to me when it was done until I paid it to them. In cash. No receipt for anything. Since getting my car back nine codes have popped up with my check engine light, all major mechanical issues I didn't have prior. Of course they are still not answering so I will be taking legal action. To make it all better the cosmetic fixes they did make are done very poorly. Still Waiting! On October 3, 2018 I returned early a four day un-damaged car with a full tank of gas to Executive Car Rental location on Wick Road. Car was inspected an accepted without any problems. Like others I am still waiting on my $250.00 security deposit to be refunded. I have tried communicating with this location to no avail. I have turned this matter over to my credit card company for their assistance. I even canceled a future reservation with Executive Car Rental in Orlando due to this stalling situation. Next step will be to try getting some help from DTW Airport Authority and Michigan Attorney General's office. Stay away from this location. I rented a car to be picked up at Tampa airport. I reserved a full size car and got a mini van instead ! at the time of my return on Feb 28th, even though I knew where to go the signage was so bad that i had a hard time to get there. After i finally found the booth The attendant insisted that i make a loop and drive in from the proper lane but again there was no clear sign and the narrow corridor they wanted me to drive into was marked with hash marks usually seen on no driving pavement. Very frustrating and confusing. The car was clean and the attendant apologetic but he made me do it the way he wanted ! read more

Great prices.... if you get your deposit back and don't let them force you into buying their insurance. My car insurance is an a++ company and I have full coverage with all the bells and whistles. After the guy couldn't get me to buy his insurance, and the line behind me got long enough, i was given my car. It was dirty on the outside (i don't care), it was stained seats on the inside (i don't care), it was 3/4 tank of gas. I walked back in with photos of the car, to ask that the damages be documented on my paperwork. They said the photos i took were good enough to protect me from being charged. After i returned the car i was told i would receive my multi hundred dollar security deposit within 3 days. 45 days later i realized i hadn't received my security deposit back yet. I called. The lady acted like my scenario was unusual and referred to it as a glitch in the system. They said it would be reviewed and i should get my deposit within 3 days. I read reviews of this company before i made that call. This is a game the company plays with every rental customer it would seem. Enough people must forget about the deposit, or feel like its not worth the fight to recover. I asked the lady about the reviews. She told me, that was just people that destroyed their cars and angry that they didn't get their money back. The whole setup was sketchy. I called my credit card company immediately after and explained the situation. My card had the money back on my account immediately. They received money back from the rental company a month later. Said deposit of $250 would be refunded within four days of returning car. Couple weeks later it still was not. Called TPA office, spoke to Coleen, she sent email to corporate, said I would have it in a few days. Not a chance. Called back a week later, spoke to her again, she emailed while I was on the phone, said requested refund ASAP. Okay, for some reason, the Executive Car Rental in Romulus near DTW Airport is not on Yelp, so I will write a review for the Warren location. Went in to get a car and worked with Zubair "Z" and he was awesome! I initially dealt with a sales guy at the front desk, who wasn't so good, but Z stepped in and took care of all my needs and worries. He got us a Dodge Charger and honored the agreement that was made over the phone to me from two weeks prior to our trip to Detroit. Z was understanding and made sure we were happy with our car rental. After seven days, we returned the car without any fuss and the experience was great. This is a horrible company. I got a rental car through my dealership and executive car rental was the company they used. They said I had to put down a 100 dollar deposit. When I returned the car sept 27,2018 I didn't receive my deposit back. I have been calling and every time they say oh it was a problem that week with system so the money wasn't returned but it will be back on ur card within 2-3 business days now it has been 30 days and still no return on my deposit. Everything you see on here about this place being a scam is real and getting back your deposit is a myth they feed you at the time of pickup. I dropped off my rental car 3 weeks ago and i have spoken to about 6 different people who have each notified me that "[They] will process my order to the billing department and the money will be back in my account by the end of business day" except they never do and the money isn't back in my account. They won't let you speak to a manager/billing department because they are "not in the office right now". So basically, they give you this hope that the person you're speaking to will be the person to help you this time, but they're all scammers. UPDATE*** have email receipts from their "customer care" apologizing for their unsubstantiated claim in regards to us stealing the spare tire and to expect a full refund of the deposit however they are unable to give proof of refund and said to expect 30 days for refund to appear, it's been past the 30 days and still no refund. Upon reaching out to company to check "status" of refund, we no longer received a reply. This company is a SCAM. If I could rate this car rental as ZERO stars I would. My Mom and I went on a Mother/Daughter trip to Tampa and decided to select Executive for our car rental. After waiting 30 min to check out we proceeded to meet Walter to inspect our vehicle. He had us take pictures of the exterior to note any damages prior to acceptance of car. While doing so, Walter proceeded to place our luggage in the trunk for us. After we reached our air B and B later that day and took the luggage out, we noticed the spare tire in the trunk was missing. Upon returning the car, Michael the check in guy, pointed out the missing tire which we assumed Walter checked off on his form. Little did we know how wrong we were. Michael and his manager presumed to accuse my Mom and I of stealing and selling the spare tire as Walter's form shows the tire was there the whole time. They could not pull up the car history for us but required us to sign a form closing out the car with the missing tire and us accepting we returned the car in this state or we would be charged. Accepting the car without the spare tire increased the security deposit to 500.00. We were told to fill out a claim form and we would receive email of the claim and a rep would reach out to us. It has been a week and we have heard nothing. We have called numerous times and are only able to leave voicemails and emails as no physical person will answer the phone. Not sure the purpose a mother/daughter has to come all the way down to Tampa to steal a spare tire but how we were treated as well as the lack of customer service to respond to our claim are completely inadequate and insufficient. Renter BEWARE! Made reservation for a rental car in Tampa location. Reservation included unlimited mileage. Arrived at counter and was told I had to deposit $2000 on my credit card until I returned the car. Said my credit would be issue 2-3 business days after return of car. Upon return of car, I received my receipt with the proper billing amount but no deposit credit. After 5 calls, I finally got a $1900 credit over 2 months later and they shorted me $100 and stated I exceeded the 100 mile per day limit. I've rented cars regularly for 40 years and Executive Car Rental is the worst experience I've ever had with a rental car company. They are deceitful and their customer service is terrible. read more
