I received a call from Dorothy at hertz corp who advised State Farm stopped paying for car as of 7/4. I advised her the car was dropped off to the repair company on 7/3 as advised by hertz Richfield and was told it was ok by inver grove collision. On 7/8 a charge for 333.12 and a pending charge of 125 showed up on my account. Called 7/9 and spoke to Michael at Richfield hertz location who advised another location picked up the car on 7/8 and charged from 7/4-7/8 in error. He also said that I would get a credit of 55 showing a return on the 4th. Asked him if the $55 was coming off the actual charge or the pending charge and I wanted to confirm the total amount I should have been charged as should only be 20% for 10 days so about 84.48. He said he doesn't have the info on what I'll fully be charged only what I'll be credited and advised I had to call the hertz billing number. He was extremely rude during our transaction. read more

Used based on my auto insurance recommendation while my vehicle was in the shop. I would've preferred closer to my residence, but that's irrelevant. I started the reservation through the State Farm app the night before. The next morning when I called store location they had my reservation. I requested a ride from home to Hertz for the rental pick up. The lady said they were short staffed but would work on a solution & I shared my timeline of availability. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I don't think in my 45 yrs, as a 23 yr D.o.D veteran, with 3 post graduate degrees, that I have ever been so profiled and targeted upon race like I have at this car rental establishment. We acquired a Tesla 3 upgrade and was canceled by Hertz, stating they no longer had the availability. Okay, that's fine, over bookings happen. Then I proceeded to get booked into a full-size car, definitely not the full-size elite we ordered but somehow was charged more. When I came in to pick up the vehicle, we were denied services ABRUPTLY, stating they didn't take "our kind of credit card" NOT DEBIT , FDCA VISA CREDIT CARD , when I asked to see the policy 4 times, I was told it wasn't her job to "prove to me anything." I mean, if I was 60 something making 15.00 hr, I wouldn't have the AUDACITY to speak to someone with a disrespectful tone. When I proceeded to place my platinum, black & diamond credit cards on the counter and my 6'3 black husband came in to see what was taking so long, she said it has to be the same card on the reservation. WHICH WAS THE INITIAL CARD, THEY SAID THEIR POLICY (UNFOUNDED) DIDNT ALLOW. They waited until I left,never canceled my reservation, and IMMEDIATELY CHARGED THE CARD "THEIR POLICY" STATED THEY COULDNT TAKE... FOR A NO SHOW CHARGE!!! I got a call from there corporate office, following up to make sure I would be stopping in today to pick up a vehicle. I arrived 5:40 twenty minutes to close. Then waited in the lobby for 15 min for some one to come out and great me. The manager than walks out and starts the conversation with we're closed I left you a voicemail because someone at corporate has you in the system for a pick up. She then tells me that they have no cars available oh and that she doesn't have enough people to clean or other wise...I then said, I can stop in tomorrow, she told me nope it will have to be Monday because we don't have any cars? Looking at the lot there are clearly cars the selection was very small but still. Overall a terrible experience. Would absolutely not recommend coming to this location. read more

My initial car had bald tires AND i paid extra to have a SUV. Returned it to a staff that had attitude as per previous review people. Really sad as I am a GOLD member. Rented car due to issues with my own car. State Farm recommended going thru Hertz. LAST TIME. Repairs for my car have gone long.....and every week I get the threatening calls on having the rental out. DO THEY WANT TO REALLY RENT CARS???? I rented a car from Hertz in November. The car was returned and paid for. Two months later I noticed that I had been charged a second time for the rental. I verified that the original charge had been processed in November. I then called the local Hertz office where I had picked up the car. They were unaware of the second charge and couldn't explain it. I reached out to Hertz main customer billing department and was told they'd need to investigate. It's now been five days since they started investigating and three days since they last responded to me. They will no longer communicate with me. No one can explain why I was charged a second time, when or if they'll issue a refund, or why they retained my credit card information and charged me without any notification or receipt issued to me. read more

Worst rental car experience ever. Waited in line for over 30 min only to find out I was living in a Seinfeld episode where they know how to take the reservation but don't know how to hold the reservation. No car and only option given was pick up truck. Said I could take the pick up truck to get started and trade it out later. Lol. Then when I pressed them about having no vehicles I find out they have some high end vehicles available they just don't want to rent it to me because I am not paying for it. When they agree to give me the Tahoe I find out it's not clean and no gas. Car is filthy and smells. What a joke. They did agree to discount my rental and cover the gas. I have rented from Hertz for a long time but mostly from airport locations. When I rent at the local locations the experience has always been sketchy at best. read more

I bought a 2017 Nissan Rogue from Hertz. A few months later, during a routine oil change, the mechanic found the driver side steering gear/tie rod needs replacement. The 12 month/12,000 mile warranty does not cover this. The warranty company Hertz uses is Fidelity Warranty Service and the person I talked to over there was short and rude as well. I then called Hertz and they said there is nothing they can do. All in all, not a fun (and very expensive!) experience in buying a used car from Hertz. Avoid them, or risk buying a lemon, and know neither they nor their warranty company will do anything for you. read more

Super flakey and unprofessional. I reserved a car, drove to pick it up. They were very cavalier about the fact that they did not have a car.

They do not have a variety cars. I'm Hertz President's Circle the top-tier elite status offered by the Hertz. The car that they give me was dirty on the inside and outside. Obviously the local manger didn't seem to care all that much. Even thought I expressed my unhappiness with car and she wanted me to get an upgrade car so she can charged me more money $80.00 to get another car. I had a great experience at Hertz. Mike was very friendly and accommodating. It's a small place so they don't have a lot of cars but when my car wasn't available I got a small discount and a gift certificate for the next rental. I would definitely go back! read more

This is the busiest Hertz location in the metro, but the staff will make you feel like you're the only customer in the place. I received outstanding service from Cindy and Hunter. Very pleased with my car and the whole experience. Hertz Richfield is where you want to go for your next rental car! read more
