When I arrived to their office, nine sharp, there were people already waiting in the office. Unfortunately there was only one staff member and four or five people in front of me. I've rented from this place for years and I've never had a problem until today. The one staff took his sweet time with each customer before me. I think he was just trying to sell them on a couple of add-ons. Whatever he was doing, it was a super slow process. Finally around 9:30-9:35'ish, a second staff finally shows up, but she also took her sweet time talking with one of the car preps before coming up to me to sign me in. She gave me a cheap smile and we were shown the car. By that time, I was livid and told her to skip the walkaround and give me the damn key and sign the digital waivers. In either way, I never made it to my destination because it started raining halfway there and I was already exhausted and frustrated from driving. Even with the rain, we could've shaved off a good twenty-thirty minutes from the trip had they got me on the road in time. So if you're reading this, thanks for nothing! This was one of my personal days that I had to waste and figured I could spent it at some Ren faire all the way down in CT. Such a waste!

He agreed and said he would speak to his boss and would provide a $50 discount. NOT great but better than nothing. Never saw the note in the docs they sent me. They applied a $30 credit with no explanation or apology for not honoring the credit agreed upon. FYI - If a customer smokes anything nevermind a cigar in the vehicle, a $400 cleaning fee is charged. NEVER AGAIN. I am sure this was not his fault but WAKE UP bossman! This location needs some help.

According to Hertz, their policy is that a week is 5-7 days. This is absurd. When I asked both the local and the national office to point me to a place where that policy is written down, no one could provide me with an answer. When I asked for a two day refund, I was denied. When I asked for the car back, they said the contract was closed. I could have kept the car for an additional 2 days at no extra charge. UgggggggggH! This is addition to the bullshit Vehicle Licensing Cost Recovery fee that they don't mention until you pay your bill. It is added to the quoted weekly rate. It 9.02% of the total charge. It's the definition of a junk fee. One last thing, when I called the national office they kept repeating the same line. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. There is nothing we can do." It didn't matter what I said, they just kept repeating that line. I could have said 'It's raining today." and she would have said "I'm sorry for the inconvenience. There is nothing we can do." I asked to talk to a supervisor and the woman told me she didn't have a supervisor! OMG!

One example: I called someone else within the company to ask a question, and the next morning Nicole called me at home and yelled at me for speaking with anyone but her. I was severely chastised for about 20 minutes. I could hear that she was afraid that others in the company might see her as "uninformed", and I could also tell based on a previous conversation that she was taking her anger at someone else, out onto me. I did not appreciate being called while having my morning coffee in peace, and being dumped on like that. At the end of my long relationship here, (about $15,000 later), at the 11th hour, Nicole extended my rental without my permission, authorized funds in my bank account I didn't approve, and was avoiding my phone calls. This was done to cause me harm, stress and worry. I had finally been able to buy a car. Nicole did NOT like this. I suggest Avis find another representative to work at this office. I do not see things ending well with this one.

Then I get a call an hour later being told there's no cars and I'll have to find a different location, though they didn't think there was anything available. I asked if they could call for me and find out what locations have cars available as if I have to rebook through the website it's clearly not accurate and calling to book results in a 5% surcharge. Was told that's not her job and she's leaving soon anyways and has other things to do and I was wasting my time talking to her when I could just call myself. Ended up calling Brockton location and they were able to honor my reservation . Despite the convenience of the hanover location, will be sure to book elsewhere when visiting family and friends, as we do frequently being a military family stationed on the west coast.

This was hands down the best experience I've ever had and it's not even close. I showed up and was immediately greeted by Jonathan Meehan. He was professional, courteous and direct, he introduced himself as Jon, shook hands and made solid eye contact showing he was involved and I wasn't just another customer. It's the day after thanksgiving and he immediately asked how my day was, intently and sincerely unlike most people who deal with customers all day. The conversation was unforced and engaging. He thanked me for my service twice, and couldn't have been any more welcoming or respectful. The guy has upper management written all over him. Not a doubt in my mind If I was an unhappy or disgruntled customer he would have been able to easily and fluently articulate, counter and navigate a conversation argumentative in nature with minimal to no confrontation. Being enlisted in the military you are forced to talk and work with a lot of people. My job is to literally evaluate subordinates on qualities including courtesies, professionalism, communication, and Jonathan is what I try and teach my employees to act like and project to the public. Today's visit to Enterprise and this single interaction put them atop of my list of rental car companies.

I was responsible for a $18/day charge for insurance, which was fine. I had the car for 3 days, dropping it off on Saturday when enterprise was closed. I get a message this morning from Enterprise (from a blocked number, and with no return number left) saying "the final charge will be $347.00 for the 5 day rental." I called them back, after looking up the number since they didn't leave me one. I explained that I had the car for 3 days "Oh, well we were closed Saturday, Sunday and yesterday so we logged the car as back this morning." Then I told him that Best was paying for the rental and should only be charged ~$60. He said he'd check with his manager. I then called Best to let them know and they promised to straighten it out. I will never use this rental agency again.
