I chose this location because of its close proximity. My car needed some repairs today so I booked a Camry for today's outing. When I arrived to their office, nine sharp, there were people already waiting in the office. Unfortunately there was only one staff member and four or five people in front of me. I've rented from this place for years and I've never had a problem until today. The one staff took his sweet time with each customer before me. I think he was just trying to sell them on a couple of add-ons. Whatever he was doing, it was a super slow process. Finally around 9:30-9:35'ish, a second staff finally shows up, but she also took her sweet time talking with one of the car preps before coming up to me to sign me in. She gave me a cheap smile and we were shown the car. By that time, I was livid and told her to skip the walkaround and give me the damn key and sign the digital waivers. In either way, I never made it to my destination because it started raining halfway there and I was already exhausted and frustrated from driving. Even with the rain, we could've shaved off a good twenty-thirty minutes from the trip had they got me on the road in time. So if you're reading this, thanks for nothing! Customer phone service is extremely frustrating. After being put on hold for more than 30 minutes listening to all the Enterprise marketing, I gave up. I have tried calling this branch several times in the past and experienced the same issue. Also had a problem with a bad smell in one of their previous rentals. Made an exchange. Went there with a confirmed reservation, booked directly through Enterprise. I am a frequent car renter. That said -------- I am very familiar with the process. Typically Enterprise is my favorite BUT My experience with this location left me speechless. If I could give them no star, believe me I would. This place literally trains their employees to scam customers out of as much money as possible. We had to rent a car through them because we were in an accident that was no fault of ours. Our insurance told us to come to them and we picked up the car and they wanted to charge us for "extra insurance" in case the car was damaged. We opted out of that because our insurance told us it was unnecessary. We were refunded and on our way. Came time to return the car, we filled up the tank and even detailed it. Was still charged $60 for "in case there was damage". No fucking damage was done to the vehicle. I do not suggest anyone to go to this location. Maybe it's the company. But I don't even want to chance that ever again. These people should really have their job title as "Professional Scam Artist". Fuck this place. read more

Get the insurance! Save money! I rented a nice car for a family visit. On my way home, I was forced to hit a barrel cone on a narrow two lane highway renovation due to poor placement and a semi truck inching into my lane. The damage, while minimal, is in need of care. While I did get the insurance, I want to thank the entire staff (all of whom helped me) as well as Sean for being kind and understanding of my predicament. Having rented from other rental companies such as Green Motion, I know how tricky rental business can be towards customers. I will never rent from Enterprise again. As bad as an experience as could be imagined. I reserved a vehicle on May 3, 2023 for a vehicle in November for my wife and to I to drive to DC for a wedding. In the weeks prior to our reservation ( 3 day reservation), I called Enterprise Hanover branch, to confirm and check availability. I was told that we could pickup the vehicle any time after 2:00 PM on November 9, 2023. I received a call at 2:40PM on November 9, 2023 from Enterprise employee Ninoa Helai stating that she had rented our reserved vehicle and asked if I wanted to make a new reservation for the following day. I explained that we needed to leave that afternoon in order make it to the wedding in DC the following day. She stated that there are no other vehicles available and refused to honor our reservation. I can't conceive of a more unprofessional experience that I have ever had. Helai never even apologized. I will never rent from Enterprise again and hope that others become aware of this lack of professionalism on behalf of their employees. Helai should learn what the definition of "reservation" is. Helai also lacks common decency. read more

I rented a car from the Hanover location last Sunday while my car was in the shop. The Cohasset location which is close to where I live has limited hours. The person I spoke to said it's a satellite office and couldn't accommodate me. Picking up the vehicle was smooth except the car stunk of cigarettes and had cigarette burns on the seats and interior overhead. When it was time to return it yesterday 5/21/21, I called to see if I could leave it at the auto body shop. The woman Katelyn said they would give me a ride. Great. I left work and was quickly checked out by Megan. When I mentioned the cigarette smell she said all their cars smell like that. She then said I was all set. I said I was told I could get a ride. She said Enterprise doesn't give rides. I told her I spoke to another woman who said it was just resumed on Thursday. Megan says I didn't talk to her and not true about rides. I said I have no way to get back to Hull. She said they wouldn't give me a ride to Hull even If they did provide rides. It's too far. She said she would call me an Uber. She also said I could drive the car back to the auto body shop but that would cost $200. I called my sister who was working but was able to pick me up. In the meantime Katelyn came back from lunch. She said she spoke to me and yes they just started giving rides again. Megan was off on Thursday and didn't know this. Terrible customer service. No apology from Megan. Katelyn was very nice and professional. Not using Enterprise Hanover again. read more

I chose the location where I dropped my car off, but I picked up at a different Enterprise location and my comments apply to both shops & the company as a whole. My car was in for 3 weeks of body repair, during which I had two rental cars and a brief loaner from my dealership. Of the bunch, Enterprise was by far the best to deal with, and they'll be my first choice from now on, any & every time I rent. I feel their pricing and fees were overall the most fair of anyone I dealt with, and the staff at both locations were very professional and courteous at all times. The closest thing I could cite to a negative was a minor wheel balance issue on the car at highway speed, but I have no way of knowing if the previous drivers of the car had ever reported that to Enterprise. I did inform Enterprise by phone about this and they were perfectly willing to exchange the car outright for me with no further questions asked, but ultimately I decided that I didn't have the time & could live with it for the week seeing as otherwise the car was in excellent repair for its mileage. (At turn in I also found out that the car is very near the end of its time in the rental fleet, and at the rate I was charged I can accept that.) Overall, I'm quite pleased with the rental experience & wish I had gone to Enterprise in the first place, and if I ever need a rental again I'll go right back to them. read more

My car is at the Collision Center in Rockland so Enterprise is the car rental company that was called. The rental car is a mess, dirty on the inside, burn hole on the seat, the rear view mirror is shattered and the best is the car has a big R on the inspection sticker. I needed to rent a car last minute to drive out of state for a death in the family. I went to Hertz first as I am Gold Hertz Member, I realize it was last minute but this is the second time they were unable to assist me without downgrading the size of the car or upgrading to a more expensive model. I called Enterprise even more last minute and not only were they able to provide a mid-size car in my price range, but when I booked it through Expedia the price was better than Hertz. When I picked up the car they couldn't have been more helpful, even Charles adjusting the price when I told him it was quoted and confirmed by Expedia lower than what he had said. Dropping off was even easier, Hannah was extremely pleasant and thorough. Thumbs up to customer service, which is a rare thing these days....will now always use Enterprise!! read more

I should have posted this weeks ago - but I want to get this done now. My wife had to get into Boston to work on a Saturday morning for a work presentation in June (2017) and she woke up to find her car mechanical issues and we'd need to get her a rental to get into town. I took her over to Enterprise but we didn't realize the office didn't open until 9. We saw someone in the office and when he saw us, he opened the door and we explained our situation. Even though the office wasn't open, the manager (Joe Perrotta) told us not to worry and helped my wife get a rental right then. He even helped us with the pricing as they work with Lexus in Hingham and we got that rate (we did get the work done there). It could not have been a more pleasant experience and Joe was incredibly helpful. My wife relaxed and got to her presentation on time. That kind of service deserves a shout out. read more

Had an awful experience today at Enterprise in Hanover especially with the 'manager' Brandon. Was using a different card that I did have with me and they wouldn't accept the card numbers told me they needed a crypted swipe (which I totally get) so Brandon knew I was leaving to get the card and coming right back. As I came back and they then told me that the card had to be in my name OR the person had to come sign which was a pain when he knew I was leaving to go grab. Why not say something before I just traveled 40 min to get the dang card! Ended up going with Avis/Budget rental and they got me right into a rental no hassle! Trying to reach this place is nearly impossible. Arranged to have a car from them while my car was in the shop. They picked me up from the collision repair shop but when I arrived I was told they didn't have a car for me. I asked them why they would come and pick me up and bring me to their location if they didn't have any cars for me. Seems crazy. So after calling a manager, they got a car for me but said it was an SUV. It was a Ford EcoSport, smaller than an average compact car. I took the car but then they called and said I would be paying an additional 189.00 for the car because it wasn't an economy car. I explained that I had arranged for an economy car but was told they didn't have any... I assumed since it was their mistake I wouldn't be charged extra. So after three weeks in this tiny car they call to tell me they would be charging the extra to my credit card and that I needed to have the car back to them. I explained the situation to the manger, Katelyn and she said there was nothing she could do and then suggested that maybe the auto body shop could pay the difference... Nice! Let's put the problem on someone else. Needless to say I will never use Enterprise again and caution anyone thinking of renting a car to use any of the many other car rental companies available. I've alway used other companies for car rentals and have never had to deal with this. By the way, the car computer system, ie .. the radio, navigation and phone connection would freeze at least once a day so couldn't be used until the car was shut down and then restarted after about an hour. Sometimes that would fix the problem and sometimes not. I didn't really care until I realized they were charging me extra but by that time it was too late to switch the car out for a different one. read more

Rented a car for almost two months. The people I worked with at the Hanover / Pembroke Mass. office were very helpful. I have to say my main complaint about the cleanliness of the cars of which there were three. The first car a Hyundai had broken windshield wipers the second car a Ford Focus was the worst driving piece of crap ice ever seen and the third and final car a Chevy Cruz smelled so bad of smoke I thought I'd be sick. This car had two (2) no smoking stickers on the dash. The car was not clean. I kept it because at this point I was totally frustrated. read more

In case you need to rent a car, and you complete an online reservation with Enterprise Car Rental, it could be meaningless. My car is in the shop for most of this week, so I rented a car via their online system. When I arrived to pick up the car, they were like, sorry, we didn't get as many cars dropped off as we expected, so we can't help you. Simple as that. I asked why they didn't call or email me to let me know, the response was, "well, we can't call everyone. We don't know who's actually going to show up." No offer to make things right. Nothing. I wrote a great review for this Enterprise branch last year, however, management has changed at this location. Due to the treatment I received from the new staff, I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again!! After renting a vehicle for 1 1/2 years, the new branch manager doubled the weekly rate for my rental. I notified her personally that there was a death in my family and I ended up having to keep the vehicle for additional days. She proceeded to call and have her staff call me 1-2 times a day demanding that I return the car although she knew I was mourning a family member. Rented a car as my car was being repaired, long story short the auto body company didn't inform me my car was ready for over a week and my insurance stopped paying for the rental, I was left with a $300 fee for the extra days on the rental. After going back and fourth with the body shop and my insurance company nobody would budge and pay for the rental even though I was never informed. I called Enterprise and they could not have been more understanding and helpful with my situation. Not impressed with the nickel and dime approach......car was not provided with full tank of gas but was returned near full. They saw it as an opportunity to charge a little extra. They need to think more about customer service and getting the next rental or word of mouth referral. Enterprise just dropped off my car rental list. They promised me one car (SUV), yet had another one (Sedan) ready. They promised to pick me up at 8:30, and didn't show. When I called at 8:35, they said they were "on the way" but picked me up at 8:55, (their office is 7 minutes away from where they were picking me up). They said I would have to wait for the correct car to be cleaned. I said I didn't have time for that (they had already wasted 1/2 hour of my time), so I asked if I could drive another car to my office (less than a mile away) because I couldn't wait. They said that would be fine, and that they would switch the cars later that day. I never heard from them. I went back to their office at 5:10 PM to ask why I got no new car, and they said they were "swamped" and "shorthanded" (neither was my problem), and that they had given the car I was promised to another customer. They told me they would call me back the next day with a new car: no call yet, and it is 12:40 PM. This is not the first time I have had a problem with these people. It will be the last. This is customer service at its worst. I am not asking for anything out of the ordinary, and I am certainly not asking for excuses. The fact that Enterprise is too cheap to hire enough people to service their customers is never the customers fault, and these people should be trained to never say that they were "swamped" and "shorthanded" to a customer. All I asked for is to be given what I was promised, and they failed to do that at every single turn. read more
