This location is for Uber/Hertz Rideshare only. Been renting here for over a year. At times there is a line but other times I'm in and out very quickly. I found that emailing the office is the best way to get a hold of the staff since they don't have time to answer phone calls. read more

Hertz - Hours of operation - Car Rental Near Me - Denver, Colorado

I don't leave reviews typically but this is an exception. I have rented cars all over the country for many years and this place is by far the worst. Doesn't deserve 1 star. There's zero sense of urgency or concern for the customer at this location. It is an embarrassment for a company like Hertz to have an office so poorly run. When I voiced my concern at return - the young man checking my car tried to add a $250 cleaning fee to my rental -- 100% bogus. read more

Come on guys this is the most incompetent group of guys ever. It don't matter if there's 2 customers or 20. You are in there for 5 to 6 hours. They don't care. Hertz office needs to end this group and put in a team that cares. Poor management. All they do is sit in back room and talk to each other for hours while there's a room of people. Rudest people ever. This needs to end or end your regional manager. Everybody leaves here pissed off. If these guys represent your company you should just shut down hertz right now. So bad. I've been with you guys for 7 years I'm done with the abuse. I will pay a little more and go to a is. Where they care and no matter how many people are in there your in and out within 30 mins. Don't ever fall for the trap of this location. read more

worst experience ever. i rented through uber. do not rent for uber!! i was stranded with a dead battery and had to tow it at my own expense in the mountains. then while charging the car to take back to rental agency, 50 miles away, to fix there own fuck up with billing they reposessed it while charging with my wallent inside. no wonder their stock price went from $35 in 2022 to $2 in july of 2026. i look forward to you company's demise. read more

Rideshare is my full time income again. I was renting with Lyft and returned it to come to Uber/Hertz. I had a reservation with Hertz but they didn't have any cars. They had a Tesla coming in in a few hours but my reservation didn't mention Tesla as one of the options and I don't want that car. I'm going back to Lyft and will not rent here ever. read more

Nothing in their Google result will tell you that this rental car location is ONLY for Uber rentals. I was sent here by an insurance company while my car was in the shop. I went during a snowstorm - because that is just the kind of day I am having. Due to the snowstorm many places had employees call our. None of the rental car places could pick me up. It was incredibly inconvenient and the staff was completely unhelpful. read more

The worst customer service. The people don't care. Appointment mean nothing. Avoid this place

I would give Hertz Corporate, and this store, negative 5 starts if that was an option. I had a reservation set up by insurance. I couldn't use it until the car was due to go to the body shop. I got 2 phone calls a week from the store, and from corporate. I would call back, and YOU CAN ONLY TALK TO CORPORATE. There is no option on the phone tree to talk with the person at the store that called you. All the same, apparently they don't talk to each other. I would talk to one, and the other would call me a few days later. I talked to someone again, and round about the same. I finally got it set up for them to pick me up at 9am today at the body shop. No one showed. I called and finally got to speak with someone at the Aurora store. I spoke with BRITTANY. She was rude as hell right out of the gate. She told me they don't have my car, and they don't have my reservation, and that they would never agree to pick someone up at specific time, and especially at the distance I was. I got transferred to the Englewood store. No one there would answer. I called again with no answer. I got on the phone with corporate, and spent another 30 minutes on hold, and got told that they do have my reservation, but they would have to escalate the issue and someone would call me. Ultimately, I was able to call my insurance company and they got me a reservation with Enterprise. Enterprise came and got me and took care of me before Hertz called me back. In order to make this right, they told me they would have the vehicle ready and I could come and pick it up. Like I would waste more time after they made me miss one appointment, and made me late to another. Hertz, you know who I am, and you know how to reach me. If you want me to remove these, reach out and make it right. read more

There's only two people who actually work here. If you pick up a car mid day prepare to be there for a few hours. Took 3 hours to get a rental car even with an appointment. read more

Expect to wait hours for any roadside service, don't use any of the electric cars aside from Tesla if you intend to drive for Uber or for any notable distance. Especially avoid Kia Niro cars, 1hour to 1.5 hour charges are the norm with 200 miles range per charge. This standard is assuming you don't use a heater, don't drive on highways, don't accelerate fast enough to not be rear ended, and assumes you aren't driving in areas with vertical incline. All of which are standard for Colorado. No spare tire is provided. This service is not worth $330 a week or any other price available. read more

The gentlemen i've had the pleasure of getting help / the rental car thru have been incredibly helpful! Got a fantastic Comfort + car for ubering. Even when Uber knocked me out for no reason at all, they went to work to get my car back onto the app. And got it fixed! Highly recommend if renting thru a rideshare app to go here. read more

WATCH OUT FOR THE MANAGER WATCH OUT FOR THE MANAGER WATCH OUT FOR THE MANAGER This location is not worth going to, purely because of the manager John -He's asked for credit card pictures on unverified phone numbers -screamed at customers when a deal HE made was something he became unhappy with -refused to give out any corporate info to file a complaint -allowed an illegal transactions to be made due to lack of care for his position -caused a 5 hour wait time by overworking his workers while he left to go home read more

After my car was in a small fender bender, no fault of my own, I was told by State Farm that they would be covering my rental car from Hertz while my car is in the shop getting fixed. I had a very poor experience right from the get go. I showed up to pick up my rental and the manager is scrambling around unprepared. He started off our conversation with "we have been so busy I don't think we have a car ready for you". Although I called and reserved the car 2 weeks prior and showed up to pick up the car when I said I would. Then after waiting 30 minutes for them to get their sh*t together finally they had a car ready, which now made me late to work. They couldn't print me out a copy of my rental agreement and said they would email me which of course never happened. This shop is SCAM CITY!! I was told by Hertz when my car was finished at the shop to just leave it and they would come pick it up. Cut to 2 1/2 months later I see a $200 charge on my credit card. I call customer service and they charged me for a towing charge. In addition they said I didn't return the car with a full tank of gas. Both of these things are a total lie!! After customer service did a little research they found that both charges were bogus. I honestly feel like they try to charge you for some BS charges just to see if you catch it or not (I'm sure they make hundreds of thousands of dollars this way). Giving Hertz the middle finger and won't rent with them again! read more

This place is a joke. They schedule you and then make you wait 3 hours for your "dirty" car. Unbelievable. We will never work with this company again. And the people who work there "too bad so sad" attitude is disgusting. Never have I ever dealt with such incompetence! While waiting for our car I heard the manager Josh talking crap about my husband and how we didn't follow their process even though we did exactly what they told us to do. Wow.... Just wow. read more

Hertz - Car Rental Near Me - Denver, Colorado

This review is about Hertz. Not Susan and the good people trying their best who work there. I give Susan 5 stars! This enterprise has become Rent-A-Dent. I rented for several months in 2019 and it was a very different experience. Better car fleet - lower rates - etc. Now - with the bankruptcy and no cars this is a colossal joke. This location is too small for the amount of business they do. Also - don't fall for the Tesla scam - you'll be a slave to uber (nothing against Tesla) Beware and be advised read more

These guys get completely undeserved shit reviews. Hertz as a company may leave a bit to be desired. The staff at this branch are lovely and amazing people. I had some SNAFUs renting a car through Uber. Susan and Jim went above and beyond to smooth out the bumps. They are nice people who want to help you. Just treat them with the respect they deserve. read more

Turned up to pickup my reservation and was told that they had no car available. I had this booked 3 months in advance! After 2 hours of arguing with Chris and his colleague I was given a broken/damaged car that had been in an accident and was told that I could not drop the vehicle off at the destination on my reservation and that it had to be returned to them, 50 miles away from where I needed to end up. Their regional manager never called my back after complaining to Hertz directly. Completely ruined our vacation. Disgusting service and will never be using Hertz ever again. read more

Hertz - Hertz - signage and entrance - Car Rental Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Worst customer service and maintenance on vehicles. Showed up today for a Rent to Buy service offered by Hertz for test run on a car purchase. Called Thursday to ensure car would be ready assured by Sales rep car will be detailed and ready. Show up this morning hour past opening and the whole location looked closed lights off everything. Fine move forward with rental and sales person can't find reservation and keeps saying it's due to it being on other sides part of the company. I hate when employees use this excuse your one company if you don't know what to do get someone who can help. 30 minutes later we walk out to see the car mind you this is a rent to buy car that we were assured would be detailed and ready. Less than half a tank of gas and dirty with so many scratches and dings that immediately I am like I am not buying this car. Sales rep turns on the car and you can hear no tune up done on motor sound like it's been rode hard and put away wet. So we were about to tell the representative we were not going to take the car and he is gone and swamped with 6 other customers immediately and left by himself as sales team members walk in right past customers with not so much as a smile for customer service now 2.5 hours past opening. We drove the car around the block and knew the engine was struggling and not maintenance on a regular basis. We drive back to Hertz get the same sales rep from the rental side and has no clue how to assist on a car return. Speak to his supervisor Kyle on the phone who is not on site and no help just a bunch of sorry. Then the car sales supervisor walks by rude as all hell and says they don't want it no big deal. Wow this is the car sales supervisor you must move a lot of cars with that attitude. Don't waste your time with Hertz I would not rent a car from them forget about buying a car from them don't trust these clowns. read more

The day of rental pickup today July 3 , 2019 ( I was to drive across country ) they leave a vm to say they extended the rental of another car and have no car for me . I called back directly the response from "Chris" ?he didn't like my tone and if I didn't sound nicer he would not look for another car and would cancel my reservation. I called customer service and was told they had a rental at 3 x my previous rate . This is the definition of extortion. After calling and emailing corporate they were also unable to fix this outrageous scenario because it's a holiday week. I was told the policy is to allow renters to extend their lease without any thought to reservations or stock of available cars . I warn EVERYONE do not USE HERTZ and whatever you do do not USE this location. read more

State Farm arranged a rental from Hertz for me while my car was in the shop. This location was the closest to my house and the shop so my first car came from this location. Yes, first car. But more on that in a second. The gentleman who picked me up at the shop was very friendly for first thing in the morning even though he had what I thought to be an overpowering amount of cologne on. We got to the office, which is currently being remodeled and we went through the rental process. If that was the end of this, it would have been a 4-5 star review. Unfortunately, as I drove to work, the cologne smell didn't go away. And lingered on me at work, giving me a headache. As I started to drive home, I realized the smell wasn't the agent but was in the car and rolled down all the windows while driving down 6 on a chilly night. We attempted t air out the car in the garage overnight. It didn't work and, as I drove to work the next morning, made the realization that the smell seemed to be coming out of the vents. So when I got to work, I called the office to request a replacement. I was a bit put off when the agent asked, "Oh the smell is bothering you?" Like he knew about it before renting the car. That bothered me, and it bothered me that they were less than helpful in finding me a replacement. I had to call around to get one. It also bothered me when they called me asking where my car was being repaired because it wasn't at the body shop that I took it into get repaired at. After I was done panicking, I called them, it was there. So two stars. Honestly I was tempted to give them only one, but I can't complain *too* much about a free service provided to me while my car was being repaired. That being said, while I don't rent cars often, I definitely won't choose Hertz in the future. I usually go with Enterprise or Avis and I'll continue to do so. read more

Stay away from these clowns. In an industry which reeks of rip off and huckesterism, these flim flammers truly take the cake, and the bakery too. Forget about the sterile atmosphere, these soulless clowns that populate the management ranks, in a better world, would be doing twenty to life for grand theft auto. The manager, can he be over the age of twelve, Gerad, is an obnoxious liar extraordinaire. I went there on a insurance claim and here's the scam. When they tell you the car costs a certain amount per day, be sure to ask what the real cost per day is, otherwise, you'll be headed for sticker shock and awe upon the return. Your insurance company will pay a certain amount per day but the boys at Hertz will do their best to get you into a car that exceeds that amount and then obfuscate the real price. I didn't even sign any documents; they just have coupon from the insurance company and send you on their way. When I complained I was never told of the costs and they couldn't produce any documentation to support their claims, they resorted to all manner of idiocy. When I tried to address this with the "manager", he insulted me, lied, and hung up on me and I hadn't even begun to tell him what I really thought. He referred me to his boss, the blind leading the blind, who refused to return my calls. Ultimately, I had to fight it out with the help of my credit card company. I wouldn't use their autos if I was spun out a mile away from the finish line and hours ahead of the next driver in the Indy Five Hundred. Their management team would surely be waiting at the finish line with a freshly sharpened guillotine. You're better off thumbing it to your next destination! read more

Our car is in the shop for repairs (thank you very much to the schlub who took out our door and side panel :-() Our favorite auto repair shop, Addison Auto (see 5 star review) arranged for us to have a rental from Hertz. The Hertz rep met us at Addison with a new compact car for only $17/day. They also include a full tank of gas at only $1.50/gallon - wish we could find that deal around town somewhere. They made the process easy and fast. Thanks Hertz. Hopefully we won't need this service again anytime soon... read more

I've had very poor experiences renting from this Hertz location. The worst incident was when they offered to give us a free upgrade, but the new car was in horrible shape - the interior was filthy and looked like somebody had wiped their boots all over the seats. We had to come back and let them know that the car condition was unacceptable, and were given another car. Somehow they didn't record the switch properly because for weeks afterwards I was badgered by Hertz billing calls trying to collect money for damages to the car that we didn't even rent. Huge hassle and waste of time, all because apparently they can't keep track of the condition of their cars and who actually rented them. read more

I'm a youth director at a church. I rented a van well in advance to take my kids on a youth trip. Hertz called 2 hours before I was supposed to pick up my rental and told me they couldn't find a van anywhere (even though they had PLENTY of time to locate one or tell me one wasn't available), so I cancelled and scrambled to find a different vehicle for the weekend. This rental car location was by far the worst experience of my life. Upon showing up was told that I was given a call that they did not have the car available but yet never received a call. Was told the car that was pulled for our reservation was up for service and they could not give it to me then the power goes out in the building they were not willing to work with me and try and get a car from a different location and quite frankly the customer service of this location was absolutely the worst customer service I've had in any industry in my entire life. This place made my day! Which is saying a lot for a rental car agency. My car got totaled the night before on 25 by a driver that spun out of control on the snow. It's always fun dealing with police reports, insurance agencies and the logistics behind everything in these situations.... but this hertz was a bright spot in my day! I spoke to 3 different employees when I arrived and each of them were very pleasant, professional, helpful and efficient. I might be biased because they ended up finding me an SUV..... but I do think this is one of the better rental agencies I've been to. Thanks! Keep up the great customer service! read more

I was supposed to be renting a car to go on a trip, showed up to pick up the car for them to tell me they were out of cars. I had made a reservation in advance to avoid this problem. They told me they didn't have unlimited cars like the airport does and the only thing they could do was call me IF somehow a car became available. I told them that wasn't going to work for me considering I was supposed to leave town the same day, and one of the men just sat there and rolled his eyes. They knew they were not going to have any cars when I arrived and they didn't so much as give me a courtesy call to let me know what was going on. I wasted my time! I just left and took my business else where. I would not rent from this disorganized, unfriendly hertz. read more
