I've used moving trucks from this location twice over the past couple of years. (Look for a discount code online though, I was able to get a deal both times.) The trucks and service here are standard. I'm not a fan of their "overfill' policy with the gas. I was told to not only fill up the tank until the pump stopped, but to then continue to fill it beyond that to ensure the needle is showing beyond the "F". They also require that you fill out paperwork about whether or not your personal insurance covers damage to their trucks. Pro tip: it probably doesn't, so don't bother calling your insurance company, I did it already. read more

Genuinely in shock as to how I was treated by at this location by "Hazim". The lady who helped us pick the car up was wonderful. The car had no problems whatsoever either. It was the drop off where the issue ensued. Not 15 minutes after leaving I receive a phone call stating the car "reeks of weed" and that I will incur a cleaning fee. I rented this car for a whopping 30 hours FOR WORK! He was putting his hand up in my face when I tried to speak, continuing to claim that the car reeked but refusing to go out to the car with me. I would not recommend EVER renting from here just at the chance of dealing with this individual. I really hope the store/regional manager sees this and makes some change with this employee. read more

I reserved a car for August 6-10 and they called me before my booking at 10 am to let me know they did not have a car for me. The car they needed to give me they had not returned it and did not have any cars. Terrible service the person who called was so rude, did not want to answer any questions. Till this day they did not call back. Never book from this car rental. read more

I have never experienced worse customer service. I reserved a truck several days in advance and received a call 45 minutes before the truck was to be picked up advising me that they did not have a truck for me and that I could call the customer service number to see if another Location could help me, but that there was nothing that this Location could do for me. When I asked her to help me find a Location that had inventory. She told me that she was busy with customers and that she would see what she could do when she had time. I was in a Lyft on my way to pick up the truck but was left high and dry. Thankfully, U-Haul came to the rescue and I am getting a truck from them! I will never use budget again! read more

Reserved an economy rental with Uber rental and paid $60 round trip for Ubers to pick up the vehicle only to be told that they didn't have any vehicles at the quoted $175. Instead the person tried to upsell me to a minivan or full-sized sedan for double my quoted price. Such a scam! If they were this sketchy with the reservation, there's no telling how sketchy they'd be with the other parts of the rental process. Beware! read more

Budget - Car Rental Near Me - Englewood, Colorado

Carla, who works at the front counter, is one of the rudest individuals I have ever dealt with. I had mistakenly rented through Budget instead of Avis, and instead of helping me, she was more focused on pointing out that I was wrong. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in, was respectful, and assisted me. When Carla butted back in, I politely asked her not to, but she continued. When I asked if I could rent once a check was completed, she gave unnecessary information just to prove I was wrong again. Her attitude quickly turned passive-aggressive--she laughed at me and walked away while I was still speaking. On top of that, as I was providing my address and phone number, she interrupted to "correct" me before I even finished. This type of behavior--mocking, dismissive, and more interested in proving a customer wrong than helping them--is completely unacceptable. read more

Had an appointment for 3 o'clock showed up on time older guy shut the gate when I got there and said we close at 3 no care. Rude older man

Warning to renters: Budget charged me $450 for "cleaning" after returning a car at JFK in clean condition with a $0 receipt. They refused to provide proof and billed my credit card anyway. Dishonest and unfair practice -- avoid renting from Budget. read more

OMG. Legit the worst customer experience ever. First, landed at Denver to move my daughter. Reserved at 12:30. Took an uber and got there at 12:40 and was scolded by the attendant for being late. Literally told to hurry because she had to leave at 1 and I should have been on time. Then upon return, the attendant claims I need to file a report for a window chip. Who knows if it was there before, but I walked around with the attendant and she surely did not check with windshield. Myself aside...scolded two other people while I was returning my car. One for being 14 min late and one poor guy whose car was towed with a blown at tire and she wanted to charge him $500 for not leaving the keys w the car. Renter beware. Shady and rude! read more

Worst customer service ever!! I've never been insulted like this by someone who is supposed to be helping me. I was sent here by another store and this guy was rude from the moment I walked in and refused to help, he just insisted that I was lying about being sent to his store and just said I needed to call corporate. Worst experience ever!!! read more

Worst rental car experience I've ever had. They said they did not have the car category that I reserved online through Expedia. Would not accept my valid drivers license nor my company issued Visa card. Asked for additional IDs which I had multiple credit cards in my name. Horrible customer service. Would never step foot in this location again. Very poor customer service skills at this location. Having to Uber over to a different rental car agency close by to get my vehicle. read more

placed a reservation through booking.com an hour and a half before we came to pick up the car. they inform us they don't have the car we reserved, they can upgrade us for an additional $70, not quite right but ok. they were rude the whole 15 minutes we wasted there. they require two forms of id in addition to a credit card, pretty excessive, so we left without a car and walked in the heat to another rental company. read more

This is place is the epitome of a bait-and-switch operation. We reserved a car, showed up and the car was not available. They instead offered an SUV at a significant increase in cost ($200). They were quite rude about it and said there was nothing else they could do to help. To top it all off, some ghetto-looking guy in the lobby threatened to "knock my old _ss out". I'm not sure what the heck is going on at this location, but it's not good. Stay away for your own sanity and for safety as well. I will never rent from Budget again, that is for sure. read more

Tells me the car is required to come back with a full tank of gas, didn't realize till I left the lot that it's on half. Called someone in India, he said he'd note it but I'd still have to return it with a full tank. read more

TWO MONTHS after I drop off my car rental, I get a bill for 1896.57$ for "tire damage" to be taken off my credit card the next day. No explanation, nothing. Called customer service and it turns out all tires were stolen some time after I dropped off the car and they are trying to bill me for it. Yepp. OBVIOUSLY the car had tires when I dropped it off! Customer service was helpful and stopped all charges immediately but this SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN SENT TO ME!! I guess they were hoping I would just send it to my insurance and not ask questions, definitely feels like a scam. How the h*** are you trying to charge a customer for theft that happened on YOUR PROPERTY? read more

We rent from here about once a month, and they always treat us well. They even come pick us up and take us back home when we rent. They are friendly, and if you book online, you can get some discounts. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait, so I could imagine a business person getting frustrated. But for what we need it for, it's great. read more

I rented a car from a different Budget location and the change oil light was on. The location I rented from didn't have any other cars to switch it out with and this was the closest location in the system that had cars available, however, it was a 40 minute drive in rush hour traffic. I drove all the way over here and the lady refused to switch out the car for me even though they had tons of cars in their lot. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! read more

Rented a car from here through Expedia, what a disappointment. I had reserved a Midsize SUV but on the day of pickup they only had a selection of compact car's to choose from. The car was over a year old, with 30,000 miles and the wheels were well worn. It was too small to fit my families travel supplies and we had to leave a bag behind. Budget customer service could not be reached at any time, even when the front tire went flat and had to be replaced. Budget refused to work with me. Avoid this location and Budget by all means!! read more

Rented a car from here for me to get around to apartment showings and job interviews. The car that I got feels like it's about to break down at any minute and can be scary to even drive with all of its shifting problems. I called to ask about a replacement and was put on hold twice and was told that it's my responsibly to call all of the budget rental offices in the area to check their availability. The customer service at this center is the WORST I have ever experienced. Needless to say I will never use this location again. read more

Placed a last minute reservation for a truck with a lift gate. I was worried that they wouldn't have the truck, so I arrived early in the morning. I found out when I was there that they do in fact hold reservations as they were turning away others because all the other trucks were reserved. The truck I got was kind of poorly maintained. It was pretty beat up and the safety lock for the lift gate was broken. It ran well though. It was taller than the other 24'-26' trucks I've rented, and felt like it was going to tip while turning the wheels. Unfortunately I was told the truck was full of diesel and signed off on it. When I got in the truck the gauge read just below full. I put a total of 6 miles on the truck, and had to add 2.5 gallons of diesel just to get it up to where they said it was when I left. (And if I hadn't of filled it up, they would have charged $50 in fees to fill it up again.) I'll consider these guys again for future rentals, but I prefer Penske at this point... and I'll always check the gauge myself! read more

Worst car rental experience EVER at this particular Budget office. Back to Enterprise we go. The car I was renting came in at 11:50am and the office closed at 12 noon. The Budget/Avis employees at this location were extremely lazy and did not clean the car AT ALL because they wanted to go home for the day. The car smells horribly, and the smell transfers to our clothing every time we use the car. The smell is either cow or horse poop. Not kidding here. We are guessing it was used on or near a farm? We called to secure a replacement vehicle, the 800 number is not helpful, nor are the lazy employees at Budget in Englewood. NEVER AGAIN. I would avoid this Budget Rental car location at all costs. I will not use Budget again, ever. Can't make this stuff up. Honestly, I would not have written negative reviews if they would have provided a replacement vehicle, as accidents happen. Unfortunately, their customer service both Corporate 800 number and at the Englewood location itself are no help. Rude people suck. read more
