If you have a choice, and in the Ohio area you definitely should, please do yourself a favor and…read moreavoid the Enterprise branch in New Philadelphia. While I have had extremely positive experiences with other Enterprise employees, Kevin W, the Assistant Branch manager is one of the most indifferent, rude, and unmotivated people I have dealt with in this field. I had reserved a mid size SUV at the Columbus airport almost a week ago, and due to our flight being massively delayed we did not arrive until 11:30 Pm, along with many others. The airport lot was deserted, there was a long line, so when they brought us the Jeep Truck we knew it would not meet our needs, but figured this was the best that could be done at the time, I would get it remedied later. Little did I know that I had obviously been handed the herpes of rental vehicles, and branches would go out of their way in order to avoid trading it out. I have dealt with supervisors in the Ohio area who were extremely understanding and kind, and said they had spoken with the New Philadelphia branch, and they would be able to trade out my car. For 3 days I have called, and Kevin W would deny that he had agreed to these requests, and at first claimed to have no vehicles. As of yesterday, Kevin reluctantly told me he could provide me with a sedan. It was like pulling teeth to get details, and after asking 3 times I was told it was a Nissan Altima. Again I explained that I had reserved a mid sized SUV due to us having a large amount of luggage. The Jeep Truck did not meet the criteria because my luggage is exposed and not safe, and an Altima would not be large enough to carry it either. Kevin made no offers to help call other branches, or find out when an acceptable vehicle would be coming in. I said I would call back, and again contacted the Ohio numbers who said they would speak with Kevin's manager, so not to worry, it would be solved by morning. I called 4 times this morning, no answer, and decided to drive to the lot. It was PACKED. Easily 30 plus rental vehicles, at least 8-10 that would meet or exceed my needs, and what I had paid for. The gentleman in front of me was allowed to look in multiple vehicles to decide which one he was leaving in, and he was able to reserve a specific vehicle for a future date. Kevin obviously knew who I was due to the Jeep Truck, and did not even acknowledge my existence for a full 20 plus minutes. When it was my turn, it was obvious he had no intention of helping me. I told him my name, and he shrugged his shoulders and said he had a Nissan Altima. When I stated the obvious... that there are dozens of cars here, how could it be that there is only 1 available for me? He smirked and said they were all "reserved." That's ironic, because not only did I not get the type of vehicle I had reserved, but one would also think that I would have been placed on his branch's reservation list when I had been waiting 3 days for what I was promised. I don't believe this man has any respect for women, and it likely would have been a different story if my husband were present. I expect more from a company like Enterprise, this is not the kind of attitude that should be presented to not just the public, but paying customers. That office was closing in an hour and 20 minutes at the time I was there, and no other customers were present. The notion that all of those cars were set to leave the lot during that time was seriously laughable. This man had just decided he was going to lie to what I assume are his superiors and say he was going to help me, while having no intention of doing anything but telling me I will get what he thinks I deserve. I have called Enterprise corporate and I believe they will make it right, but if I never again step foot on the lot of New Philly that's fine by me. I hope anyone reading this heeds the warning and goes elsewhere.

Lowering to 1 star because the lady at the desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Additionally,…read morethey tried to rent me a 12-passenger transportation vehicle when I had simply reserved a basic car! This is so ridiculous that I'm still laughing. I decided not to rent from this location at all and left.

No automated email and Hertz didn't leave keys with other agency or partner for late pickup. I picked up car 12/19 and they wouldnt price adjust for lost rental day. They did offer an upgraded car class which is expected as a Gold Member. I confirmed the car could be returned on 12/25 and keys left in drop box. I drove car, it snowed and no windshield brush provided. I returned the car early on 12/25 and dropped keys in lock box. On 12/26 I start receiving pending daily charges on my credit card. I started calling Hertz CAK daily starting 12/27 (multiple calls a day) and after navigating their complex phone tree to get their local line to ring there was no answer and no ability to leave a message. On 12/30 I receive a text message from Hertz Overdue Dept saying my rental is past due. I called Hertz back spoke with a live agent who indicated they would contact Hertz CAK and I would get a receipt within 24 hrs. Meanwhile, daily pending extended day rental charges continue to post to my credit card and no receipt received. My final call to Hertz CAK on 1/2 resulted in closure of my rental and I finally received my receipt. They apologized for the delay and said it was due to the holidays. If you can't staff a rental counter during the busiest travel days of the year then you have no business being open. At minimum, I am due at least one day rental rate for not being able to pickup car on day requested. Be aware of CAKs limitations before renting: 1.You have no gold canopy service, 2. they close early 6pm and 3. you have no ability to make reservation for a Saturday return (which is odd). This was the worse location experience I have had with Hertz and first and last time I prepay.
