It was an oil drain plug. I was skeptical, so I went to Diefendorff for a second opinion. Diefendorff called about 2 hours later saying it was fixed and the grand total was $25. Small oil leak is no longer and it didn't cost $1000. Wish I had just gone to Diefendorff first.

My car isn't new and has a good amount of miles but it feels new. The Easterling Bros maintain my car and i worry about nothing. We just took a 1600 mile round trip with no issues at all in my older vehicle. Next month i will get new tires from them and aside from general maintenance including oil change, i have a "like new" car. Making an appointment is super easy. The prices are great and visiting them feels like visiting family. They did a great job inspecting the car for our trip. I wish i could put ten stars up there. They deserve all of them.

Well asked what happened with the 125 estimate. & he said that was just for a diagnostic which is NOT what he said. But I called a lawyer & ended up getting my car back for free. "Caveat Emptor" Went to Fix-It with Fred for a needed oil change and the air conditioner was…read moreblowing warm air. Dropped the car off told them the problems and mentioned, when braking, the car pulled a little to the left. Later they called with a diagnostic fee which seemed a little high but wanted it fixed. Someone called back the next day told me they had changed the oil and recharged the air conditioning and found leaks at both Schrader valves which they replaced (part of the diagnostic fee I imagine) and I needed $2000 worth of brake work, (front pads and rotors, rear shoes and drums, front calipers, BG brake system service). My response was, "that is a third of what the car was worth, put it back together and the car will be picked up. A total of $2875.81 of work and parts were declined by me. " Just to be on the safe side, two weeks later the same vehicle was taken to another auto repair shop to have the brakes checked, their receipt says "Inspect brakes, approximately 50% -OK". The brakes are working fine. There is probably a large gap as to what is needed for vehicle repairs and what the manufacturers suggests and how much money you have.

I have taken my cars to Fred for over 20 years. I drove my 2006 Elantra to 304,000 miles, mainly because Fred maintained it for most of its life. My 2023 Elantra has 50k on it and was recently serviced by Fred. I had a fuel induction/injector cleaning service (I think that is what it is called lol) and the car is running as good as the day it was brand new. I highly recommend Fred and his crew. They are amazing and their prices are fantastic.
