We were not greeted nor spoken to in a courteous manner. We recognized the store personnel were busy assisting other customers so we took the initiative to look at shoes and found a design we liked. We brought the selection and waited until an attendant was available. The attendant was rude and condescending in tone, insisting I was mispronouncing the shoe brand name. I found this very unprofessional in how it was communicated as well as she thought it was necessary to bring this to my attention. I didn't appreciate this type of customer service. I will not return to this REI nor recommend it to my friends anymore.

But not so much that it annoyed me. I went in looking for my first quality hat, and she worked very hard to try to find one in the price range that I was looking for in a style that worked for me.
