Overall, the ice cream flavor is average nothing to be wowed about. They have plenty of seating. Our average price was $7 per person. I personally tried a banana flavored and a chocolate peanut flavored one. The chocolate peanut butter was good. The banana was very light on flavor. New local ice cream joint in Mandarin. The shop is practically next door to a Bicycle Clinic where I dropped off my bike so I decided to stop by and check it out.   The ice cream shop just opened for business last Friday (8/24/2018). That is how new they are. The shop carries 36 variety of ice cream flavors..... enough flavors that has Baskin-Robbins wondering if they should continue to stick with their "31 flavors".   It looks like a family-run business. I met the owner, Nilam, along with her sisters, and others. All nice, cool people. They carry all kinds of different variety of flavors and combinations that I have never seen before. All flavors looked fresh, no signs of freezer burns. And just by eye balling the place, it looks like maximum occupancy is no more than 20 people.   TIP: The shop is running a special that runs through September 15th... which is get a Free scoop of Ice Cream when you purchase any size of Ice Cream. I will also post a "TIP" after posting this review.   I ordered the Dutch Chocolate Almond and Sea Salted Caramel Cookies-n-Cream (as my free scoop). It tasted really fresh. Saturday afternoon was super hot and I really didn't want to leave the house after being outside doing yard work all day, but my daughter kept insisting on getting ice cream. Hershey's Ice Cream being the closest to the house we decided to go there. I've never really been a fan of hard scoop ice cream; I usually like the fake stuff that oozes from a machine, but I was pleasantly surprised by Hershey's Ice Cream's ice cream. I had the salted caramel bananas foster ice cream and it was wonderful; soft and sweet with a hint of salt. So good! The young lady working in the shop was super nice to us and very good at making sure to take good care of us; including my 4 year old that wanted every flavor they had. I have been taking my boyfriend out for surprise dates on Friday nights, and one night I decided to take him to Hershey's for ice cream. It's nothing fancy, but they have a wide variety of ice cream. I picked a sea salt caramel ice cream and my boyfriend picked chocolate chip cookie dough. We were the only people there, which was a little sad, but understandable considering the pandemic. Well, you don't have to travel all the way to PA to get your hands on some delicious Hershey's ice Cream. Nestled in a strip of stores just north of I-295 (in the same spot as CVS, Bicycle Clinic, and Java Haus Cafe), this little haven of ice cream goodness will be easily missed if you don't look carefully. But once you find it...ooh, delicious is an understatement. They boast 36 flavors of some of the sweetest and creamiest (and somewhat unique) flavors you'll find in town. I don't exaggerate when i say that it was hard to choose what I wanted. The owner was great! Very nice and provided great explanation of the different options - milkshakes, sky high sundaes, etc. You can also try a sampling of the flavors before making your choice. I went ahead with a medium size dish (which equals 2 scoops), and chose cappuccino crunch and raspberry sorbet, topped with Nerds candy - Seems that when there is a sorbet available, it makes for a good palette cleanser if you've eaten something savory beforehand, or if the other flavor is pretty sweet. In this case, the cappuccino crunch wasn't too sweet, it was actually quite tasty. And mixed with the sorbet, it tasted like a raspberry chocolate mix - YUM! Two scoops was also adequate enough to satisfy me without being too much. But now that leaves 34 other favors to try, haha! Look forward to being back soon. I highly recommend this place - if you can't hit up local stalwarts like Mayday in San Marco, this place is on par in terms of quality and selection! read more

After grabbing some dinner at Wing It in the same shopping center, we walked down to Hershey's Ice Cream for a sweet treat. Daniel is more a connoisseur of the frozen confection than I am. My preference is gelato. But I do enjoy a good waffle cone sometimes, and some butter pecan ice cream; or a hot fudge sundae with wet nuts! I was a little surprised at the home-made wall decor inside. If this is THE Hershey's, and especially if it's a franchise (?), I certainly expected more. (OK did my research...from Hershey Ice Cream website: We are not affiliated with Hershey's Chocolate. While both companies were started by men with the same last name, there is no relation). There were many flavors to choose from, but I wanted something familiar and reliable-Butter Pecan. After a big meal of Cajun Ranch and Lemon Pepper wings, neither of us wanted a huge portion of ice cream, just something cold and sweet to balance it all out. Daniel opted for the Midnight Caramel River (will have to double check the name). We both decided on a Kid Size Sundae, which is $3.99. There is a picture behind the cold case depicting a scrumptious sundae with the usual whipped cream and cherry on top. Also a handwritten note below indicating price includes 1 dry topping and 1 wet topping. We both asked for hot fudge and Daniel requested the broken Oreo pieces on his. I didn't want any dry toppings (which are in clear jars atop the ice cream case and include mini Reeses cups, Reeses Pieces, M&M's, pecans, crushed Oreos, broken Oreos, and maybe 5 others) since my ice cream already had pecans. After leaving, Daniel realized that he was charged extra for something-our ticket was 9 dollars and 50 some cents. It should've been under $9. Not sure what that's about. I only had 1 (wet) topping and no dry toppings; Daniel had 1 wet topping and 1 dry. Hmmmm. Yes, the cup is small and that's what we wanted. However, it contained only 1 scoop of ice cream and not a generous one; no whipped cream or cherry. For 8 dollars, we could've bought a pint or larger at Publix down the street, plus a jar of hot fudge or a bottle of Hersheys syrup and had a party on the couch at home. Just seemed way too much money for the portion and presentation. I did see some interesting flavors like Rum Raisin and PlayDough which I've never seen elsewhere. That's a plus. And my Butter Pecan contained quite a bit of pecans, which was nice. Daniel said his caramel swirl was tastier than some other local places. But between the pitiful little topless "sundaes" and the person behind the counter being on his cell phone w/speaker on almost our entire visit, I just don't get why this place has so many 5 stars. Also we asked about the Skyscraper menu item advertised on the wall and were told they didn't have that. Strange. Then while we were there, someone walked in and asked for a sample while trying to decide on a flavor and was told they are not giving samples due to Covid 19. I don't understand that, because the whole sample concept has always been pretty hygienic. You have your own little spoon or piece of plastic which is presumably clean when the ice cream is placed on it...you eat it, and you throw it away. How can that be unsanitary? What is unsanitary is the person behind the counter wearing his face mask pulled underneath his nose. Yep. Disappointed. read more

I saw this little ice cream shop near my house and stopped in the other day to check it out. The first thing I noticed was they had a very nice assortment of flavors to choose from so they likely have a flavor you will like. I've had the coffee cookies n cream and the cappuccino crunch which is excellent! My kids had cotton candy while my wife opted for vanilla with M&M's and everyone was happy with their choice. The staff was very friendly and offered samples of anything you wanted to try and the shop itself was clean and neat. If you're in the Mandarin area and like ice cream stop by and give this place a try, with all of flavor choices they have you're sure to find something you'll like. read more

Hubby and I both grabbed a cone- I have peanut butter cup- a personal fave of chocolate ice cream with a peanut butter swirl and hubby opted for the mint moose tracks. I got the old school sugar cone- which was cracking as the lady behind the counter was packing it and she was going to toss it and start over! No-No That's ice cream abuse!!! I'll eat it- don't waste it! She laughed and continued loading it. I hate wasting food- but I do understand presentation and giving a quality product. For the record- the cone didn't fall apart- so it was all good! Hubby got a waffle cone and happily devoured his cone. We also played a few games of connect four while snacking... all 4 games I won, which my hubby said he was letting me win- hmm-mm, sure! I will be back- they have banana splits in a cup!
