I have been fighting an elusive engine problem for over two years, with five plus dealerships across multiple states, and locally trying to troubleshoot the issue, none of them being successful. I purchased my vehicle from here last year, it's almost impossible to get a hold of service. They tore my seat cover and still have not contacted me about when to bring it in for replacement. When I did drop my vehicle off with them, they offered no loaner, they do not communicate well, their waiting area is awful, and they take forever to get anything done. Absolute awful customer service. The salesman, Ryan, and GM lied straight to mine and my husband's face about body work that was supposedly never done at their dealership, but we later found out that it was done there. The work which was done was horrible. They claimed they never even saw the spot, when we looked back at the photos sent to us from the showroom floor there was a dent in the exact spot where the awful paint job was. We drove 4 hours to buy the vehicle and were extremely disappointed and still are with the crap we are dealing with. Just super disappointing to spend that kind of money and to be let down this much. Not good. There are so many other places to buy cars in central MS, there is no reason to go here. Part of it is my fault for not doing the proper research, but they sold me a truck that was in the middle of a class action law suit for engine trouble and sure enough, that's what happened to me. They "offered" to fix it for $6000 which I let them do, then when I went to pick it up, they told me my check engine light came on (wasn't on before I dropped it off) and told me now my catylitic converter needed to be replaced for $3000 more. They then told me I could trade it in and they would gladly "eat" the cost of the catylitic converter, but the first truck they put me in, a 2023 Toyota Tundra, was not only part of a rental fleet I was unaware of, but that particular model was under a current recall of some sort from Toyota because of the engine locking up and having to replace the ENTIRE engine. Needless to say, you need to go and buy a car somewhere else. Do not spend your hard earned money at a place that treats people like this. read more

I am the owner of a 2010 dts Cadillac & have had my car serviced at the dealership since 2019. Last year had leakage from sunroof but service was denied. Candy (service technician) told me mechanic too busy! Finally on 3/1/24 left my car at dealership requested all my sunroof drains be checked. And asked Fod to give me an estimate of repairs for sunroof drains. For 3 days no communication from Fod until I decided to pick up my car. My request ignored by Fod instead he did a maintenance check on my car. And stated no leakage from sunroof suggested windshield be replaced.However returned to dealership showed Chris (Service mgr) the silicone foam by driver's door soaked in water! He suggested bringing car back for service. Which I did on (3/25) and stated my frustrations about the above issues. Chris stated most mechanics don't like working on Cadillacs. Also told him my observation of water leaking from the rear of my sunroof. Chris then told Fod to have mechanic to check. The next day Fod stated the rear drains on sunroof clogged! Which clearly shows a LIE was told. Who is to be held accountable for the unnecessary frustration/stress I have experienced? I had to get my Tahoe towed on a Saturday night and I called my service advisor Mark the next business day telling him my problem and he was of great service from start to finish. He was looking out for the tow truck when my SUV arrived and logged me in very quickly. I got to my Tahoe fixed because they diagnosed the problem right away and didn't all it to sit. I would absolutely give them zero starts if it was an option. I had recently bought a new Chevy and I am on vacation driving home from FL to CO. Oops.....check engine light comes on. This was the closest dealership to where I was at the time. Drove up to the service center, explained my predicament and was told that the soonest they would even be able to look at my car was the next morning. I asked them if there was anyway they could fit me in sooner and I just received the "no there are other people ahead of you". My father, who is from South Africa, was with me and he asked to speak with the manager. We were taken to his office, where he didn't even bother getting up from behind his desk to greet us(oh I am sorry he didn't even introduce himself)! He also gave us the "we have other customers to take care of". Well okay, I get that, so we asked if there was any other option we had. Well you could take it to one of the other dealerships. Okay, would you mind calling ahead so we don't waste our time driving from one to another. You would be better off going there yourself, otherwise they will just think we are pawning off customers on them. My father proceeded to tell him that in SA if something like this happened the customer would be taken care of in a heartbeat. Took my truck in for service because other places could not determine the issue. I was not happy about waiting for so long nor the access to a loaner vehicle because I dropped it off on a Tuesday and picked it up on a Friday but, they were able to figure out the issue and it was covered under my warranty. They also washed it! :) Suggestion - Follow up with customers more even if you do not have a resolution so at least they will know that it is being worked on. I had to call a few times just to get an update. Also, no pick up service was really available nor loaners and with having a full time job and a part time, it is not the easiest being without a vehicle for almost an entire week. Honestly, this is the worst dealership I have ever purchased a vehicle from. They will say they are fair and will do everything for you and that you'll not find a better deal but honestly they just bend you over the table and take advantage of you. We bought a brand new Tahoe off their lot and traded in my paid off 2015 Toyota 4Runner limited that was in great condition and had added a brush guard and they gave me 14,500 and the next day they had it posted on their website for 22,000. They came up front and showed me the KBB value and I think somehow they typed in something incorrectly on purpose to make the value go down and I didn't pay close enough attention to detail. Then 3-4 weeks after having this brand new Tahoe that was almost 60K the brakes locked up on me and my dashboard went crazy. Took up to the dealership and it stayed and they continued to say they could find nothing wrong with it. This car has been in and out of multiple shops since March of 2019 when I purchased it and I refuse to go back to Herrin gear because of their service and attitudes. Not to mention the finance guy enjoyed telling us about him and his wife getting a divorce and found out we were part owners of a pipeline company and tried to get a job with us because he was tired of Herrin gear. If I could go back to March 2019 I would have never traded in my 4-runner for this piece of shit Tahoe and dealt with Herrin-gear Chevrolet. read more

I dropped my sons 2017 Q50 off to the Herrin Gear dealership on July 16, 2018, to have some body work completed. I informed the Herrin Gear representative James Reeves that I lived in Louisiana over 110 miles one way from their dealership, so I would need a 2-hour window for pickup after the work is completed. I called the dealership several times throughout the repair process. Some days I would make at least 5 separate phone calls and I would not get an answer. I left a voicemail on a couple of occasions and I received no follow up phone calls. So, I reached out to my insurance company to try to get them to help me navigate the repair process. Well, I received a phone call on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 4:11 p.m. informing me that the vehicle was ready for pick up. I told James Reeves that I could not come and pick up the vehicle because they closed at 5:30 p.m. and I would not have enough time for travel to Jackson, Mississippi from Louisiana. No other arrangements could be made or were offered should I say. I informed James Reeves that I could pick up the vehicle on late Friday or Saturday. He informed me that the bodyshop would be closed on Saturday and Sunday. So, I told him that I would definitely try to make it on Friday. Well at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018, I called James Reeves and I received no answer. I called my insurance company and they spoke with someone at the dealership and informed me that the airbag light and the head light would not go out and they were still working on the vehicle. I told the insurance company that this could not be true because I received a call on the day before to come and pick up the vehicle. I also informed the insurance company that their were no airbag issues with this 2017 Q50 Infiniti. I told him I was coming to the dealership to pick up the vehicle because 12 days was more than enough to complete the repairs. James Reeves said that the vehicle would be ready in 30 minutes at 1:15 p.m. We arrived at the dealership around 2:45 p.m. I got in line to pay my deductible around 3:15 p.m. (The person that checked out before me was having issues with her battery and the person that waited on her was just as unprofessional as I have ever seen)! So, James Reeves came up to me and said that the car was not ready because the Service Dept got the vehicle at 9:00 that morning to replace the airbag because of a recall and to replace the headlight because it was covered by Infiniti warranty. Then James Reeves came back about 20 or so minutes to tell me that the wiring to the Airbag was ate up by a RODENT. I am like if a rodent ate up the wiring, it happened while the vehicle was in your custody. He comes back a few minutes later with some pictures. I told them to save them for their attorney because they would need them. So, I called my insurance company and informed them of what was going on and I was informed that a representative from the insurance company was in the dealership. Keep in mind I thought the insurance rep worked for Herrin Gear Body shop. So, I was told that I have to file another claim to have my sons airbag wiring repaired and there was NOTHING wrong with the airbag PRIOR to James Reeves telling me on Friday that they were repairing the airbag because of a RECALL! I forgot prior to leaving with my vehicle, James Reeves tried to get me to sign another ticket, where he added that something was wrong with my Airbag. I refused to sign that ticket because I had already paid the deductible and received a ticket. Because I told him that I would be contacting my brother which is an attorney to see this repair through to the end, he tried to COVER UP what they did by getting me to sign that ticket. I REFUSED and asked for the keys to my sons car and left. Oh, once we inspected the vehicle, to ensure that they performed the appropriate repairs (trust was gone at this point). My son pulled over as I traveled behind him in the rental car and he told me that the windshield wiper did not have fluid coming out of it. I look on the ticket and the windshield wiper reservoir was DEFINITELY billed to the insurance company. However, they failed to put any windshield wiper fluid in the reservoir. This is like putting in a new motor and not putting any oil in the motor. I am like REALLY? They are short staffed & no one answers the phone. The number is (601) 354-3882. Call the body shop for yourself and see if anyone answers with the exception of the receptionist which is housed next door to them in a SEPARATE building. This is the worst Chevrolet dealership in the nation . My truck was towed in on 10/28/2013 and was there for 4 weeks They replaced the complete fuel system and claws my fuel was contaminated because it was too clear. They had a glass jar with the fuel in it and there was no wAter or thrash in it. They said it was too clear for diesel fuel and didn't know about low suffer diesel After all their checking and diagnosis they said that the injectors were not firing. Hello an injector does not fire a spark but their techs don't know that When I finally got my truck back the front fenders were scratched from their tech not use any type of covers to protect my truck The windows were left rolled down the entire time it set in their shop The engine compartment was left in the greasy mess you could ever imagine They also removed the front tires to lower the front down so the tech could work on it easier and knocked off a wheel weight which had the front end shaking I ask them to clean my truck and they took a dry cloth and wiped the dust off the dash I would never take my truck back there for any kind of repairs and I would not recommend them to someone to even clean their windshield read more

My 2013 Chevy Malibu broke down outside of Jackson Miss during the last Hurricane. GM (OnStart) sent me to this dealership. A very long story short the service took over 7 days before they even pull the car into the shop. I live in Florida a called them daily for a diagnosis (not a thing!) A week later on a Friday about noon they pull the car in and gave me a diagnosis and say it would be ready by 5 pm that day at a cost of around $1500.00. Remember I live in Florida. So I drove to Jackson Miss arriving late Friday night. I arrive before the shop open Saturday morning and picked up the car. Five miles from the dealership I heard the belt on the car slip. In Tallahassee FL the care shut down on me. I was able to restart the car and continue my trip. When I arrived home I took it to my local dealership and the identified that according to a GM Manufactures Bulletin that Herrin's mechanic installed the pulley on the car upside down. Herrin dealership denied, denied and denied again. I ended up paying addition $300.00 to repair there mistake that even GM said was there fault. GM said that they could not force the to own up to their mistake. Very bad, bad dealership read more

I would rate a negative if I could. I dropped my truck off on a Saturday, spoke with the service advisor, he told me they will be dropping the tank and checking the sensors in my diesel Chevy truck. They had my truck for 2 weeks!! I called every day and left a message, wanting to make sure they did indeed check the sensors, I never received a call back. Picked up my truck only to have it do the EXACT SAME THING I BROUGHT IT IN FOR! The mechanic only spoke to my family member, confirming the sensors were NOT checked and when asked if it was fixed, he said "I'm not psychic". He refused to return any of my calls and now they will not refund my money. Satisfaction guaranteed is a lie. I wouldn't bring my bicycle to them. Beyond angry and dissatisfied. I will not stop trying to receive a refund!! I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company in all my life. Save yourself the time and find an honest reputable mechanic, do not take your vehicle here. read more

This is by far the worse dealership I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I dropped my 2005 Corvette off at Capitol Body shop due to a hydroplane accident on 13 May 2014. After 4, yes 4(Four) visits to these idiots, they still can't fix my car. It's now July 7, 2014 and I still have no end date in site. They swear they know how to work on Corvettes. Took car in for repair service. Asked to have fluids topped off and tire pressure checked while car was being serviced. Car was repaired but fluids were not checked. Had to take car back in to have oil added and they charged me. Every other BMW dealership I've been to checks these items routinely and tops off fluids without a charge. My Car was at Herrin Gear for almost 2 weeks. I just got it back after paying over $600 to find out why my battery goes out overnight. After Herrin Gear having my car for 12 days it is still not working. I am still without transportation. I am today (5/4/2013) waiting for Monday to come so that I can take my car back to the shop. I really can't believe you sent me this survey. I am a very dis-satisfied customer. WARNING...Do not allow yourself to be mislead by this dealerships positive reviews. We drove over 150 miles today to experience the worst car buying experience ever. First of all they provide false advertisement online regarding "no haggle" prices l. It appears they randomly change prices online for advertisement but Frank deems this as ok since they have a "disclaimer" on the bottom of their website. We were given numerous excuses from "it must have been a mistake" "that price is not accurate and you have to call to verify" Despite request to speak with the manager we were never allowed to do so. Frank, was as close as we got to a manager and he was very rude and unprofessional. When we questioned the price and showed pics of several 2018 Tahoe's that were advertised at discounted price all week and that it didn't change until we arrived at the dealership today and showed interest in purchasing the vehicle, he stated "that was not the price listed all week" and "if it was you would have called Wednesday", he refused to admit he was wrong despite pictures we had with dates and times on it dating back to Wednesday August 29. He basically called us liars which was very offensive. At that point you couldn't have given us the vehicle. To make matters worse he thanked us for the drive down, very sarcastically. It's ironic that I got this survey today. My son brought the car in for the Herrin Gear Certified Service special ($39.95) that included oil change, 27 point vehicle inspection and tire rotation. I paid HG $300 for oil change, so called 27 pt. inspection that yielded a new air filter and fuel system treatment, but no tire check or tire rotation, which was really needed because On-star continues to give a low pressure warning for one tire. I realized on Friday that the tires had not been rotated and was going to call on today, but as fate would have it we had a flat on Saturday. There were two holes and extreme tire wear on the tire. This could have been prevented had you provided the service that was requested. I booked on -line if you need to verify and my son presented a coupon. There is no consistency with your service. One time it's good and sometimes it doesn't live up to your guarantee. That makes it extremely hard to answer question number in good faith. I come here because you're convenient to my job and you have a shuttle van, but I guess asking for convenience and quality is too much to ask for. read more
