What is notable about this job is that we have a home that was built in 1918 so our house does not have straight lines to work by. He made it look as though we did...that is a hard task. He has also demoed and installed a new tile floor in our powder bath, also not level, and it turned out flawless. The powder bath also needed new glass installed and and additional piece of wood trim...the tricky part was he needed to make it blend into the existing trim that is 100 years old...he did it and it looks beautiful.

He estimated it could take up to 4 hours for the job, which we thought was excessive, but agreed to hire him due to the great reviews. He thought alltogether it could run from $350-$400. Being a business owner myself, I assumed he was quoting on the high end but would actually charge me for what he said - labor and materials. The job done by his one man crew was excellent. I must say the quality was great which is why I am giving three stars. However, the guy was at our house for just under three hours. I got a bill for $400. We priced the materials at less than $40. When I asked for a breakdown of the bill, he said it was three hours of time at the home, plus an additional hour to go pick up the materials, which comes to $340 and then exactly $60 for materials. I understand the upcharge on materials since they potentially did not have a 2 x 4 and some plywood on hand (though I find that hard to believe) and had to go get them. But then to upcharge and add an additional hour just so he could charge us on the high end of his quote is poor business practice. I verified this with other companies. He should have explained ahead of time that there would be an automatic one hour charge to pick up materials. I would not use this company again simply because of their poor business practices.

He had to trim the overhang of the metal roofi. I expected him to charge me more however he came back the next day and finished the trimming at no extra charge. I also had him do all the gutters on my parents house as well. They came out great. It's been several weeks we couldn't be happier. The color of the gutters where perfect for there house. We had a driveway demolition/repair project. The company we chose had to have a Right of Way…read morelicense from the city, which AMJ does. The bid was very competitive so we chose them. Alex the office manager was quick to reply via text or email to answer any questions/concerns we had. Demolition was scheduled June 18 and the pour scheduled the 19th. Rain was forecasted for the 19th so it was decided to do the pour the afternoon of the 18th. The pour was done and swept and it started to rain before it could be covered. Jose and the crew had to cover it, wait for the rain to stop, then uncover and re-sweep/fix the pour. This happened three times. Finally the rain stopped, and they were able to do the final sweep and cover for the night. They stayed until well after dark, finally finishing just before 10pm, 14 hours after their day began. They returned the 19th and did a great job cleaning up. We are very pleased with the finished product and the work ethic of Jose and his crew. We highly recommend AMJ!

We contacted Paint Pals of Fort Collins to paint our house as soon as we heard back from our HOA…read morethat we were approved for painting. They sent a very professional estimator out to our house quickly to meet us and talk about the services they provide. They broke the price down based on the different paint products available and even offered quotes to replace some damage on our house. We found their prices to be comparable to other painters we got estimates from and were able to choose the kind of paint that gave us the best cost vs effectiveness balance which was nice because some painters are limited to one line of products available. Much to our surprise they called and said that they had availability much sooner than they originally thought and were able to come out the next day to begin painting. After a full day of very thorough prep work they had a crew large enough to paint all of the body in one day and trimmed out the next. The final paint job looks AMAZING! I was so impressed that they came back at a time that was convenient for me to walk the house and discuss any issues that I noticed. There were very few, but they dealt with them immediately and professionally. We couldn't be happier with the job they did and the value we got for repainting our house!

They painted the interior of our last home in 2018, stained a deck for us in 2020, and painted the interior of the new construction home we've lived in for just over a year. Each time they have responded to our inquiry promptly, communicated clearly regarding job pricing, timing, and expectations, and completed the work on (or ahead of) schedule. I was expected to remove pictures and anything else attached to the walls, and the crew handled outlet plates, blinds, and everything else. They were efficient, polite, and we are extremely pleased with the results.
