They painted the interior of our last home in 2018, stained a deck for us in 2020, and painted the interior of the new construction home we've lived in for just over a year. Each time they have responded to our inquiry promptly, communicated clearly regarding job pricing, timing, and expectations, and completed the work on (or ahead of) schedule. I was expected to remove pictures and anything else attached to the walls, and the crew handled outlet plates, blinds, and everything else. They were efficient, polite, and we are extremely pleased with the results. For all three jobs, we've found the pricing to be competitive and everyone from the estimators to the project managers to the crews have gone out of their way to make sure we're happy with the work. My husband and I have been interested in changing the colors inside our home for several months. I contacted Foothills Painting and am so happy! Alex and Rachel came with color samples and ideas for the different rooms. We truly felt that our ideas and hopes were heard! After the color discussion, they took measurements and provided an estimate right on the spot. Several discounts were available (winter time, flexibility and military) which brought a competitive price down even more! Large color samples arrived two days later for our consideration. We didn't change anything, the colors were spot on! The following week, the painters arrived. Nathan, Issac and Randy are an asset to this company. Very professional, and communicated with me regarding their game plan in attacking the project. This helped us to prep ahead of time. This amazing crew would divide and conquer different areas, yet somehow, would hold each other accountable. If they found areas that needed additional paint, it was addressed appropriately. After each day, they cleaned up and swept the floor. Gordon, our project manager, kept in touch the entire time to ensure our expectations were being met (which they were)! Today was the final walkthrough, and while my husband and I didn't see areas that needed touch ups, their professionalism caught it and made the changes. The estimated cost never changed and there were no hidden fees, so I believe we received quality service for a great price! Roy from Foothills Painting was the foreman on my project. We were covering an old tan color with a fresh green color and he was very helpful to my wife, who's main concern was the color. My main concern was the prep work, as our house was built in 1968. The crew was quick, so they took pictures and videos of all the priming and caulking to send to me at work. I was extremely pleased with the process as well, which was convenient and the total opposite I have had with contractors in the past. I got my house painted 2 years ago.it was suppose to be satin gloss.it was flat.The people that painted did tell the paint they went to get was out and they got a lower grade.they did a great day painting.a few months later I went to wipe walls off.They would not wipe up and no sheen.I called them and they redid it.Same thing.The painter said the company was out of the paint he got a cheaper version.I had to keep I out on my dog so could not walk everywhere..Again same thing. I had these guys come out for a free estimate for interior and exterior painting on my home in Fort Collins. Received a reasonable quote on exterior paint, but was quoted over $23,000, (yes, that is not a typo, twenty three thousand dollars), for painting the interior of my 2,000 sq.ft house one singular color. I obviously went another direction, found out that this quote constituted a 400% mark up on labor and a 200% markup on paint cost. The "solution" suggested was that I do 60% of the work myself (masking/all prep work, priming, paint doors, trim, etc.) and received an quote of over $10,000 attached with that suggestion. Rep was very professional, so no idea if this is a top-down issue with this company, maybe they don't want interior business so they price themselves out of the market, but either way, no one on earth with their wits about them would pay 1/2 that price for that work, no matter the quality. read more

I had a townhouse that needed painting and through my management company they went to Foothills Painting. I signed a contract with them for a townhouse that I rent. The contract states Sherwin Williams Paint to be used. It took them over 3 months to finish the job and never put back towel bars, switch plates and closet bars. I had to get a handyman to finish the job. The job should have taken 7 to 10 days. They buyer wanted to know the colors that were used. I called Foothills Painting to find out they substituted Behr paint fom Home Depot rather than Sherwin Williams as was stated in the contract. I doubt I am not the first that got a bait and switch pulled on them. WARNING: if you have a rental property you better check the paint cans and sit and watch them, they can't be trusted. read more

The entire Foothills team from Wes Brown the Sales Rep, to Gordon our Color Specialist and of course Jacob and his fantastic Painting Team were extremely professional and courteous in every aspect of the job. The exterior was Power Washed and the next day prepared for painting by sanding rough areas, filling in holes, etc. Then their magic happened when Jacob and Crew arrived with our new colors and transformed our house into our dreams. They were very precise and took ample time to do the job right and were receptive to a few requests from us. 02/16/21 I was left with a rental that had been trashed by the previous tenants. I found Foothills Painting through a FB advertisement. I called them right away and they answered, we made an appointment to view the space and within a day we had a contract signed. Foothills Painting made me feel comfortable with my decisions and prioritized my work with an awareness of the limited time I had to turn the property over. I was contacted almost immediately by the project manager. They helped me pick colors that are popular in today's market. They showed up on time! They finished a day early. The walkthrough was courteous, friendly, and professional. He was early, he was wearing a mask and was courteous of the social distancing suggestions made by the CDC. I didn't find one thing wrong or missing from my project. Foothills Painting helped me find a good drywall repair service. They looked at all the problem areas and generated a quick and competitive quote. They were problem solvers! As a first-time rental owner, I tried to do some of my own stainings to balcony doors. I completely messed up the staining job. Foothills came in and helped me problem solve the situation while commending me on my effort of trying it first on my own. The only reason we didn't give this company a one star is that after making a huge mistake on our house (essentially ruining our siding), the owner did work with us to try to remedy the mistake. There are too many layers of people from the sales reps, to the colorists ,to the painters and foremen. This company hires sub painters and pays them half the bid. Therefore the quality of work overall is substandard and rushed. The owner Paul asked me not to write a bad review, but after the painter who was to repair the work left, we have found paint and stain drips on our deck, window screens and flag stone. The final work in places was shoddy. I can not recommend this company and will not use them again. also the whole process took four months over the summer. Ugh. read more

A couple of years ago we hired Foothills painting. Even though the job was done within expectations things were was not handled well. I did vocalize this in a review. Within a couple of days Ben contacted us and said he was not aware of how things were handled and he wanted to make it right. He was professional and courteous. We had the exterior of our home painted by Foothills. We decided to go with them because of the great reviews and if a review was not good, Ben replied he would make it good. Also, the ladies were wonderful who came to do the initial quote (Hillary) and pick the colors (Rachael). Well, they made it right for us, so far. What I mean by so far, is we still need our roof fixed from the horrible job our first paint crew did. Jason, our Project Manager, has been great at getting everything corrected by the first paining crew. He sent us a new paint crew with Carlos. He was amazing! Repainted our whole house with the correct paint I picked! Fast, neat and clean, communicated with us and professional! House looks so good! The first painters messed up our new roof and Jason is going to get it all fixed this month! He also discounted our bill, due to the bad experience we had with the first painters. I cannot give 5 stars because of the bad experience we first had. I can give 4 stars by how the my made it right. Carlos did do a 5 star job and it is not his fault what he came to correct! We hadn't moved in yet and weren't in the area until a month after they painted. There were a lot of missed spots, inconsistent paint levels in areas, paint on the counters/floor. If you're there and able to micromanage the work more, they're probably fine. I also asked for pictures when they were done and only received pictures of a couple rooms part way through. read more

Quote process: These guys were very good-humored about reformatting their quote several times for the insurance company. Their rates are good overall, and breakdown of cost by task was easy to understand with no hidden surprises. Zeb handled the quote process and was great to work with. He was very patient with us when we showed up late for a meeting with him. They also gave us a discount for being flexible with timing, which added up to a decent amount. Colors: Picking colors was pretty easy. Bobby helped us make decisions, which was nice because left to your own devices, you'll try to run with too many colors and get overwhelmed. There was a long period with no communication and we showed up at home one day to find the paint samples on the house with no warning. Prep and painting: The quality of the work is good, and the attention to detail was good. Prep took quite a few hours of work, a lot more than expected. I take this to be a good sign, as they caulked everything they could squeeze any into. However, there was little communication, work began late, and no updates were given for the first couple days. After I contacted the project manager, I was given much better communication and updates. Overall, I'm happy with the job, and would recommend this company. I appreciated his request for candid feedback and his perceived desire to sincerely improve his operation. I had an interior wall that they had painted and was not satisfied with the color. Then I met with the color consultant, Bobby, and went through a lot of options until I was comfortable with the combinations. He answered all my questions and ensured me all my little concerns would be addressed. These guys are great! Ben came out and did our estimate, he was professional and knowledgeable. Our project included painting walls, ceilings, trim, doors and some cabinets in our 3900 square foot house. We needed some professional advise about staining vs painting our trim since we were going with black for the trim. After talking with the painting crew and trying out both the trim and the stain options on some sample trim, we felt well informed to make our decision. As with all jobs, there were a few hiccups, but Ben was very quick to respond and remedy everything. In the end our house was transformed! We let three companies bid the project, one company was nearly double the price and the other was almost exactly what Foothills has bid. We are very happy that we went with Ben and his guys.
