At Hero's West in Lemont: - Ambience, designed to separate the bowling alley from the bar and grill so we didn't hear a pin fall. If you sit at the bar the stools and the well placed foot rail will keep you comfortable. A clean, modern space with high ceilings and a roll-up overhead door for when warmer weather eventually returns. - Food and Beverages. An usually large selection of ice cold beers on tap. The Saturday $10 Nachos with pulled pork special had the perfect thin crispy chips with a bit more of delicious toppings than two large hungry men could finish completely. - Service. Lina was our bartender. She did a perfectly excellent job for us from greeting to finish. Her supporting colleagues did the same. The service and food were so bad on my last visit that I doubt I will ever be back. Kayla was our server and she couldn't have been any less attentive. She took my wife's drink order and went to get it - without taking MY drink order. We thought that this was a fluke but it was indicative of how slapdash our entire visit would go. It felt like we were an annoyance keeping Kayla away from her top priority: her phone. Then my wife's burger came out on a pretzel bun that looked like it had been sat on - no lettuce, tomato or onions on the side - just meat on mangled bread (with fries). We tried to remedy this but had to wait for Kayla to put her phone down and wander back to our table to do so. This took a while. We usually get dessert when dining out, but we had enough of Kayla's half-assery for one evening that we didn't push our luck. All in all, the service was lousy and the food was sub-par. If/when we ever come back, it won't be anytime soon. read more

First of all this place is much bigger that it looks from the outside I was surprised but I was also shocked at how empty it was on a Friday night. We went to watch a band the service was very slow and we had to keep searching for our waiter anytime we needed anything. Our waiter also brought out drinks we hadn't ordered even though we said we didn't want to order anymore they took it back and didn't charge but should pay attention to the customer a little better next time. Heroes West in Lemont has poor management, staff members, and food. The food tastes like garbage, and also gives you an upset stomach. I do not recommend. They had a really bad fruit fly problem, and I found a few fruit flys in my food (3 Amigos) I noticed one of the bartenders vaping (THC) behind the bar, Alex. It was not discreet and stunk up the bar/dining room area. The employees are always sitting around in the server station, on their phones, while work needs to be done. We attended a benefit here and the bartenders at one of the bars were less than friendly, which is a shame in the service industry. We came back again for a birthday event and had a blast. The staff seemed happier to be there than our first go. We bowled ( small bowling alley), played darts and shot some pool. The venue is decent sized and broken up into a restaurant area and what I'll call an entertainment area with bowling, pool tables, stage for band, darts, pop a shot, etc. The food we had was buffet style tacos and pizza all was delicious. Went for lunch today. Ordered French onion soup, chicken wild rice soup and a side of onion rings for appetizers. My wife ordered a strawberry salad and I ordered a Rueben panini. Waited a very long time to get our food, that all came out at the same time at room temperature. Never received my appetizers with my entree's before. I had a view of the kitchen from my seat. It looked like the assistant that helped serve our food always had food in his mouth, while we were waiting for our food. The French onion was a bowl of onions with very little broth and the slice of cheese on top wasn't even melted through. The Reuben had the same amount of sauerkraut as corned beef. My wife enjoyed her salad. The onion rings weren't even hot. Not sure what they were waiting on to serve the food, but I can only assume it was the salad. Possibly the worst, most rude service I've ever experienced. The restaurant was not crowded and our party of 8 placed an order for drinks, Apps & dinner. After 25 minutes we did not even get our waters. When one of the women in our party approached the manager asking "what's going on" the manager's reply was "feel free to leave". Surrounded by 5 employees also doing nothing. When questioning her reply her response was to call the police on us and continue to scream. Clearly not cut out to manage anyone. Drove past a few times since it opened figure I would check it out. The inside is nice good amount of TVs nice bar area and sitting area with tables and booths. Family friendly for sure. Sat down at the bar my usual go to bartender came up was nice grabbed drinks after a few minutes. The couple next to us asked about what an item was on the menu and the bartender did not know what it was and how to explain it to them. That was a red flag for us. You gotta know your menu and the couple ended up not getting it because the bartender couldn't sell it to them. I Ordered the Camacho nachos "large" size which was not large at all and honestly not worth $16.99. They were good but I could get better bigger nachos cheaper somewhere else. The southwest wrap $12.79 was good they put the sauce in the side which I didn't mind and the chips are a great side. They have other side options for upgrade for $2 or more. Heroes has elevated bar food. I've always enjoyed the one in Joliet. My big concern is the prices on some of the items. A $7 Stella is $2 too high and $2.50 more than the place a couple doors down. That would definitely keep me from going there as my watering hole. Jumbo wing prices have me a little in shock but a good special on Wednesday. Regardless, they will do far better than Quarry did and this will be good for Lemont. read more

Not sure what's with the bad reviews but we came here today with our 4 year old, played arcade games, bowled, enjoyed some cocktails and a couple apps and entrees and everything including the service was great. The place is spacious, clean and updated. What more can you ask for? This is a gem in Lemont and deserves more patronage. Thanks everyone! Abby our server was too notch. The only decent part of the night was bowling. The bar in the restaurant portion of the facility took 35 minutes to get a single drink. We had a group of 10 of us and it was embarrassing watching people line up single file to get drinks. There was 1 bartender for 2 hours we sat and watched until we had enough and got a table. The food then came out 1 couple at a time. The first couple split the prime rib dip and it got there 40 minutes before the last couple got their food. The food was terrible. Cooked wrong. I try to go here once a month on warrior wing Wednesday. For the last 5 months we have gone and every time we say never again.The wings are pretty good but the service is the absolute worst. There has only been one girl that has been there more than one time in a row and I think she is horrible and also the manager. Today I waited 10 minutes for a beer while the two girls behind the bar were talking and laughing amongst themselves. It's like this every time we go and I'm done moving forward. Always loved Hero's West's food. The wings are awesome especially on Wednesdays where they donate money to veterans and are 70 cents each.

Me & my guys come in to enjoy some 70 cent wings and it was a complete shit show. First, they were clueless on their wing deal. Second, their water tasted super sus. Thirdly, the waitress did not come back to our table to give us refills. Then when we thought things would get better when the wings came out, we were absolutely wrong. I came to Heroes for a band performance and was planning on spending a considerable amount of time (and, apparently, money based on the outrageous prices on the menu. Yes...I was given a menu...luckily had an opportunity to order an appetizer, but was never informed that I would not be able to order anything else.
