I feel awful writing this review, but my latest experience must be told. We ordered Jimbo's quite a few times since our first, but I feel the latest order had to be the absolute worst. We went with a large stuffed cheese as well as two orders of garlic dough nuggets. The pizza was burnt and absolutely tasted burnt. I get that we ordered near closing, but if Jimbo's is in such a hurry to bang out food can they just stop accepting orders at a certain time like other pizza places in the area? At any rate, the pizza was inedible and I'm very unhappy I spent close to $30 for food I couldn't eat. The garlic nuggets were even worse! They were the smallest nuggets I've ever seen and absolutely drenched in oil. There was so much nasty oil it was pouring out from the container and we had to put a plate underneath! $11 for the smallest, oiliest portions! Finally ordered a Lemonster and it was as expected.. a super thin crust with tomatoes sliced & garlic. After a ordering snafu on ingredients, the pizza we received was good but the garlic topping was oil based. Still good, but for 52 dollars final cost it's probably a bit much considering just two toppings one was oil based garlic. Also, we didn't measure it but the pizza is somewhere around 17 something inches, at least the one we received. We will order again but next time with coupons, thank you Thomas W. read more

This place used to be great. Every time I order I get the same thing for the family and we always ask for our pizza to be well done. That became a problem after a while because we would ask for well done and get our pizza undercooked. After a couple occasions of me calling and asking why it isn't well done, the manager actually told me, "most people from lemont like their pizza undercooked so that's how we make it." I was in shock. They said "you can try asking for extra well done next time." I don't wanna take the chance I'm gonna get a burnt pizza so After going to the same pizza place for 15 years I made the switch to rosati's and Never looked back. Just moved around the corner from this place, and tried it before we signed the lease. Honestly, Jimbo's one of the reasons we decided to rent the house we did. Pizza is sacred to me (I'm a Sout' Side Girl), and Jimbo's is the holy grail of pizza. "Paper thin" is the perfect crust, and the toppings are plentiful and fresh. Eating in the restaurant is nice, too; the staff is friendly and attentive, and the eating area is clean and attractive. The ONLY thing I'd criticize is that it closes too early (I work evenings, so 10 pm is about when I'm ready to sit and veg with a good meal), but that seems to be the Lemont Way. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship, Jimbo's! read more

Best buffalo chicken pizza I have ever had in my life ! Has been fresh every single time we have gotten it. I do have to say it is fairly pricy but I don't mind because the quality of the food is totally worth it. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Sometimes it's so good but then there are times when it's really bad. It's like they just don't care. Too much sauce, over cooked, large pizzas sliced in only 8 pieces, burnt pizza so they have to remake. Be nice to see a manager overseeing the kitchen. Terrible pizza! Ordered a stuff with sausage and pepperoni and garlic. First off it's not stuffed it's pan! Don't market it as stuffed. Skimpy on ingredients and I know for a fact I didn't get real garlic! Garlic you could smell, no smell of garlic or taste. Also ordered chili cheese fries again not chili. False marketing. Just moved to Lemont in the past 6 months, decided to try Jimbo's since it was right down the street from our house and absolutely LOVE it! We've tried some of the other local places (non-chains) and they have not compared. The service is great, the people there are friendly and the prices are good. The dough knots are excellent, if your going to order from there, you have to try them. They are still a little bit doughy and the garlic on them is delicious - ahhh I'm starting to drool just thinking about it! Stay away from Jimbo's! Visiting from out of town and ordered a beef sandwich with jardinera. Got it home to find 3 slices of beef and the wrong Peppers. We called to ask for consideration and were told by whoever answered the phone that they measure their needs and put 21 ounces on each sandwich. First of all that's not even logical. If you go here order ahead of time. I came in and ordered a BBQ beef and fry and had to wait 30 min. The beef had a good taste but only a few slices of beef on the sandwich, not worth it at all. In Lemont, there aren't many great pizza places to choose from but Jimbo's is now a go-to for thin crust. I moved from my hometown on the South Side where you have so many amazing choices for true Chicago pizza that you can have a different pizza every night of the week. I'm happy to now include Jimbo's. The price is fair for the area as far as pizza goes. I wish it didn't cost as much for a pizza as I feel like the meal should be a great bang for your buck. The cheese pizza holds a well balanced amount of dough, cheese and sauce. None overpowering the other. The thin is a little thicker than the average thin so I'm looking forward to trying the super thin next time. Also, the Lemonster looks pretty epic. I ordered Bosco Sticks which were reminiscent of the first time I ate the gooey goodness. Crusted edges topped with Parmesan and soft on the inside with the cheese stretching out with the first bite. The "Go To Pizza" I've lived in the area for years and when we order pizza we always go back to Jimbo's. It's the type of thin crust pizza we grew up with. I started getting the sandwiches and that sealed the deal for me. I like them all! I just love the pizza at Jimbo's. I've had the pizza a number of times and it is delicious. They have all the ingredients you could think of. The beef sandwich is fantastic too. Horrible, horrible, horrible! Ordered a medium pizza tonight. Waited almost an hour for it to be delivered. Paid the delivery charge and tip for the driver for a total cost of $29.00. After the delivery person left, I opened the box and the pizza was cold, dried out and burnt. Needless to say, I was not happy. I called and spoke with the manager. He said he would remake and deliver another pizza. I got in the car with this awful expensive pizza and went to Jimbo's to show the manager the pizza. He said he was making another one and I told him I didn't want another of his pizzas and that I would have been better off with a frozen pizza. I told him I wanted my money back. He returned the $26.73 he charged me for the pizza but not the driver tip. If you need a pizza in Lemont, Illinois, stick with Nancy's pizza. I really don't know what happened to Jimbo's Pizza. It was good at one time, but this was an awful experience and I will never order from Jimbo's again. read more
