What They Still Do Well: The service is fast and the staff is courteous. No complaints there. And they do offer a 10% discount for educators and students, which I appreciated -- except that $51.99 after the discount, for a standard conventional motor oil change, is hard to swallow. The Value Question: Let that sink in -- $51.99 with the educator discount applied, for regular motor oil. Not synthetic. Not full-service. And gone are the days when that price felt justified. The complimentary car vacuum, the free car wash, the coffee and popcorn in the lobby -- those amenities made Dipstix feel like a premium experience worth every penny. Now the extras have disappeared but the premium pricing hasn't budged. What's Changed -- And Not For the Better: The car vacuum is gone. The free car wash? Also gone. The coffee and popcorn that made the wait feel welcoming? Disappeared too -- possibly a COVID casualty, but it's been long enough that it's hard to keep using that excuse. To top it off, the lobby area is unkempt, which doesn't exactly inspire confidence when you're trusting someone with your vehicle. Fast and friendly only goes so far when the value simply isn't there anymore. I'll be shopping around for my next oil change. I ordered tires online because they didn't stock my size. I ordered on a Saturday and delivery was…read morescheduled for the following Friday. I set up a reservation for 6pm on Friday because that was the only time I was offered on the day the tires were to arrive. I called them at 4pm to find out if they could do an oil change if I came in early. The phone was forwarded to the operator who told me they had already left for the day. Their hours are listed as being open until 7pm. The store manager was no help at all. I couldn't even pick my tires up and take them somewhere else to have them installed. They claimed they didn't have access to the tires. I had an appointment for an alignment at 8am Saturday morning that I had to book a week in advance. I was unable to make the trip I had scheduled because the Tire and Lube shop closed 3 hrs early and didn't have the courtesy to call me. The manager told me she didn't know why they took reservations online and that they were short handed. Evidently they let the Tire and Lube shop work when ever they feel like it. I cancelled the order and plan to never buy anything from Walmart Tire and Lube ever again. Terrible customer service and no schiffs given.

I asked the price of the oil change? I was told $90.00 which includes 6 quarts. I asked did they carry my oil filter he stated no. I advised I had my own filter how much would he take off for me bringing my filter. He said $5.00. I agreed to the oil change amount. When I got there I let the tech know that I just called gave him my filter and waited for my oil change. The oil tech came back to me and stated my oil would be higher because he had to put Euro 0w30 oil in the car. The oil change would be $145.00 instead of $90.00. I explained to the tech that my Mercedes used fully synthetic 5w30. and that's what I used since I had the car. He told me it would be 145.00. I guess they thought I was going for the Okey doke. This establishment is a ripoff do not patronize this business.
