After a few adjustment we got a signed quote and materials were delivered within 48 hours. The following day, Alan, a fencing professional with 30 years experience showed up and began work. He's a wizard. He had the fence complete within 3 days and I couldn't be happier with the outcome.

I looked through Yelp to find somebody to fix the fence and found Castillo Fencing. I love our dog and she loves to visit our neighbors but I wanted to keep her in the yard or she might get run over by vehicles or worse, get hunted by predators in the neighborhood. There are coyotes, and foxes in SA neighborhoods, you know. I saw something in the ad that told me to call him and the owner, Jose, to my surprise, answered the phone. I told him about my fence issue, and he said he would look at the fence and go from there. Luckily, there were other issues that I wanted him to see, and wanted him to build an additional chain link fence with a 6-foot gate. He showed up like he said he would and I showed him the areas in the fence that needed some work. Also, I told him about building a chain link with a 6-foot gate and he said that he could do it. Luckily, he wanted to start that day and sure enough, we agreed on a price, and off he went to get materials. He dug the fence holes for the metal posts, see them in cement, and once he was done, he said he'd wait until tomorrow for the cement to set. He was coming back the next day to finish up. It took him a couple of days to get done because the materials for the fence gate were unavailable at the big box stores. He was able to get them finally and finished the job. Overall, he did a wonderful job getting everything that I wanted to be done. He went out of his way to get the job done well and have a satisfied customer. There are not too many workers that will handle this small job but Jose wanted to do it and I was so pleased. I was so glad to find Jose. He builds all kinds of fences and I told him that if I had more fences to build and fix, he will be the first one I would call.

Showed up and was very pleasant but unfortunately was not prepared to fix. The gate was broken because of the way that I hung it, was very informative with how I messed up tension wire and support. Requested "gas money" to cover visit, visited for a while and promised to return Monday (next day) to fix, was a "NO SHOW" / "NO CALL." To be reasonable here I would have rated higher if he would have had the common decency and little professionalism to not bid or "pull" away from fixing it with a simple call or text. For those that had great service, I wish that was my experience, sadly not.

I was able to get a consult quickly. The man who came out was very friendly and gave me their quote for the job. They were able to do the job the very next day thankfully! Overall I was satisfied with my business with this company and would recommend them to anyone with a home project.

Selecting a company to work a big project is no small feat. Replacing a fence may not be the…read morebiggest project, but there are so many considerations, especially when you share a fence with three neighbors. Coordination was very important. So I sent out my project request through Yelp and this company was one of the responses I received. This company was very responsive. I scheduled meeting for Friday at about 430 and they arrived timely. We spent about ten minutes going over the project and my asks. I was advised that I would receive a quote likely on Monday. The quote arrived on Tuesday and was much higher than the other's I received. Ultimately, that factored heavily into my selection decision. I did appreciate the follow up. I think this company could be a contender for other projects in the future.

If I could 5Star Yelp for bringing this feature to my life I would, but I digress, this review is not about Yelp, it is about City Fence of San Antonio. Some yahoo caused an accident in front of my house and took out about 40' of cedar post and welded mesh fence. So put out the word that I was looking for bids.I promptly received 3, and of those City Fence was the most attractive. Now, I believe this job (a mere patch-job) was too small for a whole crew so the contracted out to a man named Charles. Charles was awesome, he came out gave me a final estimate and even shopped the best deal for materials. He came out and went full beast mode, finishing the job in a day and reusing some of the materials already on site to prevent having to buy new fence. Worth it! A+ all the way, super happy withe the result...HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! ! !
