The rooms are all unique. Comfy beds, clean linens, a coffee maker and some snacks in each room. Right on US27 in St. John's, it's a stone's throw from the best cider mill in Michigan, Uncle John's. There's a long covered porch with various chairs for sitting around outside chatting and enjoying. The lady that runs it is just as friendly as can be. The last time I stayed there-2 weeks ago- I found a goodie bag with fruit and pastries outside my door in the morning. What a lovely surprise that was!!! It was very colorful with lots of incredible art. Our particular room was divided into 3 spaces. Upon entering there was a small foyer with an open closet to our left. It had a luggage rack and room for hanging clothing and Luxurious bathrobes that were soft and cozy !! A few steps took us to a hall-there was a cove with a commode to the left, soft lighting and a towel rack supplied us with high quality towels and washcloths including dark washcloths embroidered with "make up removal". Left a few steps and there was a large marble vanity with delightful products to meet all your needs. I was surprised to find a huge shower, w/plenty of seating and showerheads that were actually located in the ceiling as well as a large oval shower head that you could sit under. Going back just beyond the entrance was the actual bedroom. Mind you there were areas carved out of the wall along the way with statuary ....everything was so unique!! I felt like I was in Europe, We had a queen size bed, and most importantly, high-quality sheets and bedding, which is really important to me. There were a couple of windows covered with beautiful drapery for privacy. One of our windows was quite near the courtyard and had a very cool sculpture hanging from a tree. There was a comfy loveseat along with a reasonably sized television. In a whole separate interior section of the bedroom, there was a bathtub. This was no ordinary tub. It was huge like easily fits two people, but could fit more.. it was jetted with multiple jets. I had never seen a tub like . The first night we were startled by what sounded like a huge fan but was actually designed to blow out any water or dampness that was in them to keep them functioning well. I found this out when I got up to investigate what was going on over near the tub,there was a sticker that explained-I had not noticed it earlier, but this happened nightly about 9 PM whether you use the tub or not. I was incredulous. You could expect that every suite was individually decorated, but all have comfort and luxury as key components. I'm thinking I'm going to run out of space but want to comment on the delicious cooked to order breakfast. It was exactly that. Omelettes, oatmeal, eggs cooked anyway you wanted along with fresh fruit and freshly baked muffins that were still warm. The coffee was a little strong for me, but I think most people would find it very satisfactory. We highly recommend this but bed-and-breakfast if you're ever in the East Lansing area in fact, we would even travel a few hours to get to it. We plan to return soon!!! Pics are owner photos.

The rooms are large, and efficient use of space. They are attractive and nicely decorated. There is a large tv in the sitting area and a large tv on the wall across from the bed. A refrigerator, microwave, and a nice amount of storage space. Bathroom snd shower are very nice. Everything is spotless, from the lobby to the elevators to the room. Employees are super friendly. We basically took over half their dining area for almost 2 weeks. Every morning when we came down they had picked things up and emptied our trash and sometimes we were pretty messy. They always had smiles on their faces and were willing to help us with whatever we needed. Some of our days started way before 5:00 and they were always willing to make coffee so we had it available before we had to leave for the day. If you are going to the Midland area this is definitely the place to stay.

Staffed by only one person at a time, but both workers we met were helpful, polite, friendly and pleasant. There are only four or five rooms, so they sell out often, make your plans ahead of time.

We stayed in the very first room, closest to the road. Everything was fine until the middle of the night when I heard someone talking and it sounded like they were actually in our room. It was the room next door. We could hear them talking, and could hear every word they were saying. Luckily we had a noise maker to turn on so we could drown out the noise. In the morning, it was also very loud and we could hear all the cars driving by on the main road. The bed was large and spacious, but when we woke up, we were pretty sore from sleeping on it all night. Its not a typical hotel, as it doesn't have a pool, breakfast, etc. but it was very clean, which is hard to find in a hotel sometimes so I will give them that.

We didn't check in until about 7pm and she let us know right away that if we needed anything, the office was closing at 9pm (which was helpful for the second night). The motel was booked, as we stayed during a holiday weekend and there was a large family staying there for a wedding. Everyone was friendly and respectful. It was quiet at night, so no problems with noise. The room was impeccably clean and well-stocked. The pillows were quite comfy, which is saying something as I've been unable to find a pillow that both supports and is comfortable since my spinal fusion. The bathroom was very spacious and we had room to have one of us in the shower, another using the facilities, and another using the sink. Our only complaint was that the motel placed a $100 hold on the card for incidentals on top of the room charges, which caused issues with our credit union. Other than that, highly recommended!

The AC was off when we got there so it was pretty warm but when we turned it on the room cooled down super quickly and stayed cool all night. We accidentally left some cash in the room and were an hour away when we realized. We texted the hotel and they were amazing enough to refund it to us. Above and beyond service. We were so grateful for that help. Would definitely stay here again if we happened to be passing through.
