The rooms are all unique. Comfy beds, clean linens, a coffee maker and some snacks in each room. Right on US27 in St. John's, it's a stone's throw from the best cider mill in Michigan, Uncle John's. There's a long covered porch with various chairs for sitting around outside chatting and enjoying. The lady that runs it is just as friendly as can be. The last time I stayed there-2 weeks ago- I found a goodie bag with fruit and pastries outside my door in the morning. What a lovely surprise that was!!! The rooms are large, and efficient use of space. They are attractive and nicely decorated. There is a large tv in the sitting area and a large tv on the wall across from the bed. We basically took over half their dining area for almost 2 weeks. Every morning when we came down they had picked things up and emptied our trash and sometimes we were pretty messy. They always had smiles on their faces and were willing to help us with whatever we needed. Some of our days started way before 5:00 and they were always willing to make coffee so we had it available before we had to leave for the day. We stayed in the very first room, closest to the road. Everything was fine until the middle of the night when I heard someone talking and it sounded like they were actually in our room. It was the room next door. We could hear them talking, and could hear every word they were saying. Luckily we had a noise maker to turn on so we could drown out the noise. In the morning, it was also very loud and we could hear all the cars driving by on the main road. The bed was large and spacious, but when we woke up, we were pretty sore from sleeping on it all night. Its not a typical hotel, as it doesn't have a pool, breakfast, etc. but it was very clean, which is hard to find in a hotel sometimes so I will give them that.

We didn't check in until about 7pm and she let us know right away that if we needed anything, the office was closing at 9pm (which was helpful for the second night). The motel was booked, as we stayed during a holiday weekend and there was a large family staying there for a wedding. Everyone was friendly and respectful. It was quiet at night, so no problems with noise. The room was impeccably clean and well-stocked. The pillows were quite comfy, which is saying something as I've been unable to find a pillow that both supports and is comfortable since my spinal fusion. The bathroom was very spacious and we had room to have one of us in the shower, another using the facilities, and another using the sink. Our only complaint was that the motel placed a $100 hold on the card for incidentals on top of the room charges, which caused issues with our credit union. Other than that, highly recommended!

The AC was off when we got there so it was pretty warm but when we turned it on the room cooled down super quickly and stayed cool all night. We accidentally left some cash in the room and were an hour away when we realized. We texted the hotel and they were amazing enough to refund it to us. Above and beyond service. We were so grateful for that help. Would definitely stay here again if we happened to be passing through.
